2009-01-17 [Artsieladie]: It's too bad about your new camera! (now old) :( Maybe the lens thing is a defect in the camera? Sometimes this happens. Did you try contacting the company that made it? Helpful hand (of cards)!
2009-01-17 [Hedda]: The one who sold the camera basically said it was my fault and I didn't have an insurance for breaking my camera.
It's the lens protection that is broken, but it should be possible to remove and get the camera work without it.
2009-01-17 [Artsieladie]: Oh, isn't that almost always the way? Ugh! They're always so happy to get your money, but once they have it, they basically don't want to be bothered, if there's a problem and if they can lay the blame on you, the customer, this makes it even better for them, not to mention a convenient way out for them. :/
It would seem so, since it is only there as a protective measure. :P
