Above Basically my first view of Australia, coming in to land in Sydney. As we got closer, I could actually see someone snorkeling in that bay. ~~ 2 shots of Bunker Bay from pretty close to where we came out from the resort ~~ My bee sting. Man that hurt!!

<img200*0:stuff/DSCN0244rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/DSCN0246rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/DSCN0247rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/DSCN0258rsz.JPG>
Above Sponge! Before it got bleached by the sun and turned a very boring brown color.. ~~ Fun rocks for clambering on, and me doing just that ~~ We had the beach pretty much all to our selves. Those are our footprints *grins*

Above The only shot I took from inside the resort.. I regret now that I didn't take more. That's looking out from the patio where we ate breakfast ~~ A tree FULL of spider webs, that you could only see from that angle because of how the sun was hitting it. So cool.. ~~ I loved the trees there. So different than at home. All twisty. I forget what kind those are, have to ask Nic. ~~ And, as usual, where there is a cool tree, there's usually an Angi to be found -in- said tree... *laughs* I can't help my self.

Above More twisty trees (same one, actually) ~~ Shell Beach (which had less shells than the other areas we explored, probably because more people go there)~~ more cool trees ~~ and my favorite shot of Nic from that part of the trip, which I may get grumped at for posting

Above Still in the area of Shell Beach, but climbed up the cliff a ways for a different view ~~ An unfortunately blurry pic of Nic and I.. Not sure why it's blurry, as the camera was sitting on a rock shelf and set on timer.. ~~ Limestone cliffs and caves. Lots of warning signs posted saying not to stand too close to the cliffs and not to climb them and such not. Apparently the limestone breaks off and falls on people with some degree of regularity.

Above Last shot taken at Bunker Bay before I fell in with my camera.. ~~ Nic's back yard ~~ Nic's mom's lemon trees - novel to me because we can't grow citrus fruit in Canada ~~ some of the lemons were HUGE!

<img200*0:stuff/IMG_0040rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0046rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0047rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0050rsz.JPG>
Above Hibiscus growing in Nic's back yard ~~ Nic and his cousin Dave cutting down the palm seeds from their grandparent's tree ~~ Nic carrying a dead palm frond ~~ Dave's pet bird.. Can't remember what kind it is, but they're wild in Australia. Something else I'll have to ask Nic.

<img200*0:stuff/IMG_0061rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0062rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0063crop-rsz.JPG> <img200*0:stuff/IMG_0065rsz.JPG>
Above The hills behind Nic's Grandparent's house. WA is a lot greener than I expected it to be.. ~~ A bit of Nic's family, and me... ~~ My favorite shot of Nic and I from the trip ~~ Part of the park in Gin Gin. Apparently that area there where it's all marshy is perfect habitat for one of the nice friendly poisonous snakes they have.. *sigh* No tramping around without a care in -that- country..

Above Australian Magpie.. I like the ones we have at home better. I had to laugh at their crows though. They sound like sick sheep! One of the oddest noises I ever thought to hear. ~~ Nic and I semi dressed up to go out to dinner my last night there ~~ Perth skyline

Aqwa (aka: the aquarium)
Perth Zoo
My little tour of Sydney
