Bloodsucking Fiends review
by Christopher Moore
On her way home from work, Jody gets attacked. She wakes up under a dumpster with a burned hand and a
lot of money. It doesn't take her very long to realize she's been turned into a vampire. She also realizes that she needs a minion - someone who can go out in the daylight.
Jody goes to a local supermarket in the middle of the night and meets Tommy. Tommy has just moved to the City from a tiny town in Indiana. He wants to be a writer, but being the manager of the night stock crew at the store pays the bills for now. Shortly after meeting,Jody and Tommy move in together.
Things go pretty well for the couple, except for one thing - the vampire that made Jody is out there, killing people, and leaving the bodies near Jody and Tommy. And so the police get involved...
Another winner from Christopher Moore. He takes the standard vampire tale, adds some humor, and ends up with a great book. Now I'm on to the sequel...
