Chagall: Above the Town


Whistler: Symphony in White (all of them) and overall his... character.




Vermeer: the ones where the light comes through a window on the left





Camille Corot: Louise Claire Sennegon (though I really ought to look at more of his work)


Chardin: his technique, especially with pastels.

Della Francesca: Duchess of Urbino


Fragonard: The Reader (mostly not into his stuff, but she is gorgeous <3 Too bad I can't use her for my reader)


Giorgione: Laura and Old Woman



van der Weyden:


Bellini: Madonna with Child

then going through wikimedia commons I found this Mary Magdalene that is win


Holbein: the kneeling female figure in the corner:


Tiepolo: his mother


van Eyck: St. Barbara (mostly for the awesome style of mark making)


Tintoretto: the awesome lighting in Mary in the Temple


Van Gogh: the squiggliness, you know what I mean without pictures... Also selfportraiture in general.
Oh and the stars:


Renoir: Dejeuner, or rather, the girl in the middle drinking water


Fra Angelico: everything ever, mostly the conceptual level

Botticelli: everything ever that has long flowing blonde hair <3 The overall aesthetic that was not the same as his contemporaries' (yay outlines and kind of unreal look!)

Zurbaran: the mummified St. Francis and the Agnus Dei



Monet: the parasol ladies



And a couple others



Giotto, mostly as an idol for standing in between the late medievalness and renaissance.

Hogarth: now I must admit I'm not a fan, not for this project, he's too didactic and moralising. But this one is a master piece:


Burne-Jones: the Golden Stairs


Goya: the duchess of Alba
