Surprising, titillating, teasing, learning
Constantly keeping alive this yearning
Wishing for more, confined to a taste
Wanting it all, absorbing in haste
Communities, past practices, people and more
Keep me from getting what I need in my core
In my one life to live, should I kowtow to others
And die a slow death from each person that smothers
The world is not black-and-white or strictly colors
But rather a kaleidoscope filtered through waters
The world fades away in this watery womb
Enveloping me in its cool, caressing tomb
Beneath the water looking out from within
Floating in a haven, out of my skin
It's just an illusion, this escape from the world
Other difficulties are now being unfurled
With a push toward the light and my eyes opened wide
I decided to take on the world from the inside
With a large dose of courage and fortitude too
I opened the door and said "Hello, You."

Unrestricted
Damn sagacity

In trepidation I open my eyes
Eruption of sights abound
Appreciation and warmth tiptoe in
My isolated cloud.

A picture of style and sang-froid
Oh what a wonderful boon
What pleasure I've received
But alas, it's ended too soon

Behind the drapery





Hurry whispered to flutterings
in the thickening pouch.
Hurry the headlong rush
To our meeting.
Days whirl by and finally
A cry shatters the frenzy.
Sparkling orbs
Holding the mystery of the universe
Look at me and I smile. Finally.
Hurry! an internal voice screams.
Like an automatron
Each hurried task is lost in a blur
In its whirlwind journey called life.
Until the eyes finally dim.
And hurry becomes wait.
Too late.




Winter whispers my name
And I trudge on ignoring
Winter's icy hot breath
burns my cheek
With its relentless
desire to warm
Binding my chest
In a hug
The layers protecting me dissolve
And with it my strength
Warmth has found me
And I sleep
Listening to winter's whisperings
My journey finally over.




Twisting, falling, branches, roots,
My hair, my clothing, my soul, my boots.
The mud, the ice, the rain, the snow,
The "how", the "why's", the "I want to knows".
Screams, sirens, cars with horns.
The crashes, the booms, the muted noise.
Color, lights, flashing bright.
Whizzing, whirling, spinning... height
Vertigo
Look up or down
Peace above
Around
Surround
Breath
Heartbeat
Whisper
Dark
Peace
Quiet





Secret moonlight wishes
Not meant to share.
A hope, a dream
A hint of madness
With only the darkness to care.
A friend, a foe, hidden
Is he.
In the day, in the dark
From all eyes

Who is this being
That exists in the night?
A mask, daylight hides
