This means I am one of the Elftown Council Veterans and
that I have had two of my poems featured on the Daily poem.

Description:
Hello.
I'm James.
I live on the South Side of a big city, and I spend my days going to and from work in my beat up auto-mo-bile with the low tires and steering that barely works. I write in the spaces between, mostly. Reading too. The rest of the time must be filled with something, I guess... most likely movies and sleeping and friends and whatever lost seconds you can't make up for in the tally. Moments lost just staring off into space or feeling a bout of peculiar whimsy (gas maybe? or is it nostalgia?). THOSE moments are my favourite.
I love the colour Blue. Green, Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Brown, Crimson, Azure, Zinnwaldite, Wisteria, Heliotrope, Cobalt and #002FA7 as well.
I sniffed rubber cement as a child.
I'm tall and dark and maybe handsome under the right light (dim ones, at least). I've never had a good haircut, I wear size 10 1/2 shoes, and I love office supplies more than a person really should.
People don't understand why my favourite book is the Count of Monte Cristo (it was written by such a Dumas, they say), but I continue to insist that while it may not be the best book of it's time, it's certainly entertaining. And in any case, memories have a way of being impressed in the pages of books like flowers... every time you read them, a little echo of whatever you were feeling when you first cracked the cover washes over you. The same applies to books and music, and sometimes even books and weather.
I think I was having a good week when I read the Count of Monte Cristo for the first time.
I'm slowly becoming a responsible person.
I'm a creature of memory. I keep useless things lying around and read old letters (love and not) regularly because I can. If this bugs you, I'm afraid we'll never ever work unless I really really like you. Then I'll just make you write me letters so that I can be sappy and nostalgic about those instead.
I'm accompanied by music just about everywhere I go. I'd even go so far as to say that I have my own theme song that changes with the hours and days.
Current theme: Eye in the Sky - Alan Parsons Project
You should be my friend. You'll get awesome presents for Christmas (homemade and otherwise!).

...

If I had one million dollars, I'd invent something so mind-blowingly awesome that it can only be conceived of whilst swimming through a pool of coins à la Scrooge McDuck.
