This discussion alone has made me realize that It would be difficult for any one person alone to come up with a definition and develop the criteria for jurying the work. So too this end I have just created a wiki, Photo Manips as Fine Art~A Definition so that those who are interested can have a place to work out the details and can be used as foundation for a proposal to council for having it included as a medium in the "Art" competitions. I would also like to figure out a way to get the word out about the wiki, so that we can get as many contributers and supporters as possible.

[Rebulous] the only way to edit/adjust MY pose... is to take dozens of photos and see which slight hand or face shift works better... but since Im posing to empty space the minute adjustments needed are really hard to judge

I can manip Aodh to an certain extend without distorting him... and I will edit paint him to make adjustments as well

BUT due to the difficulty of my photo pose... and also the theme that we ARENT actually in the same universe so to speak... I thought a little moment before the actual KISS... not quite touching/mis-alignment... worked well

if he wasnt faded I could adjust my left hand easier... b/c you wouldnt see the photo behind him and I could adjust the arm there

I dont know if I can get the kiss itself better from my part... its really hit and miss... matchin mouths

2009-01-31 [moira hawthorne]: yes the idea of Forbidden Love... is b/c I am of the real world... and he isnt... he is my muse and subject of of my art.. he exists in my art... my head... and heart.. but is not tangible... so while I was trying to pull off a kiss with him... my small errors in proportioning and alignment are helpful to that objective...

but i did it the hard way... starting with a painting of him/Aodh i already had made

than i had to remove the other guy and the back ground... and somehow i had to pose to match his position... it was alot of work!!!
