I've always seen Gandalf as more of a wizard than a mage... and not just in his "official" naming.

Mages (or magicians) tend to be more "mathematical" about their spells than wizards from what I've seen. Wizards are old and wise and tend to do more of their work closer to what a witch would, (and not just in the Harry Potter sense, which hardly counts in any argument).
While it is a beautiful picture and a wonderful costume I think he doesn't really fit into the term of a "typical mage", as he is more of a debatable one. At times he is referred to as a mage, but I see him more as a wizard.

I loved all of the entries, especially A and F (and D had a wonderful concept!) but I voted for F because I felt it fit the "typical mage" role the best and was also coincidentally the most aesthetically pleasing.
