You must use each set of five either in a fiction or poetry piece. Inflections allowed, but you mustn't change the lexical category. If the word could be in several categories or have several meanings, pick freely which to use.

Set Two: execution, gravelly, haunt, persuasion, washed-out

As I await

I await my final breath,
My cold-crusted execution,
My few last rites are all I've left
To grant me absolution.

I do not want to haunt and hound,
With washed-out face and ghoulish eyes,
But by my gravely grave is found,
My battered, broken body's cries.

If I could live for one more day
My persuasion would not stutter,
For I am key to where secrets lay
That e'en heaven may not utter.

2009-04-11 [Chimes]: Hmm.. I've had a thought... should I change 'even' to 'e'en'? It seems to 'flow' better.

2009-04-11 [Linderel]: You could try it, certainly.

2009-04-11 [Chimes]: I shall!
