Elftown was down due to a server death. Overheating or something. Some data was lost in the members-data, but nothing important I think.

Update:Some members have been lost in the database crash. Please tell me what member-numbers they had, and I will get at least their username and password back (all their messages and so on are saved). The only thing that is really gone are their presentation if it is newer than one month. Unfortantely even the user-names and passwords are lost for the newer members (see below).

All members that could be updated with their one month old info, have been updated. These new members could not be saved, but if you send me the number, the user-name and the password, I can give them back to you (so that you can read your messages again):

How to know what member number you had?

If you have edited a wiki-page, had any friend or wrote a posting, you can find a link from there to your destructed house. You will only see a "deleted user"-page, but in the address-field of the browser, you will see "membernr=something" and that is your old member-number. You can also ask someone who got a message from you, to tell from which member number that message came from.

Elftown died again. This time, [thomas] found the error - a fan had given up. Hopefully Elftown will survive this time.
