The Wedding
Gather around children and you will hear
A murderous tale of last Halloween year
It’s a ghastly story, frightening and gay
But that was nothing compared to what the neighbors would say
The tables had been set, decorated and trimmed
But who would ever guess that the killers would be them
The invitations had said: Be there by 6
But no one expected this Halloween trick
The couple were as stunning as brides and grooms go
But no one expected this hell of a show
The ceremony was short yet no less lovely
All the better to end quickly for the guests were all hungry
On the left were the brides maids seated row by row
The groomsmen beside them, their skulls sliced into bowls
The grooms family were gracious, not wanting to be rude
They sat to the right, steaming and barbecued
The bride’s family had been fried and trussed up like catfish
It was hard to choose with which to make a sandwich
The band were diced up and made into stew
Their eyes served with toothpicks but a little rubbery to chew
Of course only the blood could wash all of this down
There was so much flowing you were likely to drown
For desert the flower girls were sinfully good
Sweetened and iced right where they’d stood
Somehow the ring bearer had managed to escape
The caterers went after him, of them there were eight
It had been in all the papers, described word by word
It’s surprising to hear that you’d never heard
Come on out this year, their anniversary will be grand
But bring some spices, no one wants to be served bland
