why do I still miss you

You took my hand and held it tight
your warm kisses help me sleep at night.
I can still imagine that warm smile on your face
now you're gone and I can't seem to find my place.

Tell me why I still miss you
everything we had and all we've been through.
if it was love then you'd still be here with me
but you're gone this is the way it should be...
it's time to get you off my mind.

The Shadow and the Light

I am a shadow that you pass by
You see me as you walk by,
But the moment I leave your sight,
I leave your mind.

I am a shadow in the crowd
Always noticed, but never seen.
Unimportant to your way of life.

You are a light in the room
You come in and everyone notices you.
Everyone knows your name,
You are never forgotten.

You are a light to your friends
Open and outgoing.
That turning point in everyone's life.

You cast a shadow
On the things you touch
No one can out shine you.

I am no less important than you
For without a shadow,
No one would notice
The light

What's in a Name?

I let chimes steer me o'er Peter's Holler,
hilltop hotels, hop-scotch lies...
She is simple soil.

Terse Christ loiters to hire me,
thrice I stole to the streets lest he teleport me
to the sell site.

Steep o'er tomes I see the imposter!
Lecher she is,
pistol to the priest.
Chortle sir, to steel the echoes -
smell the slim chrome torch?
See her spite?

I repel the lepers,
strict tempest, hell is me.
I tire in heels, tempt me!

Tempt her temper, O tempest!

Pretermitted Dictionary

There is a no-man's-land
where forgotten thoughts flock,
where all words left unsaid dwindle.

I hope I may find myself there, one day
to join my colleagues
and to fade gracefully alongside them.
