Dawn at the Fae Court

As morning dew so quietly gathered
upon the silky petals of flowers
on a meadow beside the riverbed
beneath trees so tall, as ancient towers
where faeries often held merry balls
young children trooped out, enjoying the sun
and soon stumbled into the fae queen's halls

While others broke, giggling, into a run
one tiptoed lightly round her bed of fern,
of softest moss; and timidly, shyly touched

For one brief moment, held in gaze so stern
as queen Titania woke and sat up
she stood quite still, nervously fidgeting
until she noticed: the queen was smiling

Let us start simple.
I breathe music, books, friendship, love, and nature. I create and destroy worlds daily. My mind can be a frighteningly dark place, but most days, you wouldn't know that from the outside. There are a thousand reasons to like me, and possibly just as many to prefer loathing. It all depends on where you stand.

Most of my free time is taken up by the evil that is known to the world as a computer, but I do have other interests as well. Photography, reading and writing are among my dearest hobbies. I also like to craft; I have some experience of bookbinding and making jewellery. Aside from all of that, I'm a wannabe-student of the English language, hoping to become a teacher or translator one day. In case that fails, I'd like to have my own bookshop/café. What actually comes of me shall remain to be seen.

I am taken, and quite happily at that. My lover is a techie student, a gentleman, and an artist. He is on Elftown as [Rikkiviisas]. Any further insight into him you may go seek from himself.


Five years on Elftown has resulted in yours truly having her hand involved in the making and/or maintaining of many wikis, including but not limited to Daily Poem and Poetry Discussion. Especially the latter is in need of some patrons, although be assured that we DP Bosses are always happy about new submissions.
