Welcome to my weird Mundane Life

In my seemingly ordinary life, I'm a working artist based in Scotland. While it may sound romantic, the reality is less so. I'm not a painter—I've never had the patience for that—but a photographer, and I firmly believe photography is an art form in its own right.

I have a deep passion for history and culture, and I often travel for both work and pleasure, indulging in these interests.

Having lived in three different countries, mostly for university, I found Italy to be my favourite. My academic background lies in Art History and Museum Studies, and I confess to having an almost obsessive fascination with the painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio.

I am a follower of old Celtic traditions. I feel that is necessary information. No I will not elaborate further.

I'm also something of a bookworm, particularly drawn to the classics. At the moment, I'm rereading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.

What I'm looking for here

I've recently moved yet again, and I'm struggling to find like-minded individuals who share my interests. Although my profile says I'm in Edinburgh (and I do call it home), I'm currently on a residency in the Highlands, tucked away in a town with a population of less than 1,000. As you can imagine, it's not exactly a hotspot for "artsy-fartsy" folks.

I had an account here back in high school and made some pretty cool friends, so I thought it was worth giving it another go. Plus, I really enjoyed journaling here years ago and would like to keep a daily online archive, to romanticise my daily existence.
