A few more poems of mine:

I had just lost one of my best friends when I wrote this. He was such a gentle soul, wonderful person, great father and a fabulous doctor/surgeon. This is what I wrote when I learned of his leaving this world!

<img:stuff/WalkintheLtXTiny.jpg>"My Loss, Heaven's Gain"<img:stuff/WalkintheLtXTiny.jpg>

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I'm feeling so blue, so all alone
For one of my dearest friends is gone.
Life's not fair of this I'm sure
For my emptiness, there is no cure.
Why oh why, does this hurt me so,
When I know that his soul is all aglow.
He's joined our Lord in heaven's place.
He knows the wonders of our Lord's sweet grace.
             Another void within my heart...
It shall remain an empty part.
All I can hope for and to pray,
Is to worthy myself to join him someday!

...and re-written after the loss of my beloved friend, my Mom...
(Re-) Written by [Artsieladie] © 5/2007

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I'm feeling so blue, so all alone
For my very dearest friend is gone.
Life's not fair of this I'm sure
For my emptiness, there is no cure.
Why oh why, does this hurt me so,
When I know that her soul is all aglow.
She has joined our Lord in heaven's place.
She knows the wonders of our Lord's sweet grace.
A huge void deep within my heart...
It shall be, thus remain an empty part.
All I can hope for and to pray,
Is to worthy myself to join her someday!

"Losing"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Losing an object, leaves one less than glad.
Losing an acquaintance makes one sad.
Losing a friendship is like losing a treasure.
Losing a friend is dreadful so beyond measure.
Losing a race, competition, a crown,
Is losing a smile, creating a frown.
Losing some time can leave us behind.
Losing a memory is really unkind.
             Losing a foe seems beneficial.
Losing a truth is more than judicial.
Losing the pain can cost a great sum.
Losing a battle needs more than some rum.
Losing a child shatters the heart.
Losing a parent tears one apart.
Losing our hope makes mountains too steep.
Losing our faith leaves us in darkness to weep.

"Peering Through The Pane"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             Through longing eyes she watches,
The games, the fun, the laughter.
Her heart longs to be a part
             Before, during, after.
She winces as they point in her direction,
For the giggling only grows, as they revel in rejection.
A warm, wet tear rolls down her reddened cheek,
But she smiles anyway for words she cannot speak.
As she slowly turns away and fades into the shadows,
Silently she wishes for nevermore tomorrows.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
But the dawning of new days arrive,
             Commencing daylights in rebirth,
             Peering through the pane still,
             She questions her self worth.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Then one day, peering through the pane,
Suddenly she hears, yes, indeed, her name.
As the pounding in her chest increases, her vision becomes a blur.
Her ears must be hearing things for they can't be meaning her.
The crowd is persistent. They continue their request.
They're even adding words like, "Come on! You are the best!"
So, bravely she steps out from behind the pane.
She offers all the best she has, never thinking of self gain.
They gather 'round her with bubbly, eager chat.
Laughing and convincing her, she is where it's at.
Her heart is filled with gladness, perpetuated joy.
For she can't believe, her acceptance, they employ.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Now the task has been completed, drawn into a close.
Where is everyone? Hadn't her they chose?
With sadness and dismay, she stares in disbelief,
Feeling so forsaken by each a clever thief.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, once again, she stands alone, on the outside looking in.
A deepened, swelling sorrow forges the unforgiving sin.
Discouraged and disheartened, more so than before,
She knows her strength has dissipated, gone forevermore.
Ne'er will she peer again through a cold, relentless pane.
Her heart, her spirit, shattered hopelessly by unmitigated pain.

"Chrissy ~ ~ happy11xxx!" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

               The happiness you've spread.
The joy within our hearts you've placed.
The color you've painted, added to our lives,
               So effortlessly you've aced.
               Although we will miss you,
The cheer you've brought to all,
               Your star will shine brighter,
Your wings have made their call.
               When we're feeling lonely
For the warmth you have given,
               We will just look up
To your star up in the heaven,
               For we can rest assured
               You are there and still,
Your joy and happiness lives on
               And it always will!

"Insignificance"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The cover is faded, ragged, worn.
The binding is frayed, thready, so torn.
             The pages, fragile, crumbling away,
Words are jumbling in rooted decay.
             Twilight embraces with age, adorn.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
An ol' relic now, with purpose lost,
Callously mocked, so quickly it's tossed.
Feed the fire, with a hunger it burns,
             Void of remorse, rebuking returns.
             Insignificance bade, death embossed.

"Whispers"

             ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
             I've come to a conclusion,
             One that is surreal.
             It's certainly not a catalyst
             To make me better feel.
             Its reality has hit me
             Square in the face,
             But it's best to know,
             Dare not substitute, replace.
             I guess some think
             I was born just yesterday,
But really the joke will rest
             On themselves one day.
For those that laugh and mock me,
Find fault in all I do,
             Your day will come,
When you will feel this, too.
I will not change my standards,
Stoop to a level that's below,
             Nor will I compromise,
My faith in what I know.
             Jealousy is a wasted energy,
             One which I reject.
             Its roots are evil based
             Without any positive affect.
If those that mock me, think
             Their whispers can't be heard,
I've got news for all of you,
             I know every word.
But, if this brings you pleasure,
             Carrying out your deed,
             Please continue onward,
             Cultivate your seed.
             Just remember this,
I do not wish ill will.
I wish you a much better reap,
Than that you all doth till.

"I'm So Sorry For Living..."

             ,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,♥,
             Each day I walk,
             The shorter grows my path.
             As each day closes,
Less chance to face the wrath.
             God, it isn't easy,
             But I'll take the blame.
             With a shattered heart,
I'll hang my head in shame.
             If it will keep others,
             Shining in the light,
             I'll bear it all,
And zip my lips up tight.
             But, you know, God,
             The truth that's being kept,
I hope it's all so worth,
The tears that I have wept.
             The day will come,
             When their eyes will open,
             It will be too late,
To mend, as they'd be hopin'.
             For when I've left,
A long time gone I shall be.
All the voices in the world,
Shall be silenced, all by Thee.
