To the Moon

To the moon, we set forth, you and I
To the edge of the world, where the sea meets the sky
We were running through grassland, through mountains, through streams
Through the temporal white sand, youth fountains and dreams

And we reached, as we plunged, off the edge
For the moon and the stars, and you gave me your pledge
To live life without pausing, to brave and withstand
And I smiled and I fell with the moon in my hand

Drowning Man's Song

I fall into your power
Seize me with your grace
Pull me gently down, into your arms

Moon, moon
Sing me a lullaby
As I float into the darkness
Fear no one, see nothing
As your tides rock me to sleep

Further down into the abyss
I am yours, and yours alone
Your sweet, pale face
Smiling down on me
Such no better fate

Moon, moon
Sing me a lullaby
As I float into the darkness
I am no one, know nothing
As your tides rock me to sleep

Anger

Magma fills my veins.
Fire echoes across my mind-scape.
Steel prickles through my bones.
Heat cracks and rips through my flesh.
Embers singe every pore in my face.
Pressure builds in my forehead.
*coughs*
Madness flows through my arteries.
Sadness reverberates in my thoughts.
Aching breaks my epidermis.
Castigation shatters my visage.
Regret collapses my mind's eye.
*chokes*
Anger overtakes me.
*breathes*

If I die before you

If I die before you, don't put me in the ground
Build a pyre to the sky and pour oil all around
If they need an autopsy, that's alright by me
Just don't let them suck my organs out like a bunch of pureed peas
Send me off like the gods of old, with a pagan funeral rite
The Lord won't mind you burned me, so long as you did it right
Tell my mom I love her, my dad and sister too
Don't let the boys forget me, but they can split the comic books with you
If I forgot to say I love you, or sometimes got too rough
Know now that you always had my never dying love
I might be gone and burned, ashes on the wind
But you always were and will be, my closest, dearest friend
