False Moon

Drawn like a magnet to the sweet flowing sea,
She's lost in all her passions-
The loon is trying to flee.
 What bothered the Mad Hatter
    is nothing Man can find;
What bothers the girl in the ocean
is what the insane have left behind.
And the salt from her tears
  burns in her wounds,
But she relishes the pain
and she cries to the moon,
    "When can I meet you!?"
  But she gets no answer,
    She gets confused.
In her dreams the moon, it answers
(But she doesn't know that it's a dream),
And her mind is lost in its excitements,
 Not knowing what she see's
     not what it seems.

Corner

He screamed all the fear out.

Inhaled to fuel the anger.

His neurons expressed their sympathy,
As the paralysis left his organs.
Muscles braced themselves
Pupils dilated
Spittle
Blood
Contact

Siren

An ocean, receeded.
The moon pale as I make my way forward, closer to you.
As I aproach, there is calm in your voice.
Calm, as you tell me to come closer.
I stand now in awe, powerless against the softness of your lips.
Powerless against the waves that come crashing down.
I am carried by your embrace to the depths,
Where only you can hear my cries.
Yet you are deaf, to my struggle.
I am drowning now, in darkness, with your hand held in mine.
And in my ear, you whisper, It will all be over soon.

Jacob's Ladder

Jacob dreams beyond the trees, a decent – no sinking, moving, like the breeze.
Often a flutter, and a slight mutter. As a voice in the blackness speaks, "Do you see now?"
No, and he would deny forever? Though a plague of locusts and doubt itched at his brow.
After all, to smile was to crawl – and with hands nought but claws he would find the ground bloodied and beaten.

Till the days moved forward and as his hoofs landed, Jacob reached out and clasped.
"Heaven truly knows," steps, were they steps?
"And hell knew of nothing," but suffering he swore, breath heavy and the world weary with age.
Never dwell on this bliss, or falter, on sweet steps to paradise built on the burns of purgatory.

......Is this redemption?
