Return

Many are the days,
that my mind seems to wander,

through my innerverse,
Moving backwards through our past,

Memories faded,
Returning anew to me,

and though we are done,
I have but to close my eyes,
and wish to return to you.

The Figment of Time

"Tick tock." screamed the clock
The sound echoes in my head
Making everything we do
Seem insignificant and few

From the beginning of life
The clock begins, "tick tock"
And doesn't stop a tick
Till your heart refuses to tock

Life turns into a race.
To beat that second hand around
But no matter what you do
You'll always end up where you began

So I beseech you all
Don't heed the false ideal of time's passing
Instead make your time mean more
Than the tick tock of that clock

Magic

Feelings envoked
From words spoken
A spell, once cast
Is never broken

A lyrical sublime
Within dreams cast of rhymes
From a snapshot of art, spells are weaved
Beauty, chaos, straight from the soul, we believe

We are the lyrical gods, the designers, the universe
We show you the world though infant eyes
Child-like we tiptoe through the wilderness
Sowing beauty through music art, rhymes

We charm those who wish to gaze
Into the telescope, at all we know, and feel, and see
And we feel
We leave our essence long after we pass

A thought, a dream an image that lasts
We paint ourselves, we weave our images, we make you hear
An explosion of colour, thoughts and notation through heavenly chants
We paint the universe within us

For you to capture and feel what we feel
The universe is within us all

Toby

He reeked of cigarette smoke (or
maybe it was pot... I could
never tell the difference) as

he took a seat across from me in
the garish florescent Metro bus
lighting, this kid at that awkward
stage between adolescence and
adulthood. There was this friend,
too, and they kept themselves
to themselves until

he violated bus Social Norm No. 1:
Talking To Unknown Passengers.
First he just tumbled over to the seat
next to me, then gave a little introductory
wave. Finally, (I'm not sure, but I think)

he said something like, "What
are you listening to?" and asked
to share. It was definitely pot
because he was pretty unintelligible.

And what is better for a high
kid than Basshunter?

He disembarked a little
ways down the road, long
before I would ever get off.
