The Tower

In the blackness of night,
That which was built, brick by brick,
hast fell, in one sweeping gesture;
Brick by Brick.
Mortar and grime about the face of everything;
This house of cards is no more.
And, As if eons ago, he retells his story to his children.
A great prince, trapped within the walls of his own castle;
...And the walls of the tower fell
In the Blackness of Night
That which lay in secrecy hath risen
To devour the threads of Morta.
The breath of Aeolus swept across the skin of Poseidon;
To unleash a great finality.
It swept across the feet of the matter,
Until it ceased to be any matter at all.
And, in the end, the great prince reiterated:
I was always who I have always been.
Nothing more, and nothing less.
And this has always been the assassin of her contentment.

Nature's Call

The winds blow memories of pain,
The trees drop mellow lines of rain,
The sky's clouds move towards the plains,
The blood sheds through my veins,
How can I go back to where I was?
When will things begin to change?

Frankie & Larry

I'll bring you down, down into darkness
So black and haunting, like a cruel old crow.
You say you need me and I'll believe it
Whether it is, maybe, or isn't so.
I seek the truth,
You keep me honest, you pull me through.

My soul!
Just a broken, beat up raven's wing,
Too old and worn to fold.
Stuck out here in the cold!
So far yet so close -
Fighting back demons, looking for ghosts.
Oh we all have our demons, though I've met more than most...

And maybe he just doesn't get -
She'll stand by him,
Even when she can not stand the journey.
For he's persistent in his passions,
A rapturous mind on the loose again -
Boy who let you loose again?!
I'll shine the light on down this tunnel,
You call on me, you tell me when,

and

I'll follow you down, down to the darkness
Though it's fright'ning, oh, and I don't want to go.
You say you need me and I'll believe it,
Whether it is, maybe, or isn't so.
You seek the truth,
I'll keep you honest, I'll pull you through.

Poor soul!
With your broken little raven's wing,
So loyal yet so torn.
Come in out of the cold!
I'll hold you close -
Chasing down monsters, hunting for hope.
You find your damn monsters! I'll hold out for hope.

She wears a fire on her shoulders - we can all see her burning!
But that doesn't mean that she's stone- or cold-hearted.
And he knows just how to rev her up -
Oh yes, he'll get her started.
Together they'll confront the darkness:
For we'll always be found, but let it try to unwind us!
I'll take you out, fly you over the oceans -
With your broken little raven's wing,
You'll let me know.
