Zombies!

(based on actual events seen in movies, video games, and select comic books!)

We all knew this would happen, someday. The dead have risen from their graves, and with a limp and a moan they demand human flesh as tribute. No one knows where they came from, or how they got here. But seemingly overnight, they infested and overtook the world. Mankind had been conquered, and there seemed to be no hope left when eight survivors rose from the rubble, shovels and hatchets in hand. These brave souls must band together and forget their differences to survive. There's no radio contact---who is there to call? The only utilities that remain are those that can run without human supervision and labor. So off they go, in search of survivors and provisions, seeking only to live another day.....

[Pnelma Tirian]'s random rants!

1.- Kay, when you make a character, try to make them everyday normal people who just got thrown in this crazy zombie apocalypse and must defend themselves. People keep making characters who are perfectly tailored for zombie killing! This is boring. And I'm the GM! You don't want to be boring. You'll get eaten pretty quick! We're making fun of the human condition here.

2.- Where is everyone getting all these weapons from?! We live in a small town here! People are coming to me with like these bladed tonfas and random unique guns and knives found in obscure foreign lands. The town has a police station and maybe a gun shop. It's not an exciting place! Well, now it is. But only because of the zombies.

The abridged Zombie Survival Guide

1. If you are too serious, you will get bitten. End of story.

2. No computer talk in the rp, which means no saying "u" as a substitute for "you," et cetera. That's fine in the comments though, but be warned---there is a limit. We are all under a great deal of stress with this whole zombie thing and we WILL throw you to the zombie hordes stark naked if you go too far.

3. RP is to be done in STORY FORM so that it reads like a book. Past tense. After all, most of us are already referring to the world in past tense.......

4. No wise-asses who know everything. Everything you read in the story part of this page your character DOES NOT KNOW until your character is INFORMED by SOMEONE. No crazy characters specially attuned to this specific scenario, either. That's boring. And boring people get thrown to the undead hordes in their birthday suit armed only with a toothpick.

5. Cussing is allowed, don't overdo it, or we'll feed you to dirtier mouths. That also happen to be dead. And eat flesh. Human flesh, specifically.

6. Never get lazy and just say..., "and... stuff" and things like that, FULL OUT descriptions. Finish what you started, or it's out of your comfy bath of water and onto the silver platter you go.

7. Always stay in character, no OOC comments in the description or in parenthesis anywhere in the RP. We'll put you on the cemetary shift for a full week. Of course, now that the dead have risen, the cemetary shift has gotten a little longer....

8. Check your spelling. If you make a mistake and notice it later, going back to fix it is OK. Little mistakes are no biggie, but things you do repetitively get annoying.

9. The low limit to an entry is ten words. No less than ten words, but you can go as high as you like. Less than ten, out the window to the writhing hordes you go.

10. ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NO POWERPLAYING! EVER! Else you force our hand and we feed you to the zombies. SLOWLY.

11. You don't RP, you get eaten. That's simple enough, innit?

12. If someone has to leave in the middle of a conversation or a fight, we wait till they come back to continue the roleplay. It's only fair. Anyone who runs ahead will get ambushed and, shortly after, eaten.

13. Very important for people who are joining. This being a zombie world, your character may not survive. In fact, there is a very big chance that they won't. SO. Don't be too concerned when they do become zombies, and yes, you still can play your zombified character, but just remember! They're zombies and they don't remember anything. HOWEVER. You CAN make a new character, and re-enter the fray as them.

2007-03-15 [Ravenclaw]: glad you like it. I do plan on making some fine tuning changes. I got a quesion though. Are we talking Night of the living dead Zombies or 28 days later zombies? Zombies that slowly wander around or teh big mean fuckers who run after you and try to kill you?

2007-03-21 [Ravenclaw]: Uh yeah it is. BUt also I know Chel as a talented artist who usualy does her own characters or not at all. Some of the other players in the game nicked their pics also and when questioned about it the GM strongly advocated the use of copyrighted pics.
