X-MEN: CE LOUNGE

After completing decorations and placing several Christmas trees of varying sizes throughout rooms in the mansion, the students - those who remained in the mansion for the holidays - have gathered in various areas to celebrate Christmas Eve.

X-Men Time
Saturday, December 24th

Sitting in the lounge wasn't much fun. But it was one of the few places in the mansion not decorated. Rook, wearing a sweater and comfortable pants, was sitting cross legged on the floor, a bowl of punch sitting next to him, nicked from downstairs, and a game controller in his hands as he attempted to best his opponents in an online first person shooter. He was good, too, taking out quite a few before they got him. The boy took another swallow of the punch before he spawned in again, his attention fully on the game.

Gavin burst into the room and stood against the wall beside the door, his contraband at his side. Feeling a little snackish and less than considerate, he snatched the largest container of ice cream he could from the kitchen just a few moments ago. It turned out to be a half-full box of orange creamsicles, but whatever. At least he did not have to go back for spoons, this way. Upon noticing the television screen, or rather what was on it, Gavin and his delicious captive left the wall to observe the violent awesomeness.

Rook didn't look up from his position on the floor, all of his attention on the sniper rifle scope his avatar was currently pointing at the last 'enemy' target. The sounds of the other players talking in the background about the silent user named 'Rook' was mostly that the man (for none of them knew he was a boy) was a tryhard and a hacker. This went ignored as Rook's bullet left his gun and went straight into the other player's head. He sat back as the swearwords echoed through his headset and out of the TV and he was called all sorts of names, finishing his cup of punch as he waited for the next round to start. No one invited him back, so he hit random and the screen went momentarily still. The boy finally looked up at Gavin and tilted his head at the ice cream before looking at the boy's face.

Daniela had decided to keep Rook company. The girl had stepped out of the main party at the Den when she saw the younger boy sneak off with a large bowl of punch. "It's easy for people's without faces to be dicks...." muttered the girl simply, sitting on the couch which was right behind Rook and she had managed to overhear some of the words coming out of the boy's headset. Suddenly, she went red and covered her mouth, she was usually only foul mouthed around people she knew and trusted, and though this meant Rook was one of those people, she was still surprised by it. "-Sorry." she said simply. The Black haired girl was wearing a pair of dark jean shorts that Shana had convinced her to get. Under them she wore a pair of black tights and finally a white hoodie with a pink and black design made of thin lines on the front which looked somewhat floral. She was slumping quite noticeably on the couch with her hands in the pockets of her hoodie and her legs stretched out all the way and crossed, her heel resting to Rook's right. When Gavin suddenly came in with a bunch of snacks, the girl almost jumped up on the couch, sitting up in a much more proper way than the slumpy mess she was earlier. "H-hey!" she said, red as a beet, as if she had been caught doing something bad.

Gavin raised a feathered eyebrow at Daniela's reaction. "...Hey? You'd think a girl living in a building of mutants would be less jumpy. I can't be the strangest thing you've seen." He turned his attention back to Rook and his gaming. "Doesn't look like you're very popular, huh?" Gavin took out one of the creamsicles and tore it open with his teeth with his eyes still on the screen.

"The best never are," Rook answered Gavin a bit oddly. He didn't bother to acknowledge Daniela's comment. Doing so would just embarrass her further. After getting to know her a bit, he had quickly figured out that she was comfortable to be around until you did something that she perceived as acknowledging that she was doing something inappropriate. So he avoided that and was fine doing so. With another person present, however, she was going to stiffen up a little. That was unfortunate. Emptying more punch into his cup, Rook looked back at Dani for a moment. "Would you like to play?" he asked politely, holding the controller out. He didn't mind sitting out. If one of them wanted to play with him, he would do that as well.

"I- I'm sorry." stammered Daniela waving her hands in front of her as if trying to hint Gavin had gotten the wrong idea. "I wasn't commenting on your.. uh.. weirdness.. I mean- I wasn't afraid of you or anything of the sort I was, uhm..." the girl struggled to find a way to explain she had been sitting there like a slob next to Rook and she had just jumped up to get into a more 'proper' position as Gavin walked in, but seemed unable to do so. Instead, she just took a cup of punch and gulped it down quickly to buy more time to think. To make matters worse, however, the punch somehow felt kind of hot and scratchy along the back of her throat and threw the girl into a small coughing fit of sorts. "Thanks-" said Dani between coughs, red as a beet. "Thanks but I- I suck a these kinds..." she added, then coughed a couple more times and decided it was best to try to suppress the cough with some more punch. Taking a second cup, she drank just a bit to help clear her throat. With a deep breath and a sigh, the girl's color started to get back to normal as her shoulders slumped down and she let her eyes hide under her bangs. "Thanks but I suck at these kind of games. I've been known to put up a shield when I get shot at in-game...." she finally replied in an embarrassed voice. Instead she decided it would be good for Rook to interact with other people in the mansion and tried to volunteer Gavin; "Maybe uh... uhm..", only to remember she didn't know who he was. "what's your name?"

Gavin actively fought the twitching of the corners of his lips, he honestly did! But seeing that girl flounder about in her attempted explanation was just so hilarious that he ended up gritting his teeth to keep from laughing. He did, however, allow an arrogant smirk to settle on his face. And then he decided that switching tactics would be all the more entertaining with such a shy, stumbling girl. So she did not want to offend him, huh? "Hey, hey~ No need to explain. It's my fault entirely, appearing so suddenly, exuding such innate charm. I should have noticed that blush to begin with~" He took a bite of his creamsicle to stifle the need to snicker. "The name's Gavin."

"You were too busy getting ice cream on your face to notice her blush," Rook said after a moment of observing them. He was protective of Daniela if only because she was his friend and she was likewise protective of him. He looked up at Gavin with his usual bland expression. Rook did not like people trying to make Dani feel more shy than she already did, especially when it took so much to get her to be comfortable. His hand moved to hold the second player controller out to Gavin and he held up one eyebrow expectantly, wondering if the boy would step up to the blatant challenge. It would take attention off Daniela and give him a competitor. Granted, probably not one who would win, but maybe give him something somewhat interesting.

A short squawk of indignity escaped Gavin's throat, quickly cut off by the apparent need to either cough up or swallow the bite of ice cream in his mouth. After a few moments the minor crisis passed and he leveled a pale gold glare at Rook. Instead of responding verbally, Gavin dropped the box of creamsicles and snatched the offered controller with his now-free hand. He gave a hateful sneer at the boy before sitting on the other side of Daniela and quickly finishing off his opened creamsicle in one bite.

"Uhm.. D..Daniela, nice to meet you." replied the girl to Gavin as she put down her second cup of punch. The girl was still feeling rather embarrassed but didn't really have time to reply to Gavin's teasing before Rook stepped in to defend her. The girl wasn't really used to anyone other than Shana standing up for her so, on an impulse, she leaned forward and put her arms around the boy's neck. Since she was sitting on the couch and he was on the floor, she could rest her chin atop of the Asian kid's for a second as she gave Gavin a sidelong glance and chirped, "Something tells me you're gonna get your ass kicked...." accompanied by a small, shy smirk. Soon enough, Dani let go of Rook and sat back on the couch, much more demurely this time. The girl was still not used at all to physical contact, but she saw Rook and Casper as children, so she didn't mind it. It wasn't like they were going to do anything to her. "Should I yell go at some point or something so you can start?" she added with a slightly bigger smile. She felt a bit of warmth spreading from her chest and her ears were a bit hot as well, the girl misconstrued this as coming from the hug she'd given Rook instead of the two full cups of spiked punch she had just unknowingly chugged.

Another sneer was shot in Daniela's direction when she started up the trash-talk. "What are you, some sorta psychic? Obviously not a very good one~" Gavin felt confident in his gaming abilities despite what he witnessed earlier of Rook's skill. Or maybe that was just the adrenaline from his frustration. Either way, that girl seemed a lot more fun to him before she developed a spine...

"One does not need to be a psychic to know that you will lose," Rook said. Another swallow of punch and he was sitting with his controller, picking his specs (sniping, always sniping). Looking up at Daniela, the punch made him give her an almost happy smile. One that was almost bordering on evil anticipation. He waited for Gavin to make his choice before selecting his favorite battlefield. "No screen peaking," Rook demanded before he clicked on the bombed out city.

"Please~ Neither of you have ever seen me in mah game zone~" Gavin smirked as he selected his specs (Probably sniping, too. He doesn't do close combat.) He scoffed at Rook's demand. "Like it matters. Whatever you choose will be too easy." He knew full well that Rook was probably choosing something he was familiar with and would have the advantage in. But that will just make the taste of sweet victory all the more satisfying, right?

Slinking back on the couch, Daniela simply gave Gavin a sidelong glance and sullenly muttered back, "I'm not a psychic..." before lifting her hand up towards the door and adding, "I do this." Suddenly, a sphere the size of a beach ball appeared in the middle of the air in front of the door, seemingly made of a shimmering semi metallic substance, like water mixed with oil under the sunlight, but completely opaque. As the boys seemed to be about to start, the girl reached out for the punch and shakily poured herself another cup, almost spilling some on the carpet. The girl lifted her feet up onto the couch so her knees were bent before her and, grabbing the cup with both hands, took a long sip. "Rook, what does that sniper rifle do?" she asked loudly as she looked at the Asian boy's side of the screen.

"Awesome. You make rubber balls. Bet you were a riot in gym class." Gavin remarked in a disinterested voice, inwardly seething at how everyone seems to have a much more useful power than being feathered. He ignored her actions and change in posture, not taking his eyes off the television screen. Her question, however, was impossible to resist. "It shoots. Usually bullets."

Rook did notice that Gavin didn't ask what he did after Daniela stated her powers. He instead leaned back so he could tilt his head up at her and answer. "It allows accurate shots at four times the distance the other guns do, has a built in silencer as to not alert enemy targets, and fires at twice the rate other sniper rifles shoot." He had taken a long time to unlock that gun and knew that it was available to Gavin as well. Looking forward as the match started, Rook's entire attention went to the game as his avatar climbed to the top of a building and he started sweeping the streets for any sign of Gavin's character.

Kiora wandered in and looked around. She was a little relieved to see someone she actually knew and liked here so she approached the couch. "I don't suppose a lass could get a drink around here?" She asked, leaning her elbows on the back of the couch behind Rook, being careful not to touch him.

"Fine then." replied simply Daniela with a hint of indignation in her voice as Gavin seemed to take the teasing too far. She scooted away from the playing boys and towards the edge of the couch, where she could rest her head on the arm rest in between taking sips of her third cup of spiked punch. Soon enough, she ran out, and simply let out, "Oh... empty...." with a seriously disappointed tone in her voice before she nonchalantly poured herself another cup. It was obvious the alcohol had gone to her head, as she had drank three cups now in quick succession and had only drunk once in her life before. When Kiora suddenly walked in, the girl, who was by now curled up on one side of the couch, simply glanced in her direction. In response to the blue woman's question, she simply asked, "You're hairy.... why are you so hairy?" a bit like a child asking a question he doesn't realize is offensive. "What happens if you're eating gum and it like... falls on your tummy?" she added, with the earnest innocence that can only come from being a drunk lightweight.

Gavin twitched and his grip on the controller tightened with Daniela's questions. "Why the hell do you think she's hairy?" He hissed this under his breath instead of with his usual loud arrogance. Then he glanced over his shoulder at the newcomer, and actually relaxed a little. Sure, Dani's comment aggravated him, but he supposed that it was a blessing in disguise: He was forewarned about the furriness, and if anything Kiora looked more like a person than he expected.

Rook wasn't really paying attention to what was going on, so focused as he was on the game. He spotted Gavin's avatar easily enough in the boy's distraction and quickly put a bullet through his head, ending that match. The screen went to the countdown for the next match in a minute and he looked back to see Kiora. Rook gave the girl a friendly wave as he leaned back against the couch, taking advantage of Dani's folded legs not being in the way. This put him right next to the girl, but not touching. "Hello Kiora," he said politely.

"Hey."Kiora nodded to Rook before turning to look between Gavin and Daniela, "It's so that I can go unnoticed in the dark." She said in a low, threatening tone before turning toward the punch bowl. The girl was obviously very drunk, with any luck that was the cause. She peered into the bowl and gave a sniff. The smile that touched her lips did nothing to brighten the grim expression on her face as she poured a large cup and gulped it all down.

Kiora's response combined with her general furriness caused a sort of involuntary reaction in Gavin. Despite himself and where he was, his eyes widened, his heartrate sped up, and his feathers puffed up in an attempt to make himself look larger, more intimidating. Of course, since he is not entirely covered in feathers, this fear-born reaction mostly resulted in a small afro. With a huff, Gavin turned back to the screen to take his mind off of Kiora's presence...to see that his avatar's already dead. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? YOU CHEATED!"

"If you would cease ogling the females and play you would not be dead," Rook stated, his clear voice almost sounding bored. "Will you make an attempt this time?" he asked while he changed his avatar up. Choosing ground combat rather than sniping, Rook quickly changed his guns around properly and picked up the addition of a few grenades. He looked back at Daniela and Kiora and gave them a wink that Gavin wouldn't see.

When Gavin replied to Daniela's question about Korra, the blue eyes girl completely missed the fact she seemed to have touch a nerve with her inquiry. Gavin seemed to enjoy teasing her so much the past few minutes that she would have milked the opportunity to get him back had her mental state been more sound. Instead she took his hiss asking why she thought Kiora was so hairy as a legitimate query and simply tilted her head back so it was resting onto the couch and innocently answered, "Hormones out of balance?" as she looked at the feathery boy sideways. The girl's bright blue eyes looked a bit cloudy and her cheeks seemed flushed from the alcohol, some of her jet black hair had also fallen on her face and was tickling her nose, so she started to try to blow it away instead of lifting her head. In her struggle, she missed much of the following conversation. She did manage to catch the head of Gavin's avatar exploding like a piƱata and gleefully closed her eyes with a, "Boom! Headshot!" in a sing song voice.

Kiora couldn't help laughing at Gavin, his response combined with his expression was rather comical. "Relax bird boy," she said with a smirk as she poured a second cup of punch, "I wouldn't say fear is an unnecessary reaction, but you haven't given me reason to hurt you so far." She could care less what people thought of her, and her usual thoughts of trying to be 'normal' were far away since Mihir died. She took a drink of her punch, glad that she was beginning to feel the effects of the previous glass.

Between Daniela's glee, Kiora's laughter, and Rook's statement about "ogling", Gavin's feathers where puffed up about as high as they could stand and his ears where a bright red from frustration. With a quick squawk, he decided to focus on the game and show Rook what he was really capable of! With that in mind, he reset his arsenal, fully intending to demolish Rook's avatar regardless of the events around him.

The match started and Rook looked at the map for a moment before he sent his avatar into the rubble. He did manage a glance at Gavin, though, noting that he was fully puffed up. Taking a casual swig of his punch, he paused in his gameplay to take stock of the room. If he won this match, he could always poke Gavin to make him puff down again. Going back to the match, he kept his avatar in the rubble, hiding and using the cover to his advantage.

Daniela was still unaware of the fact the punch had been spiked and she continued to happily drink it. "This punch isn't working..." she said with a disappointed tone in her voice. The more she drank of it, the thirstier she got, and he head was feeling hot and light as if it had been filled with helium. "Maybe I'm running a fever." she added, seemingly talking to herself rather than the others in the lounge. Had Daniela known she was quick on the path to being drunk, she would've been a lot more concerned, as last time she'd been drunk she had ended up being felt up by her best friend. Finishing her fourth cup of punch, Daniela poured herself a fifth one and took a sip. For a few minutes, she simply watched the game, waiting to make fun of Gavin if Rook dispatched him quickly once more."Maybe I should just get some water?" she finally asked, almost like a kid expecting someone to tell her what to do as she gently poked Rook on the shoulder with her toe.

Kiora was somewhat surprised and mildly disappointed that Gavin hadn't reacted to what many people would have seen as a veiled threat. Hearing Daniela's comment she turned her attention to the girl, "Lass, if the punch wasn't working, you wouldn't be so flushed." Finishing off her second cup of punch she poured another and returned to lean her elbows on the back of the couch and watch the game. Speaking of Rook's ogling comment, if either guy happened to look back at her they would probably be distracted.

Gavin kept his full attention on the screen. Much like he does in real life, his avatar moved defensively, staying close to a wall of rubble at all times and keeping his eyes open for any movement. When Daniela piped up, he just tuned her out. No way was Rook sneaking up on him this time!

Although Gavin was paying attention, it didn't take Rook long to find his avatar in game and sneak up behind him. There was a quick button press, and Rook's avatar threw a grenade straight at Gavin's. It bounced off a wall in the scenery before landing right at Gavin's avatar's feet. Rook crouched back below the rubble and waited the second it would take for the grenade to go off and kill his opponent before turning to Daniela again. "Do you need help?" he asked. He was feeling a little more...outgoing than usual. Not that the offer was unusual. Just that he wouldn't normally put himself out like that for physical contact.

"I-.. i think I'm ok." replied simply Daniela, obviously rather tipsy as she began to stand from the couch. The girl's movements seemed a bit wobbly and insecure because of the alcohol, but soon managed to stand up. "Ohh.. headrush." she let out with a tiny grin, her face still red from the spiked punch. With a final, quick gulp she finished her fifth cup of punch.. or was it fourth? at this point she didn't really know or care. "I'll just go get some water and maybe to the bathroom." she added as she got past Gavin, jumping over the man's legs and almost falling on her face. "Oops!" said simply Dani as she managed to regain her balance, turning around for a bit, she waved to Rook and gave him a tiny smile before simply saying; "Have fun! see you in a bit!" to the trio. Immediately afterwards, the girl simply walked out the door.

Kiora took a sip of her punch and watched the game with mild interest, "You know, of you keep about six inches off the wall instead of hugging it you get better visibility." She told Gavin offhandedly, "Especially rounding corners, it eliminates some of the dead space and gives you a better view of what you'll be dealing with on the other side. Grenade, by the way." She took another sip, finally starting to relax a little as the alcohol took effect.

Gavin had just opened his mouth to tell Kiora to mind her own business when he saw the aforementioned grenade. With a few swift thumb movements, his avatar leapt about as far from it as possible, taking some damage, but not nearly enough to kill him. He took a few shots in the direction the grenade came from, and then began to head towards where he assumed Rook's avatar was, staying a short distance from the wall as Kiora suggested. He still did not bother to thank her, though. Maybe if he wins this round.

No sooner did Gavin move than Rook's full body tackled him. Rook's avatar flashed out his knife and the match was over in time for the Asian boy to jump up, swaying a little on his feet as he watched Dani leave. Luckily his training kept him upright, but the alcohol in the punch made him a bit more emotional and his disappointment at Daniela's choice to take her leave was written all over his face. But she said she was coming back, so he slowly sank back down to the floor and looked at the game again, waiting for it to restart as he chose a grenadier class.

Where she would usually tense, ready and watching for him to make a threatening move, Kiora barely glanced away from the TV when Rook jumped up abruptly. She realized this fact with some concern before deciding that for once she didn't care if her judgment was impaired and downed the last half of her drink before moving back to the punch to pour herself another glass. She was getting a little unsteady on her feet, she had never drank this heavily before.

"NO DAMN WAY!" Gavin squawked at the top of his lungs in protest. "I should've had you that time! I dodged a damn grenade for crying out loud!" Of course that was only because of Kiora's timely warning, but who was keeping track? "That does it. I'm steamrolling your virtual ass this time." The bird boy had a grimace as he selected his class and weaponry. He was far too busy ranting and generally being loud to really notice anything his current companions did or said since his second death. Meh. Prob'ly wasn't important.

Usually not one to let idle threats bother him, Rook was too busy watching the door to really play. He was watching the screen, and saw Gavin's avatar. Lobbing a grenade in his direction, Rook didn't see if it hit or not as he turned to look at the door again, giving it a real frown this time, not just his usual bland expression. His eyes went to Kiora, and then to Gavin, before going back to the screen to see what was going on in the game.

Gavin was pretty much furious at Rook's prior wins. No way was he letting it happen a third time. Once Rook looked away from the screen, Gavin's avatar leaped into action, easily avoiding the grenade's path. He moved quickly, going around to approach Rook's avatar from behind while the player himself was still distracted. By the time his opponent's full attention was back on the screen, Gavin's avatar had a blade out and was in mid-strike.

Rook didn't bother trying to block or hit any buttons. He just watched the attack happen before he slowly pushed himself to his feet. The short Asian looked like he was slowly turning a pale shade of green. After drinking more punch than even Daniela, the alcohol was starting to take its toll and he was feeling nauseous and tipsy. Which wasn't good for the kid who couldn't touch anyone.

It hadn't been an honorable victory, Kiora was visably disappointed. Watching them play though, made her itch for a real confrontation. A part of her wished Lire hadn't disappeared so she could go pick another fight, her pride still hurt from the last one and she was in the perfect mood for a rematch. She looked over at Rook with mild interest, "You alright Rook?" She asked.

"Hah! Told you I'd win this one!" Gavin had a vicious grin on his face as he looked up at Rook, prepared to spew out a variety of insults just to prove he's as bad a winner as a loser... Wait... He looks a little sick. Gavin scoffed. "What, such a sore loser, your stomach's grouching?" Nonetheless, he dropped the controller and stood up. "C'mon. Don't need you puking all over the game." One clawed hand reached out with the intent to grasp Rook's upper arm.

Suddenly, Daniela came barging back into the room, a big smile on her face and her face still slightly red from the four cups of punch she had shotgunned earlier. Now though, she was wearing a festive reindeer outfit complete with fuzzy little antlers, red paint on her nose and a collar with a huge over-sized bell handing from it. Additionally, Dani was carrying a huge burlap sack apparently filled with stuff. "Merry Christmass!" she said, holding the door open for someone else.

'On Blitzen!' Valerie exclaimed as she tottered drunkenly in to the lounge in Dani's wake, reaching with her free hand to grab onto the belt around her friend's hips. She then commanded, 'Woah, girl!' and, if successful in getting hold of Dani's belt, would give it a yank back, like she was pulling on the other girl's 'reins'. Val was likewise clad in a festive outfit, looking somewhere between a Rockette and a mall department store elf, in a short, sleeveless green outfit, white-and-red striped tights and a precariously perched Santa's cap atop her head. She, too was carrying a sack of some sort, which soon slid off of her bare shoulder and thunked to the floor.

Rook didn't move away from Gavin's grip as the young teen's stomach gave a heave. He managed to not throw up on the floor and looked as pathetic as anyone could. There was an unmissable green tint to his face and he looked up just in time to see the swirl of color from the girls. That wasn't helping with his head as he'd grown dizzy the first time he surged to his feet to look at the door. Taking an extremely shaky step forward, Rook tried to head for the door but wasn't getting very far.

Gavin's movement drew Kiora's eye away from Rook. "You don't want to..." She tried to warn Gavin but it looked like she was too late, "Do that." Oh well, he would figure it out for himself in a moment. She looked up at the two girls who entered with mild interest.

Gavin's bird-like fingers wrapped around Rook's upper arm and...nothing happened. Rook's sweater thankfully saved the bird boy from what would have been an incredibly painful transformation. However, Gavin was completely unaware of the other boy's abilities, and thus was completely unsurprised. Instead, his talons dug slightly into the sweater as he began to pull Rook towards the door, deciding to quest for a bathroom--or perhaps if a kitchen was closer a sink would do. "If you barf on me, I'm kicking your ass."

Even in her drunken, addled, reindeer dressed state, Daniela still had this big sisterish attitude towards Rook. "Oh! you look green!" she said simply, "And not Val green." she added, pointing out the fact Valerie was in green too. "H-here!" she quickly continued as she opened the bag of 'goodies' she had brought and seemed to produce a small pot from the kitchen. "Merry christmass!" she added, putting the pot in front of Rook in case he needed to retch.

'Rookie, Rookie, you don't lookie so goooood,'Valerie slurred, punctuating her words with a giggle, then cooed, 'How thoughtful!' as Dani produced some fine kitchenware for the Japanese boy to use as a vomit receptacle. 'My turn!' the blonde then practically squealed before diving into her sack of gifts. She swayed unsteadily in her heels as she hunched over the bag, but eventually produced a rusty hamster wheel with an old, ratty jump rope entangled it in. 'Here, this is... it's just for you,' she said with glee, trying to untangle the jump rope, but with little success, and was, in fact, probably making it worse. Giving up, Valerie staggered in Kiora's direction and shoved the 'gift' in the blue girl's face.

Kiora blinked at the "gift" then turned hard eyes on Valerie, "You seriously call that a gift?" She asked in a low voice. Years of punishment had taught her to be able to hold her tongue, but after the events of the previous day, plus the four glasses of punch she had downed in the last five minutes or so had freyed at her discipline, this was the last straw. "You seriously approach me with that...thing and don't expect me to be offended?" Her voice slowly began to rise, "I've been given some real cruel gifts, but this takes the cake. Hell, my master gave me a dog collar every year for as long as I could remember, just to remind me of my place, but I have never been given somebody's old garbage!" The furry girl stood up and took a step toward Val so that she was glaring her down as she yelled at the poor girl, "If you wanted to start something, little lassie, you should have just said so, 'cause I'm itching for a good fight!"

The whole exchange went missed by Rook who gripped the pot in both hands as he staggered out of the lounge with Gavin close by. Lucky for the short Asian that the other boy was nearby because Rook's careful steps weren't so careful and he almost fell several times. It was out in the hall that he silently retched, sending up a stream of red liquid into the pot. Evidently his fourteen year old body couldn't handle the amount of liquor he had unwittingly consumed and Rook was about ready to lay down somewhere and sleep. He was leaning far too heavily on Gavin, though, to be able to really make sense of where he was heading.

Wrinkling his nose in disgust, Gavin half pushed, half dragged Rook towards X-Men: CE Cafeteria, deciding that the kitchen sink would be the best option. What was in that punch, anyways? His talons kept an iron grip on the other boy's arm, even reaching his other arm out to hold Rook up when he stumbled. Thank goodness the tomato-faced girl had a pot with her...

"H-hey, you ok?" asked Daniela, her little felt antlers bobbing around when she quickly turned just in time to watch Rook and Gavin exit the room. He attention was soon called back to the other people in the room, however, when Kiora suddenly decided to go nuclear in at the drunk girl dressed like an elf. "Geez! Holy shit you have some issues!" let out Dani, saying stuff she'd only ever think if she wasn't hammered. "C'mon Elf lady! Let's go somewhere people can appreciate a joke and a little christmass cheer!" she added, grabbing Valerie's wrist and tugging at her, intending to leave right away so they could try their luck in the X-men: CE Den.

Welp, it didn't take much to turn the dancer-elf's smile upside-down, and Valerie very suddenly looked exceedingly upset by Kiora's harsh words. She made a sound that was something between a hiccup and a sob, and she looked on the verge of tears. 'I'm really sorry!' she said, but before she could continue, Dani was dragging her out of the Lounge and to the X-men: CE Den, but she managed to catch an edge of her gift sack to drag it along behind her.

Kiora glared after Val as she was dragged from the room, wanting to say more but too angry to formulate any good insults. She found herself suddenly alone. The blue girl downed the mostly full cup that she had intended to just sip on and unsteadily sat back down on the couch. She wanted another glass of punch but she didn't feel like getting up just yet.
After sitting there for a few minutes Kiora stood, relying on her tail a little more than usual for balance. She poured herself another cup of punch and headed for the x-men: ce cafeteria to look for something to eat.

2014-05-19 [ancienteye]: Ah. So no shifting for Gavin, yet. :P

2014-05-19 [Ms. Steel]: <img200*0:stuff/xmaspinup2.jpg?y=0&x=500> Replace the bow with a hat... Val's outfit.

2014-05-20 [~Valkyrie~]: Seriously? Lol. I'm about to feel bad for her.

2014-05-20 [Ms. Steel]: And the countdown begins...

2014-05-20 [Ms. Steel]: If Kiora mentions Mihir, Val be all like, 'Girlfren, lemme tell you sumthin bout Mihir!'

2014-05-20 [Flisky]: Kiora will beat Val after that.

2014-05-20 [Ms. Steel]: Yeeeeeeah.

2014-05-20 [~Valkyrie~]: Lol

2014-05-20 [ancienteye]: Is the kitchen or a bathroom closer? Because if a sink is closer than a toilet...

2014-05-20 [Flisky]: Kitchen. All the bathrooms in this floor would be in someone's room.

2014-05-20 [ancienteye]: Will that link do? Or is there nowhere for them to go? ^-^"

2014-05-20 [Flisky]: Probably work out best. ^_^

2014-05-20 [Figgy]: Yeah, technically it's not close, but to keep from having to make more pages, that should work.

2014-05-20 [Duredhel]: I guess Dani & Val are gonna go spread cheer at the Den XD.

2014-05-20 [Ms. Steel]: womp womp

2014-05-21 [Flisky]: Waiting for Gavin post in the cafeteria?

2014-05-21 [ancienteye]: Oh! Ok. ^-^

2014-05-27 [ancienteye]: And the orange creamsicles shall melt into obscurity...

2014-05-27 [Flisky]: Bahaha!

2014-05-27 [ancienteye]: Seriously, though. That's a waste of food. TT~TT

2014-05-28 [~Valkyrie~]: Lol, maybe Kiora will grab one. I still have to figure out what I want to do with her now
