About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

You know that you have a spectacular picture when both moderators want to nominate you. I was about to send [Dani-kitty] a message regarding this image when [Elisandra] made her nomination. Is it really any surprise why? The emotion between the woman and the elf (inspired by the artist's boyfriend and their characters, Alzeat and Muse) is so palpable, eyes locked on each other lovingly as their expressions convey feelings of longing and admiration, whcih was exactly [Dani-kitty]'s intent. To so effectively capture your intent is truly a great acheivement. This was also done as a gift for her boyfriend, out of appreciation for insisting that she didn't allow the bad critique she refused to put a halt to her beautiful art. And now we can all be very pleased with the results of his persuasion skills!
