The Lonetrain Station

The Royal Lonetrain Station is the only known entrance to what is probably the largest population center remaining on the continent. Once a massive coal mine for the old kingdom of Daguerre, with the advent of the winter, thousands were forced to move into the underground tunnels and, through a decade of intense, tireless work, transform it into the city it is today. The Lonetrain station is composed of several areas, the largest of which are the platforms where the Lonetrains stop after their long journeys across the frozen wastes. Passengers getting off the trains then step into the grand hall, a room large enough to house an entire Longtrain within it. To the left of the great hall is the parapet door, a massive wrought iron gate leading leading up to a wide, dark corridor. This winding corridor is the only way out of the city other than the longtrains and its usually taken by ranging parties and anyone who would dare brave the blizzard. Next to the parapet doors are the quarters and lodgings for passengers and travelers, as well as the guards in charge of security in the Station. Opposite to the quarters area stands The Victoria, home away from home for the wealthy and powerful of Longfort, Ordon, Adjanen and Al Datsa, it is probably the only building in the imperial city other than the Lonetrain Station itself that can boast natural light going through its windows.
