2007-01-22 [Paul Doyle]: Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. There ya go. I just had to get that out of my system. It screams "1980s" more than most 1980s. Well, maybe not as much as Red Dawn and Rocky IV, but I think y'all get the general idea :P
2007-01-22 [Dark Side of the Moon]: heh heh! Anytime I hear "1980's" the first thing that comes to mind is "The Breakfast Club" or "Revenge of the Nerds".
2007-01-22 [Lothuriel]: The Breakfast Club is most favorite movie EVER!!!
2007-01-23 [Lady of Lore]: Bearkfast Club! (Total Molly Ringwold(sp?) fan ^_^)
Bill and Ted's Axcellent Adventure....M
2007-01-23 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Oh I so wanted to be Molly Ringwald: cute, cool hair, pretty complexion. How about War Games with Ally Sheedy and Matthew Broderick? Or Tron? Remember how "high tech" that movie was when it was made? Who will admit to actually seeing it even once? *raises hand feebly*
2007-01-23 [Lady of Lore]: raises hand as well

2007-01-24 [Paul Doyle]: Other than the real-world sequences being hopelessly dorky, "Tron" kicked major tushie. I like it how they made MCP look like Kool-Aid Dude From Hell. I've seen "Tron" at least ten times.
2007-01-24 [Paul Doyle]: The only thing I hate about "The Breakfast Club" is how they made the weird chick "normal" at the end, in order to Conform and thereby be Popular. Yuck.
2007-01-24 [Paul Doyle]: "Weekend at Bernie's".
2007-01-24 [Lady of Lore]: Lol, isn't that the one where Bernie orsome guy is dead and the two other guys pretend like he's alive?
2007-01-24 [Paul Doyle]: That's the one. The sequel, unfortunately, stiffed.
2007-01-24 [Dark Side of the Moon]: *ba-doom chi!* Bad joke...
I liked the all of the special effects in Tron and have seen it about ten times also. I really liked how they made the characters look like silent film actors in glowing suits. But you're right [Paul Doyle], the real-world scenes were dorky. You have to remember in "The Breakfast Club" that the weird chick, even though she was made up "normal and pretty" at the end of the movie, still had a case of chronic dandruff. I'm sure she wasn't the jock's girlfriend for very long.
2007-01-25 [Lady of Lore]: Lol, I just love the lines "Does Barry Manalow know you raided his wardrobe?"
and doesn't the dean say "Grab some wood!"
^_^ It's been a while since I've seen the movie....defin
