No. I am not a homophobe...or a republican...
or someone who's never made a mistake...or someone who's out to force his beliefs on everyone. I just love God...

I love people. I try, at least.
I try very hard.
I am called to be a giver of hope.

I am a traveler. This is not my home.
I’ve been given free rein, over the earth I roam
And I see…I see all these things in front of me
As they pass me by, these things that I see
Watching people walk by, seeing my own reflection,
Seeing hurts in their lives, problems needing correction.
I know it is not my home, but even camping there are rules
Leave things better than you found them, make sure the campfire cools
That’s all my house is, a camp, a tent to which I return
With food, shelter, a furnace for gas to burn
But I am still a traveler. And this is still not my home.

I don’t belong here. I am an alien and a stranger.
My boss, my King, has been affiliated with a manger.
It is to His land I am ultimately traveling
It is my mind that’s slightly unraveling
For I see strange things, even for this strange land
Loud proud oppression and none raise a hand
Nobody fights it, nobody disagrees
I think it’s not right, think we’re made to be free
And yet people think that freedom
Is exemplified by those I call fools. These ones are which?
The ones who break the camping rules
The ones who say they’re free to do anything, even if it’s self-destructive
The freedom I seek doesn’t require hospital stitches
(Though I’ve had a few)

I am a foreigner here on this planet called Earth
With strange cultures around me; I question the worth
But do I have the right? The right to judge?
To separate and filter out the good things from the sludge?
Sleep comes now, and now I dream
I dream of things I haven’t seen.

My definition of a REAL man:
Rejects passivity--doesn't just sit and let the world pass him by.
Engages with God--God is real to him, and he is in close contact with God.
Accepts Responsibility--Doesn't pass the buck. Deals with the consequences of his actions.
Leads courageously--Stand firm in the faith; step up, even if you're afraid; be strong.

additionally, the ability to have and maintain loving relationships is a mark of a true man.

I wear the Armor of God, from head to toe. I wear the Helmet of Salvation, for Christ has saved me. I wear the Breastplate of Righteousness, for Christ works within me and through me to do great things. I wear the Shield of Faith, for I know the power of my King. I wear the Belt of Truth, for I know the truth about my King. I wear the Shoes of Peace, for He gives me readiness to enter battle and the peace to do it. Lastly, against those I come under attack from, I counterattack with the Sword of the Spirit, for His Word has the Truth to counter the lies of my enemies.
