Start blogging!
You can now export your diary! If you go to your house and then to your diary, you'll see a button there with the suggestion to start exporting your diary.
You will get a link like
http://elftown.eu/~Hedda or
http://elftown.eu/~1 (Depending on how annoying username you have) that easily can be accessed by non-Elftown members too.
Of course only public diary entries are exported.
If, and only if, you use this feature, your house can be accessed via
http://elftown.eu/user.html?membernr=1 too. Might be useful to show people photos of you or your art.
