Neneh looked at her curiously, "Why are you helping me?" She asked softly so as not to awaken the two girls.

*You are a friend* Came a soothing wise voice. Trissa rolled in her sleep and Tora glanced at her. *Besides..Trissa needs friends, she needs to trust those of her kind, not just the animals.*

"Am I really worth her trust?" Neneh asked, glancing over at the sleeping girl, "I really don't want to involve her in the task that that pendant piece she has around her neck entails..."

*Sadly Trissa is all ready involved. We have been pursued for over a month now.*

"I see..." Neneh said softly, "I've been out here for over four months on my own. I only just met Mira last night..."

*Trissa needs friends, she does not trust humans...she has been hurt to much, she will need your help and Mirah's*

"I will do my best to gain her trust and to protect her." Neneh replied, standing and stretching slightly, "It would be nice if I could just go home... that's what I think sometimes. If only I hadn't grown up to be a warrior I wouldn't be in this situation, I wouldn't be cursed"

*You wouldn't be the same person.*

"Yes... I know..." She released a soft sigh,"I'd still be the
blissfully ignorant farmgirl on the outskirts of the royal palace..." She chuckled dryly, "I wouldn't have been dishonerably discharged from the army and banished from my country... I still haven't found a decent border to slip through..."

"The animals could help." Trissa said setting up.

She sat back down again, her gaze tired, "That would be nice..."

"I will need to regain my energy, then I can send for trackers."

"I think that we should all get some sleep. I'll shield the cave from sight, but until I take the barrier down nobody can leave here..."

Trissa nods. "All right. Tora walks over to Trissa and rubs up against her.

Neneh placed her hands on the cave walls, and for a moment the shadow shuddered before stilling, "It is done..." She said, leaning against the wall sleepily, soon her form shifted.

Trissa blinked in shock. Is she part animal? She wondered.

She pawed mutely at the air, another past memory playing through her mind. Why does it have to be this way? I only want... freedom from my curse...

Trissa watched her not sure what to do. She brought her knees up to her chin and rested her head on them. *Why do they like me?*

Mira just smiles at them but just looks outside.

Trissa looks to her. "Wh...what is she?"

Mira feels sadness and confusion now but smiles at Trissa. "I don't know young one...but she has a lot on her mind that's for sure."

Trissa looked at them, feeling for the hundredth time that she didn't belong.*That is because you don't. You belong to lord Drake,he would be displeased if he found you so far from his side. You are supposed to be his wife!* Trissa staggered as she heard her tormentor's voice, she fought to keep her breathing even, and tried not to show her fright, as to make the others worry. ~I am not going to marry him! Tell him to leave me alone!~

Mira instinctively gently hugs Trissa. "Please don't think you are inferior you are in need of a friend. We are willing to help you."

Mira tries to allow her tender heart to shine through.

Trissa fought back the tears that she knew would come.*Trissa you don't deserve their friendship, you don't even trust them to relinquish your past to them.Lord Drake will give you riches, he will forgive you, but will they?* Trissa hid her face in her knees biting back a sob.~LEAVE ME ALONE!!!~

Don't be afraid he can't hurt you. We do not need you to tell us about your past. We are willing to stand by you no matter what.

Mira keeps her gentle embrace around Trissa. Mira smiles at Neneh. "How are you feeling?"

Trissa sagged into her arms sobbing, Tora brushed against her to try to comfort her."I...can't get rid of him!"

Mira smiles at her. "It's ok little one you are safe."

Trissa shuddered as she nodded slowly. *Trissa, tell them your secrete tell them, see if they will stand by you after you tell them what a traitor you are, tell them what you did, he is the only one who is willing to live with you, you belong to him.*

Mira hears the voice. "Neneh this little one needs our help."

Trissa covered her face and hid her tears."He..is right....I don't deserve your kindness..."

"Don't be silly everyone deserve some kindness in their lives."

Mira looks at her other friend pleading for help.

Trissa looked to them both in confusion. "B....but....why?"

Mira smiles and hopes she knows what she is doing. "Because we all know what it feels like to be alone."

Trissa looks up at her. "But...I am tainted...'

Mira remembers one of her own friends saying those exact words. "That does not matter true friends stand by you no matter what you are or have done. As long as the person excepts the others friendship and can offer it back."

Trissa's purple eyes fill with tears. "What...if I can't?What if I don't know how?"

Mira smiles softly. "You helped me when I was in danger. That is a gesture of friendship."

Trissa slowly hugs her. "I.....am so scared.."

Mira smiles as she hugs Trissa. "It's ok to be scared but please know that our friendship won't fade."

*Yes it will! They will hate you when they find out!*

Mira gets frustrated at the voice. WHY DON'T YOU SHUT UP AND GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO TORTURE!

Yes... whoever you are, stop tormenting Trissa or I will travel the length of your connection to her and tear your mind to pieces. Neneh's thoughts echoed silently as she still slept.

Trissa looked down at her hands. "H...he is right though..."

"What you agree with him?" Mira feels slightly hurt but she has a strong mental defense just not good with the sword.

"Trissa...am I tormenting you?"

We only want you to feel as though you can trust us.

"I.....am not human..."

"That does not bother me at all. I think you are a very special creature."

Mira offers a gentle smile.

"I..was thrown out of my village....they said I was "Unnatural"......*Tears stain her face* "I wouldn't let him.." She whispers the last part.

Mira gently smiles at Trissa and pulls her into a gentle hug. "It's all right that was not your fault and you were right to defend yourself."

We're here for you... we'll protect you now. You play a part in our quest.

"B...but.....I killed him!" *Bursts into tears*

Mira keeps hugging her and wipes her tears away. "He was horrible to you. Please allow us to help you."

She reminds me of the friend I lost during a savage illness.

"His brother.....he is the one that is after me..."

We'll protect you from him.

"Yes we will not let this fool take you." Mira gives a determined smile.

I don't feel as scared anymore...Gram I will miss you but I understand why I am needed for this quest.

"But.....I am a murderer....don't you two hate me?"

Mira shakes her head. "No in fact that just proves how much you need a friend."

Should I teach her how to defend her mind?

*Looks Down* "Thank...you...both of you."

Mira smiles at Trissa but gets up to tend to the fire. She gets out some of her grams jumblyaya.

"I am sure you are hungry still.."

You have committed no crime- we cannot hate you for defending yourself.

"She has a point you know."

Mira states as she tends to the meal.

Trissa smiles slowly. "I..am hungry....I am sorry for ...burdening you."

Mira frowns slightly at that."You are no burden..you are connected to us by this quest we all have to take part in."

Mira tends to the meal trying to get it just right.

"Quest? What quest?" Looks at them questioningly.

"A Quest that will lead us to more pendent pieces and revelations of a lifetime." Mira spoons out some soup.

"It is ready."

"What revelations?" Rubs her bare feet into the dirt.

Mira gives her a bowl. "That is still a mystery. We each have to find out what is inside of us."

Mira smiles at Neneh.

Trissa smiles and than sighs. "Than there isn't much about me that is important..." *rubs her feet deeper into the earth.

Neneh sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes sleepily, "That smells really good..." She mumbled.

Trissa let out a small yelp as her foot was pricked by something. She quickly retracted it and picked up the object. It was a small knife tip. Trissa started to clean her foot carefully. *Stupid me....I shouldn't have done that!*

"Are you alright?" Neneh moved swiftly to her side.

"Yes....just a small cut..." She rubbed the silver mark on her foot, were the cut was at.

"Trissa!" Neneh gasped and grabbed the foot as she caught sight of the mark, "Do you have any idea as to what this means?!"

Trissa winced as she grabbed her foot. "No....it's just a birthmark...a witches mark." Mutters the last bit bitterly.

"It is no such thing." She said softly, excitement in her tone, "This... this is a mark signifying high royalty!"

Trissa looks at her in shock and turns pale. "M...me?Royalty?" Laughs at that as though expecting a joke.

"I am quite serious." She replied.

Looks shocked. "But....I am a lowly....barbarian....I can't be.." Hugs herself and shivers.

"You are not a barbarian or lowly." She replied evenly, "And this proves it."

"How.....how could I be?My mother.....she was the only one who showed me kindness....*Tears streak her face* "They....they..killed her for loving me.."

Mira smiles at this scene but is lost in her thoughts.

She is so innocent.

Trissa leans her head against the wall of the cave.

Mira smiles at Trissa. "I am also royalty...but don't know how much it would matter...my country will most likely be in shambles."

My mother will be murdered I am sure.

"W....what do you mean?" Takes a shaky breath.

Mira lets out a sad sigh. "My home will not be the same once I return and there are people out to kill me because my way of governing is different."
Not to mention I have mental abilities but that's beside the point.

"I am sorry.I....don't even know my origins..."Trissa mumbled.

"We have something in common then." Neneh replied, "I grew up not even knowing who my parents were."

"My mother.....was Wolf Sprite.....that's what Tora told me anyway....I don't know who my father is, or even if he is alive.'

"It's ok...we all are connected in some way." Mira smiles at Trissa.

I'm glad t know I have such friends.

Trissa started to look a little more at ease with them. "I....still don't think it is the right time to tell....everything.."

"You can keep to yourself what you most desire to keep to yourself. We will not force you."

"Thank you.....truthfully...I wish I could forget." *Shivers*

"I know that feeling well..." Neneh said almost too softly for her to hear.

"What...do you mean?"

"There are things of my past that I would give anything to forget. Horrors that can't be erased."

Trissa looks down in shame. "Sounds like me....."

"See? In a sense you and I are alike. We can deepen our bonds of friendship, protect each other from our pasts as well as what is to come, and get stronger with each day."

She nods but says nothing.

Mira just stays quiet and allows herself to just be there for them.

A teer rolled down Tressa's cheek and she quickly wiped it away in anger.

"Let's get some rest. We'll head out at dawn." Neneh said.

Trissa nodded and laid down.

Mira rests but does not fully go to sleep.

After Trissa thought they were asleep she got up and moved to the front of their camp. She stared out into the darkness sadly, rubbing her stomach .

Mira secretly followed her. "You seem unsure."

Trissa jumped and removed her hand. She turned to her with tears in her eyes. "I.....don't know what to do....I don't want to be a mother yet.."

Neneh's barrier glowed briefly, warning that they were getting too close to it.

"What good would it do you to be alone?" Mira offers a kind tone.

"You would be alone and helpless. Please let us help you."

Trissa moved a little back from the barrier and looked unhappy. "I.....was rapped..."

Mira smiles gently at Trissa. "I'm sorry to hear that but I still want to help you. Please don't run away."

Trissa hugs herself closely and looks at them with surprise. "You......don't think I am tainted?"

"No I do not...it was not by choice." Mira offers her arms to her.

This poor child has been through a lot.

She shuddered and let herself fall into her arms, she started to cry in relief.

Mira smiles and holds her gently.

"I understand it's ok to cry."

"He.......won't stop tell he has me....."

"Easy my friend we won't let him have you ok." Mira keeps her motherly touch with her.

I wonder if my persures will be hold off.

"Why.......did they let it happen.......why did my family do nothing?"

"I don't know the answer to that."

Mira smiles at her and keeps holding her.

Trissa slowly fell asleep.

Mira picks up Trissa. "Neneh...how many are after us now?"

We need to get to safety.

"I don't really know..." Neneh said, "Between those that are after Trissa, yourself and me we've stacked up quite an army." She laughed grimly.

Mira laughs bitterly at that. "And we are only three of the pendent bearers go figure. We have a mini war to fight."

"Neneh...that Princess you worked for, where did she rule again?"

"It's Kife." Neneh replied.

Mira nods at that. "So it is true your emperor has been missing..she is from a group of nobles right?"

She has so much on her plate maybe I shouldn't be asking such questions.

"Our world's emperor has been missing for many years." Neneh replied, "She is a noble indeed."

Mira nods and looks around to find somewhere safe to go.

"Oh there seems to be a small farm village not far from here."

"I will shield both yourself and Trissa from harm." Neneh said smoothly.

Mira nods gently but sees a small delimma.

How am I going to get my things when I have a sleeping friend in my arms?

"I'll carry everything also." Neneh said, "it's not a problem, I'm used to carrying more than one pack." She quickly loaded the things on her shoulder and lowered her barrier before reforming it around Mira and Trissa, so that they appeared invisible and she herself appeared to be traveling alone.

Mira just follows and worries about the road ahead.

Neneh walked silently, not looking over at the two of them soas not to draw suspicion to herself or the 'empty' space beside her.

Mira hears horses and hopes that Neneh will be all right.

Neneh turned her head towards the sound of the horses and became more cautious as she moved.

Something catches Mira's foot and she stops to try to not trip.

um...Neneh..watch out for whatever is lurking. hope Trissa will stay asleep.

Tora growled quietly in warning.

What is it Tora?

*Trissa's tormentors*

Mira nods and strengthens the barrier.

She could hear a few voices up ahead.

Mira proceeds slowly.

Several men on horseback come into view.

Neneh loosened her scythe in it's sheath and moved forward cautiously, keeping a steady flow of energy moving into the barrier to make sure it wouldn't falter.

Watch out Neneh...they are Trissa's tortures.

Mira gently gets over her obstacle but still moves slowly.

I know. Neneh replied simply.

"WHO are you girl?" One of them demanded, his helmet hid his face.

"I should be asking the same of you." Neneh responded simply, "Don't question me before you answer it for yourself."

Mira still keeps her distance to try and keep Neneh's plan working.

What could this mean? Mira hears a familiar bell that disables her mental abilities.

One of the men look to where Trissa and Mira stand. Suddenly he spurned his horse forward and grabbed Trissa. The horse wheeled behind the other men. "Seize them!"

Neneh drew her scythe and quickly ran towards the man that had grabbed Trissa, cloaking Mira further and silently begging her to keep back.

The other men circled protectively around the man. "Stop! No fighting!" The man commanded. He looked to Neneh carefully. "What do you want with my love?"

"Your love?" Neneh scoffed, "She's my friend, and I'm protecting her from the likes of you. Now I'd tell your men to stand down or someone might get hurt." She twirled her scythe nonchalantly.

"What do you mean the "likes of me?" I love Trissa, she and I are to be wed.I want her protected, so I thank you for doing so but now I will take her home." He said commandingly.

Trissa shivered a little and muttered something, she still appeared to be asleep.

Tora growled softly. Be careful he is a powerful magic user!

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you take her anywhere." Neneh said firmly, burying the spearhead of her scythe into the hard dirt.

"Why is that, and do you really believe you and your invisible friend can stop me?"He said looking directly at Mira.

"I can stop you without her help." Neneh said coolly.

"You don't know what you're talking about. Trissa is in danger, I am the only one who can protect her!"

"She obviously doesn't want your help."

"How do you know what she wants?" He demanded angrily.

Because I know her." Neneh replied evenly, "Now let her go."

He narrowed his eyes at her. "I know her too, and I love her."

Trissa moaned and opened her eyes. "Sparrow?" She whispered in confusion.

"Release her." Neneh said.

Trissa looked at Neneh in confusion. "Neneh...this is my friend Sparrow."

"Your friend? Why did he kidnap you from us then?"

Trissa looked at Sparrow in question.

Sparrow hugged her close. "I didn't kidnap her. I thought you were with the people who tried to hurt her."

"Oh yeah, I was hiding her from view while allowing her to walk freely because I wanted to hurt her," Neneh said sarcastically, sheathing her scythe.

"You were hiding her from view and she was unconcious!" Sparrow shot back.

Trissa looked at them both. "Guys stop fighting please? Ummm Sparrow...you can let me down."

Sparrow reluctantly sat her down and dismounted. He signaled to his companions who rode on a head.

"Touche." Neneh simply grinned, "If I were truly a bad guy though, I'd have killed first and asked questions later."

"Or you could have tried and gotten killed by me and my men."Sparrow stated.

Trissa groaned at their arguing.

"Believe what you want." Neneh shrugged, yawning suddenly and balancing herself against a tree.

"let's set up camp." Trissa suggested.

Tora still growled low.

"I don't think it wise to set up camp in such an open place." Neneh murmured tiredly.

"Than were should we camp?" Trissa asked looking around.

"There is a cavern not far from here, it should fit all of us." Sparrow said.

"A cave sounds fine to me." Neneh said, forcing herself to stand without the aid of the tree and cursing the mage that had cursed her.

Sparrow frowned and offered his horse to her, he started to lead the way.

Once they found the cave, Neneh leapt off of the horse and moved forward first to make sure it was safe. There were a few dangerous cracks near the ceiling, but those were easily remedied by a magical shield she threw up automatically.

Trissa sat down near the back of the cavern and Sparrow followed.

"So how were you able to see Trissa, anyway?" Neneh asked, "Once I had cloaked her with my spell I mean."

"I sensed the magic, it was merely a matter of picking what spell was in use. I have had that ability for years."

"I see... perhaps next time I'll have to code it a little better."

Trissa smiled into the small fire Sparrow made. "I don;t know if that would help Neneh....he was able to determine the spells the elders used too."

Neneh shrugged, If I hadn't lost half of my life force it would be no big deal... She thought to herself. "You never know." She said aloud.

Sparrow rolled into a sleeping mat. "Night ladies, I will take second watch."

"That's fine by me." Neneh said, "I'll be first, get some rest, Trissa."

"ok..." She laid down and fell asleep Tora whined softly, as she sat next to Neneh.

"Is there something wrong?" Neneh looked down at Tora.

Sparrow may not be trust worthy I sense hidden motive.

I'll keep an eye on him. Neneh promised.

*nods*

Neneh leaned against the wall in such a way that was comfortable enough that she wouldn't constantly be shifting about, and yet not comfortable enough to drowse her into sleep.

Mira notices a strange mark on Sparrow's neck one she reconigizes as the Duke's protective seal. Could that be? Feaitheric...the duke who wants to end my line? No how would the likes of him run into the duke...I agree with Trissa. I should sleep but I am beinging to feel more anxious.

Sparrow watched Trissa sleep with a smile on his face.

Mira smiles inspite of herself. Maybe I'm being parranoid.

Sparrow sat a bowl down and poured a silver liquid into it than started to chant softly.

Mira freezes as she reconginzes the language...No it can't be...that's

Sparrow lefted the bowl up and examined the contents carefully, he frowned as though seeing something.

"What are you doing?" Neneh asked him.

Mira feels completely weak. That liquid is the Dukes all right..but how did Sparrow come across it. Looks intently at Sparrow."Neconse Inteume. Do you know a man by the name of Feaitheric?"

Sparrow frowned as he carefully poured the liquid back into the container and put the items away. "I was checking to see if we were being followed anymore. We are...and no I don;t know a man by that name, who is he?"

Mira sighs in relieve. Well that means someone with the silver bell is near by but not close enough.

"No one you need to concern yourself with Sparrow...forgive my rash accusation."

He waved away the apology. "I understand."

"Get some sleep- both of you." Neneh said, "If there are indeen pursuers then we'll need to be well rested."

Sparrow nodded and layed down to rest.

Mira leans against a wall and drifts to sleep.

Neneh stood and moved just outside of the cave, leaning against it lightly and keeping an eye out for anything unusual.

Trissa stired in her sleep and looked up at her. Her eyes filled with tears.

Mira stirs and sits beside her. Offering some comfort.

Trissa hugged her sadly. "I....can't stay here.."

"Why? Don't you trust us?"

What can I do?

Tears roll down her face. "I do.....but if I stay..you will die."

Mira smiles at Trissa. "I don't die easily. I will be fine we both care about your safety you are a part of a grand design."

"G..grand design? What do you mean?" Trissa asked still looking scared.

"We three have a great role in how the world will turn out." Neneh said, "We are bonded together now and have a quest to complete." Neneh said from the mouth of the cave as her gaze continued to search for any signs of trouble.

"What About Sparrow? He is the only friend I had till you two came along.."

Mira looks at the man. "We will just have to wait and see."

I wonder what is in store for that man.

Trissa nodded slowly, and started to pet Tora.

Sparrow slowly stirred and sat up with a yawn.

Mira smiles at the man. "Did you sleep well?"

Might as well be friendly to a friend of Trissa's

He nodded and dusted himself off. "Yes. Thank you."

Mira nods and brushes her hair and put it up. "Trissa why don't you and sparrow eat the stew that I heated up."

Mira offers a sweet smile.

Trissa nods and sets down to eat. Sparrow does the same. "Are you going to eat?"

Mira smiles at the offer. "I already ate so don't worry about me."

Mira sits in a corner and closes her eyes in deep thought.

Sparrow stiffened after a moment. "I think we have company.."

It will be fine..trust me I have my mental abilities ready.Stand ready.

Mira clears her mind.

Neneh loosened her scythe in its sheath silently, waiting for the presence to make itself known.

Trissa stood up and walked over to them. "I don't think it is a threat..it feels like an animal's presence."

Mira opens her eyes. "I think you are right but lets be on our guard."

Trissa let out a small gasp as a wolf headed their way. "It's Tora's mate!"

"Um I hope that is a good thing."

Mira moves over and sits near Sparrow.

Trissa threw her arms around the walf and Tora trotted up to them and nuzzled the other wolf.
Sparrow watched tensely.

Mira notices and wonders about Sparrow's reaction. She moves away. Am I making him uncomfortable or is there something we don't know about.

"Well I guess that does mean it is a good thing." Mira walks to the far side of everyone and looks curiously at Sparrow.

Trissa nodded and smiled as she stroked both wolves affectionately.

Sparrow's hand slowly moved towards the dagger on his hip, his eyes locked on Tora's mate.

Mira looks alarmed at his motion. Tora...was your mate involved in something bad?

Tora turned and looked at Sparrow she snarled in anger.
Trissa looked at them both her eyes going wide. "W..what? Sparrow don't!"

Mira hears the bell again. She falls down on the floor.

Why is this happening?

"MIRA?! Are you all right?" Trissa asked in fear, she looked from the wolves to Sparrow, and Mira.

Sparrow hesiated and than turned to Mira, he moved over to check on her.

Mira puts hands over ears but nods at Trissa question. She opens his eyes and looks a little surprise as she sees Sparrow looking at her.
Why does he care?...he wants to attack the wolf who is Tora's mate.

Trissa walked over to her and laid a gentle hand on her shoulder. Tora and her mate left the cave as Sparrow crouched next to them both.

Mira shakes her head. "I'm ok now...Trissa." Mira looks at Sparrow for a few minuets and then turns away.

"Trissa...Sparrow is a friend of yours?"

Trissa looked from Sparrow to Mira. "Yes.."

Mira looks down and shakes her head. "I feel like I know Sparrow from somewhere but can't remember where."

Sparrow looked at her startlingly. "I don't think we have met."

Mira sighs at that. "I didn't mean formally introduced it's just I've seen you somewhere before."

"I don't think I recognize you.." He said.

Trissa looked at them in concern. "Umm..maybe I should go find Tora and Has."

Mira looks at Trissa. "No its ok I will leave. I need to train a little anyway." Turns to Sparrow and looks directly in his eyes. The Familiarity was there but it is only one sided. So she walks outside to excersies feeling stupid.

Well now I am crazy.

Trissa sat down feeling confused, Sparrow sat next to his supplies deep in thought.

"Mira, where are you going?" Neneh called to her friend as she exited the cave.

Mira does not go so far she just was excersisng. The fear of hearing the bell again coarses through her system. She feels guilty for making a hasty judgement but she is sure she has seen Sparrow somewhere before.

Maybe I should stop thinking so much. What does it matter anyway? He seems to want to protect Trissa but there is a hidden agenda.

Neneh sighed and stretched, "I'll be right back!" She called to the duo still in the cave, and just loud enough for Mira to hear her.

She needed to do a quick perimeter check, as well as to relieve her bladder. Silently she circled the cave in ever widening circles, and when she was satisfied she put together a few traps that would alert them should someone try and sneak up on them.

As she turned to head back towards the cave she felt her amulet pulse. Her gaze dulled as a sweet scent filtered into the area, and as her vision swam, Neneh saw a familiar, masculine form approaching her. The amulet's pulses grew more frantic and quick as he grew closer. "I see that you've somehow stumbled upon a fragment of the pendant." He said smoothly, "Hand it over."

"No!" Neneh shook her head to clear it, "I will never give this over to you!" She drew her scythe and held it out before her.

He laughed, "The last time you fought with me I was able to steal half of your life force- is it your intent to give me more?"

"I'll never give you anything else." Neneh said, her shadows rippling beneath her angrily.

"Don't over exert yourself, now." He warned with a laugh as Neneh charged at him.

She managed to cut through his barrier, just barely scraping through his shirt and into his chest. He frowned, touching the cut in surprise. Neneh leapt backwards as he thrust a flaming ball at her, she felt its impact against her scythe, and gave a small gasp as it grew hot in her hands, burning them though she refused to drop her weapon.

Neneh allowed her shadows to swirl up about her in a protective barrier of its own. She moved forward again, her eyes dulled. And with one swing of her scythe she carved a jagged wound across his stomach. He gasped, stumbling backwards as her barrier disappated. In a burst of anger he threw three more fireballs before vanishing.

Neneh's form pivoted backwards with the impact of each and she was left with three smouldering wounds when she fell- still semi-conscious. One was in her left shoulder, another in her right thigh, and the third in her chest. Her clothes had small fires spreading outward from the wounds.

Mira senses something is wrong and goes to Neneh's side with herbs at her disposal. "NENEH! Why did you face it alone."

Mira stays by her but she feels familiar eyes surveying her. She pushes the fear aside and work on Neneh's wound and pulls her to a shade.

"I-it wasn't that I.... wanted too..." Neneh strained to speak, "There was no choice..." She winced in pain and fatigue.

Mira smiles gently. "Shh rest now I will make sure you are safe." Mira helps her eat a little. "I don't know how we are suppose to treat Sparrow. Or Tora's mate for that matter."

Mira gently soothes Neneh.

"We've... we've got to keep a close eye on Sparrow." Neneh said slowly, "I've got a weird feeling about him..."

Mira nods in agreement at that. "Now rest no need to excert anymore energy."

Mira makes a place of shelter until someone comes and helps them.

"Rest..." Neneh muttered, "Is it really such a good idea out here?"

Mira lets out a slightly annoyed sigh. "Really Neneh do you honestly think it would do you any good to remain on guard. I will make sure we will be safe. At the moment we do not have much say in the matter."

I hope that didn't sound so harsh. Still my friend needs to rest.

"I caught him by surprise..." Neneh said quietly, her eyes closed.

Mira smiles at her friend and keeps a sharp watch.

I wonder how far we will get before trouble strikes.

"Yet... I was still no match for him. It's... it's lucky that he left before you got here or you could have gotten hurt too..." Neneh murmured, "I always worry that I'll lose somebody close to me... That... I won't be able to protect them like I want to."

Mira places a gentle touch on Neneh. "You are doing a fine job but sometimes you need to remeber that you can not do it all. Which is why I need trained so that all the weight does not weigh on your shoulders. I am not found of the princess that was cruel to you but I hope I can be of some use even with...the disease."

Mira falls silent after a while.

Neneh gave a wavery smile, "I do not feel that everything falls on me for defending my friends." She said, "I want to protect everyone, even if in the end it costs me my life."

Mira nods and gives a small smile.

"I wanted my people to led me into the right direction in leading. I wanted them to feel involved in our system. I wanted to stop the corruption. But I don't know if I will live to see that dream realized."

"You will live, I made a promise to keep you alive." Neneh said, opening her eyes slowly.

"Neneh there you go again placing more weight. A lot can happen on this journey we are on. Who is going to help you Neneh? Please don't take on such things."

Mira allows a few tear drops fall.

"I was raised to accept death on the battlefield." Neneh said slowly, "To sacrifice my life for those that I care about. Death is not something that I fear."

Mira nods at that. She feels such dread in her heart. "Neneh you deserve people to appricate you. It would not surprise me if something would happen along the way."

Trissa we all are connected...still death is no longer a hamper.

Neneh looked up at Mira, "People who appreciate me? They always end up suffering in the end..."

"That is something we all will have to live with Neneh. Still I appricate you all the same my dear friend."

Mira looks up to the stars.

Neneh smiled again, a little stronger this time, "I hope that nothing foul happens to you, Mira..."

Mira laughs softly at that.

"Neneh foul things have been happening to me since my 13 birthday but I never had a friend like you."

"I am glad to be your friend..." Neneh murmured.

Mira hears the dreaded bell and feels faint.

Neneh...

"What's wrong?" Neneh asked.

Mira gets her sight back but still can't really move.

"I heard the bells...that make me powerless.."

Neneh struggled to her feet, "Bells? Does that mean... that danger is near then?"

Mira shakes her head at that.

"No Neneh it's someone who is trying to get an idea how the bell effects me. It is still pretty far off."

"Oh..." Neneh nodded.

Trissa rushed out to them and sat down next to them. "What happened?" she asked in worry.

Sparrow followed at a destance.

Mira knows Sparrow is there in the distance but does not mention anything. "Neneh had a run in with the enemy but she got hurt so...I pulled her to safety and I heard the bell again that's all."

It's interesting the bells didn't ring until...I better not say anything till I know something.

trissa looked at Neneh in worry. "Will she be all right?"

sparrow watched them all but said nothing, his facial expression was unreadable.

Mira takes out some herbs and other items to dress her wound. "She will be but she seems really tired that's all." Her royal crest falls out of the bag.

So...I wonder if I can track the distance.

Trissa slowly picked up the crest and examined it.
Sparrow's eyes widened breafly but than resumed their empassive look.
Trissa handed it to Mirah. "what's this?"

Mira smiles sadly at that. "That is the royal crest of my country that I had to resort into hiding. I am Princess Mira." Mira allows a tear to fall but wipes it away.

"Are you all right Trissa and is Tora's mate trustworthy?"

Trissa nodded and placed a soothing hand on Mirah's shoulder. "I am sure you will be able to go back some day.."

Mira coughs violently and blood appears on the ground. "That's not why I am crying...I lost all of my family. There has been blood shed."

She clutches to the crest. "I wanted the people to have a voice but a duke is wanting to destory our line and silence the idea."

Trissa hesitantly hugged her and patted her back. "You're bleeding.."

Mira look at Trissa with sad eyes. "Before we meet you one of the soilders made me really sick and I don't know if there is a way for me to heal." Mira coughs again but takes a deep breath to gain control.

Mira feels Sparrow's slight confusion.

"What did he do?" Trissa asked.

Sparrow looked at Mirah as though seeing her for the first time.

Mira lets out a sigh. "He mixed contaminated blood through an open wound of mine." Mira shivers at the memory but manages to still smile.

"Trissa...thank you."

Trissa nodded. "What for? Is there a way to cure it?"

Mira lowers her head a little. "None that is known. For being supportive and not running away from Neneh and I."

"Your welcome..I am sure we will find a cure." Trissa said.

Sparrow watched and for a moment a look of anger passed across his face.

Mira feels a little confused about the change in action in Sparrow.

"We can hope but still this journey will take mysterious twists and turns."

Trissa nodded. "We should get Neneh back to the camp.."

Sparrow watched them both but his eyes were locked on Mirah.

Mira nods and gets up but hears a weapon near by. She grabs Trissa and pulls her to the ground and she hears the echo of laughter.

"Yes...it would seem we need to get to safety."

Finally her body gave into its exaustion, and Neneh slipped into darkness, her form changing immediately.

Mira sighs and hears the distant laughter. She stays near but is worried if she will find a way.

Please let us find a way.

Trissa picked Neneh up gently and headed towards the cave.

Sparrow followed without a word.

Mira walks behind them but her thoughts are swirling.

Something is going to happen. Once she catches up with the group she smiles. As she hopes all will be fine with Neneh.

Mira whispers, "Neneh do you feel someone following us?"

A small meow fled from her, I do... but... I'm too weak to sense who...

Mira keeps her eyes sharp but soon ends up passing out near the rocks.

Mira... what's wrong? Neneh called hazily.

I guess I have used up a lot of energy.

I'm sorry... She allowed her eyes to open slowly and slipped out of Trissa's arms. Stumbling, Neneh helped to lift Mira into the air, "Don't worry... I'll keep you safe..." She mumbled.

Mira tries to wake up but can't. Please Neneh don't strain yourself...I am not worth that much.

YES you are, please don't speak like that. Neneh murmured.

Trissa looked at them in worry. "Are you ok?

"Mira used too much energy... and passed out." Neneh murmured softly.

Trissa looked at Mira in worry. "What should we do..and wait..were is Sparrow?!"

Neneh looked around uncertainly, "Wasn't he here just a minute ago?"

"He was..but now he is gone." She replied in worry.

"We should fine him..." Neneh murmured, I'll go look if we can get you and Mira set somewhere safe... Something doesn't feel right..."

Trissa looked at her in worry. "I will wait here with Mira..please be careful.."

Neneh nodded and set the girl down, "Both of you be careful as well." Neneh responded, "there's a small nitch between those boulders over there, you should be able to slip inside without a problem. I'll be back as soon as I can." And she quickly hurried off to find Sparrow.

Trissa took Mira and hid her in the nitch, she than squezed into it herself and waited in worry.

After a long time of waiting she called the wolves to her and instructed them to guard Mirah. She than squeezed out of the cave and went in search of Neneh and Sparrow.

Meanwhile Sparrow stumbled into the woods clutching his chest. Not now damnit..I will not let you out Sparrow Wing! I will not let you hurt them! he thought furiously as his eyes began to change. ~Do you have a choice brother? I own you! I want the girl now!~
He closed his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth. "I won't let you.." He said aload.
~You don't have a choice, you made the deal when you were a child!I own your soul you serve me!~
"I..I..WON"T!" Sparrow yelled as he fought for control.

Sparrow's breath came in labored gasps as he struggled with his other side. Blood began to appear as his skin tore. NO! PLEASE NO!

"Sparrow!" Neneh's calling voice sounded from somewhere nearby, "Where've you run off to?"

Sparrow stumbled to his knees. NO! Leave them alone!
Without having any control he heard himself call out in a calm voice. "Over here." ~I will make you hurt if you refuse me!~

Neneh frowned in uncertainty, but followed his voice to where he stood nonetheless, "Why'd you leave?"

When she reached him, he was on his knees, his hair masked his face and he panted heavily. "G..go..I..am losing..control! GO!"

"What's going on with you?" Neneh froze when she caught sight of his appearance, "Are you okay, Sparrow?"

He shook with tension. "GO! HE IS WINNING! I DON'T WANT YOU GUYS HURT!"

Neneh frowned and shook her head, "I came to find you, and I won't let anyone get hurt." She said firmly.

His panting stopped and he straightened, his hair still shielded his face. "So noble of you." He said in a different voice as a black sword appeared in his hand.

Neneh drew her scythe slowly, "So who are you?" She questioned in an emotionless tone.

A crooked smile settled on his lips. "My name is Sparrow wing. I was sent to kill you." And with that he charged and attacked in a series of complex maneuvers.

"Who, pray tell, sent you?" Neneh questioned as she deftly dodged his attacks.

"You served her at one time." He replied as he doubled the attack.

"Reáper?" Neneh questioned as she swung her scythe up heavily to meet his attack.

He grinned evily as he fiegned an attack and struck her side. "perhaps..hmm they told me you were inteligent, I thought you would be able to make the connection."

"I've suspected it for a while." Neneh replied, catching him across the shoulder with her spearhead.

He grunted and stumbled back from the blow. "Luckily I wear armor." He said as flames erupted around them, licking at Neneh's chest.

Neneh leapt backwards quickly to escape the flames, "Armor won't stop me for very long." She commented, brushing at the smouldering front of her tunic and putting it out.

"Maybe this will than. Flama garisha!" A dragon made of flame reared up from behind him and struck at Neneha. "I will see you dead, as my mistress instructed!"

"You will see no such thing." Neneh stuck the spearhead of her scythe into the ground and brought her hands together quickly, roughly. She drew them apart and pointed at the flaming dragon as it approached her, "You will burn forever in a shadowy hell." She said, and the shadows beneath her rippled upwards, slamming into the dragon, wrapping thick tendrils about it and dragging it into the ground.

Sparrow Wing's lips parted in shock but he quickly overcame it.
He repeated the chant several times, and a circle of flaming dragons appeared around her.
"Flashia amnar vistida FLAMORA! He shouted and a corcle of flame erupted around her, the force slamming her into the ground.

Neneh fingered her piece of the pendant before clasping it in her grasp, "You want to play rough, I'll play rough." She said, a dark glow enveloping her form, I'm really going to regret this later on... She thought to herself, "I'll ensnare each of your damn dragons." She yawned but fought back the sleepiness that threatened to envelope her as shadowy tendrils began drawing in the flaming dragons one by one.

"Good, that's what I wanted." He said from behind her as he brought his flamming sword down striaght at her side.

Neneh cursed and immediately threw herself away from the blade, stumbling and falling she reached for the shaft of her scythe, which was just out of her reach, and scrambled to her feet to get it.

Sparrow Wing kicked it away from her and circled her with fire, the only way she could go was through the flames, or face him. He rushed her with a series of complex munuevers.

Neneh ducked his blows and kicked his feet out from under him, "What, gonna fight a defenseless girl? How low can you sink?" She glowered.

That seemed to strike a nerve he picked up her weapon and threw it at her. "There now you are no longer defenseless!" He said as he charged her and doubled his attack.

"Sparrow..STOP IT!" Trissa said as she stepped out of cover. Tears glistened in her eyes.
Sparrow Wing looked over at her and hesitated. "T..Trissa.."

Neneh stopped midcharge and looked over at her, "Trissa, what are you doing, where is Mira?"

"S..she is safe..the wolves are protecting her..Sparrow..why are you doing this?" Trissa asked looking into Sparrow's eyes, she flinched and looked fearful.
"Y..you aren't Sparrow..your Sparrow Wing!"

Sparrow Wing lowered his sword and looked at her. "So he told you of me." He whispered.

"Sparrow Wing?" Neneh raised an eyebrow, "So, I was right, you definately aren't the same Sparrow that I met."

"That's right he isn't, and at the same time he is." A man that looked just like Sparrow, except with less fey like feature, and silver hair said as he jumped down from a tree.

Sparrow Wing glared at himn and raised his sword. "I will KILL you Drake!"

The man smiled and drew twin scimitars from their sheilths. "You keep saying that my dear older brother."

Trissa gasped and backed away looking fearful.

"Older brother?" Neneh questioned, balancing herself on the shaft of her scythe curiously.

Trissa moved to stand behind her. "That's the guy who wants to marry me.." She whispered.

"Well this time I will succeed!" Sparrow Wing said as he rushed his brother.
His brother dogged and soon they began to skermish.

"I'm mildly confused." Neneh replied, "Sparrow Wing wants to marry you?"

"Both of them.." Trissa said as Drake drew blood from his brother, who doubled the attack.

"What are we going to do now?" Neneh questioned, "We can't very well leave them to battle like that..."

"I..I don't know..let me try to stop them.." Trissa glared at the boys and raised her voice. "STOP IT NOW! YOU'RE ACTING LIKE CHILDREN!" SHe yelled.
Both men hisitated and lowered their weapons.

Neneh chuckled softly, "Well, that's one way to end a fight," She commented.

Sparrow Wing glared at Drake. "Why are you here?"
"Is it illigal to check on my family, and my future brode? By the way, kill the charade I know you are Sparrow Wing, give my brother his control again or I will force you to."

Trissa looked at them in confusion. "Sparrow Wing?" She asked queitly.

"Sparrow Wing is the one that I was fighting..." Neneh said softly to Trissa.

"H..he looks like Sparrow.." She whispered.

"Fine..but only for Trissa. Next time we meet I will kill you." Sparrow Wing said as a glow formed around him, soon he fell to his knees panting.

Drake turned and gave Trissa and Neneh a low bow. "I will be going before my brother comes to his senses and attempts to kill me, he tends to be more skilled than his other form, and his hatred for me runs deep. Good day m'ladies..Trissa." And with that he turned and vanished into thin air.

"Umm... bye I guess..." Neneh muttered, turning back to Sparrow, "You okay?"

"W..what happened? How did I get out here?" He asked as he looked around in bewilderment. He glanced down at his shoulder and winced. so it was Sparrow Wing!

Trissa watched him wearily.

"Are you alright? Hope I didn't hurt you..." Neneh murmured.

"Yes..what happened? Why would you have hurt me..unless..did I act..strange?" He asked as Trissa stayed where she was.

"Sparrow Wing- another presence within your body I presume- was sent to kill me." Neneh replied with a small shrug.

"I have had control of him for over four years..why did I lose it? I am sorry..please forgive me." Sparrow said looing down.
Trissa walked over to him and gently cleaned his wound.

"There is no need for you to apologize." Neneh responded, sitting down where she stood tiredly.

"I should leave..I don't want to risk harm to any of you." He said as he began to walk away.

Trissa looked at him in shock. "Please..stay.."

He hesitated but continued on.

"Don't leave." Neneh called, "We don't mind your company... And if you do not wish to risk harm, than stay where we can always see you and would know if he takes over again..."

"What if I end up hurting you?" He asked as he turned around.

"You won't." Neneh promised, "I'm a soldier, more than capable of defending myself."

"I hope so.." He said as he looked to Trissa worredly.
"I will be fine..you wouldn't hurt me." She reasssured him with a smile. "We should get back to Mira."

"Yeah, I don't want her to be alone for more than she has too..." Neneh replied with a nod.

Trissa led the way and looked slightly releived that Sparrow was going to stay. He on the other hand, looked fearful.

"There she is!" Neneh released a sigh of relief as she caught sight of Mira still unconscious where Trissa and she had left her.

The wolves lopped over to Trissa and seemed to commune with her before they left. Trissa smiled in releaf. "Do you think we will be able to all fit in there, or should we find another place?"

"It might be large enough if we carve out some space..." Neneh replied, "Which wouldn't take too much effort I don't think..."

"Let's get to work than." Trissa said as she moved foreward. She suddnely winced and threw up. "W..why am I so sick all of a sudden?" She said alloud.

Sparrow hurried to her side and steaded her. "Perhaps you should rest.."

"I'll get everything squared away." Neneh said, touching her amulet. The small cave was cleared out, rocks and soil absorbed into the shadows, "T-there, get some rest now, okay?"

Trissa nodded and exhaunstedly headed into a corner. Sparrow gently made a makeshift bed for her and tucked her in. It was mere seconds before she fell asleep. Sparrow frowned looking closely at her.
"S..she is with child isn't she?" He asked quietly.

"With child?" Neneh frowned thoughtfully, "Maybe... We can't be too sure just yet though..."

"She..acts like she is..has she said anything to you?" He asked as he looked down, he seemed to be struggling with his emotions.

"No... she has said nothing about the matter." Neneh replied tiredly, sitting down against one of the walls.

Sparrow laid down as well. "I hope she isn't.." He said quietly.

"As do I..." Neneh murmured, "I don't feel that she can bear with the burden of a child yet..."

"I fear for her..that responsibility could break her..she is to innocent." Sparrow said as he drifted off to sleep.

"Yes... she is..." Neneh murmured softly, her head nodding in exhaustion though she kept herself awake to protect her companions from potential danger.

After awhile Sparrow woke up and moved over. "You get some rest, I will keep watch."

"Sleep... would be wonderful..." Neneh said in relief, allowing her eyes to close finally.

Sparrow took watch and hoped Reaper would not be able to regain her control on him again.

Neneh mewed softly in her sleep, curling up into a tight ball.

Sparrow smiled and looked out at the night sky Maybe Trissa and I bioth have found new friends.

Neneh awoke a short while later and rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she sat up.

"Now what?" Sparrow asked.

"We must wait for Trissa and Mira to awaken, and then we can continue on our way." Neneh responded.

"No. I mean..what are we doing, what's our goal?"

"Our goal is to piece together the pendant." Neneh held up the piece that was draped around her neck.

"Wait..are those all the same color..or are they different?" Sparrow asked, his eyes widening.

"No, their colors differ with the elements that they are based upon." Neneh replied.

Sparrow removed his shirt and turned around to show his back. "Is that one?" He asked. A red gem was embedded in his back.

Neneh frowned and touched it, "I think... I think it might be..." She murmured in surprise.

"Reaper..she did this, she embedded it in my skin."

"Why?" Neneh questioned, "Why would she do something like that?"

Sparrow looked down. "To make me into a weapon.."

"I'm sorry... there's nothing I can do about this until we find the other pieces." Neneh said.

Sparrow nodded and pulled his shirt back on. "She..said that I will die if it is removed.."

"You will not die unless we try and remove it before we have the other pieces." Neneh replied.

"What if..I die when we have all of the peaces, and mine is removed?" Sparrow asked looking at Trissa in worry. "Who will protect her?"

"You won't die, I promise... But if in the offchance something like that happens- I will take care of her." Neneh replied.

"I hold you to that.." Sparrow said looking at Trissa, who was still asleep. "Why is Reaper doing all of this?"

"I wish I knew..." Neneh sighed, "But answers are sometimes left unclear when we need them most..."

"So..what is her bussines with you? Why did she send Dark Sparrow after you?" He asked.

"She despises me." Neneh replied, "Because her father saw me as a daughter and not just a soldier."

"She should have been happy to have a sister.."

"She thought that he would make me his heir instead of her." Neneh replied, "She despised our relationship."

"Than she is even more the fool than I beleived her to be.." Sparrow said.

"She is a fool..." Neneh sighed and nodded.

"We have to beat her.."

"We have to beat the one who is manipulating her movements... I didn't see it before... but it's so clear now since her personality took such a drastic change..."

"She is being controled?" Sparrow asked looking confused.

"Not so much controlled as manipulated- she is being used by a powerful dark mage who seeks only to further his own goals... He will use her until she cannot help him anymore, and then he will dispose of her." Neneh responded, "Soulsnare, the very root of our problems."

"Soulsnare..does Reaper have a love? Occasionally I am able to maintain alittle control when Sparrow wing takes over...she ..acts attracted to him." Sparrow muttered.

"She may be..." Neneh nodded uncertainly, "I really don't know..."

"I wonder..I don't even recall when she first caputured me..I woke up one day infront of her and she laid orders on me to take some people out...no matter how hard I resisted...I couldn't win..I killed people.." He said sadly.

"What happened was not your fault in any way." Neneh said firmly, "You didn't ask to have the pendant embedded in your back or to be controlled by them... We'll get you through it- I promise to keep you from being subjected to being forced to murder again..."

"I hope so..I still feel the blood on my hands...two of the people..were my brothers.." He said sadly.

"I'm sorry..." Neneh murmured, "But we'll get things taken care of... the spilt blood of your brothers are not on your hands, but on the hands of Reaper and Soulsnare..."

"I still feel responsible.." He murmered as he looked to Trissa. "Trissa.. she stumbled into our village. She tried to steal food, she was more feral than human at the time. One of my brother's managed to catch her, and we tried to train her. Slowly but surely she became more human..except not all the villagers liked her bein there..you see..a pack of wolves constantly hovered near the town and they killed live stock. Trissa said they were her pack. Than stories circulated of a panther, twice the size of any normal one with deep blue eyes that was staying near the town..I only ever saw it once. Trissa said she can call it to her and that it was a member of her family.."

"A lot of people worry when something strange or unnatural enters into their lives..." Neneh responded, "I'm sure that Trissa will someday be able to warm the hearts of many..."

"She is so sweet and special..if only people could see that" He replied with a nod.

"Yes... she is... But she is also a fragile being that needs cared for and nurtured... She's almost like a child..." Neneh murmured.

"I know..I am starting to believe I don't deserve her..she is to innocent for the likes of me.." Sparrow muttered.

Drake watched from a tree branch conceled from view. She does deserve better than you murderer

"She is indeed quite innocent... and perhaps not ready for marriage." Neneh replied, "I think that what she needs is time... Time to realize her potential and to blossom..."

"I think you are right..she is only 16.." Sparrow replied.
Suddenly he stiffened and drew his sword looking towards the edge of the cave. "Show yourself!"

Drake sighed. "You want more blood monster? But than that is the name you recieved is it not? Blood Demon?"

Neneh stood up, "Why don't you leave? I'd rather there not be trouble here." She said calmly to Drake, placing herself between the two.

"Becouse I will not leave Trissa with this homicideal maniac." Drake replied watching Sparrow with contempt.

Sparrow growled in anger. "I will kill you Drake, do not think I won't!" He snapped.

"Both of you knock it off!" Neneh glowered, "Just go. Trissa is plenty safe enough with me."

Sparrow suddenly charged Drake and they both started to spar.
It appeared like Drake was toying with his brother, and Sparrow trully was out for blood.

"Gah..." Neneh said in frustration, lifting her scythe and making her way towards them, though she left it sheathed, "You two are acting like children... please just stop." She said, giving them both warning.

Sparrow's eyes changed color indicating he was changing to Dark Sparrow. Yes. Kill him now, be down with the insolant welp! Reaper said in his head. Sparrow doubled his attack and slashed his brother across the chest, his sword on fire.

Drake hissed in pain as he renewed his defense, blood falling on the fground from his wounds.

"Stop it, stop fighting!" Neneh raised her arms in exasperated worry, inadvertently flinging the two apart.

Mira glares at them an asks, "Just what is the reason for this foolishness?"

Drake coughed up blood at the impact. Sparrow snarled like a beast and attacked him while he was down.

Drake just barely avoided being impaled. "He...killed our brothers.." Drake managed as he rolled away. His wounds seemed to be getting the best of him for his movements were slowing.

Mira looses her temper. "ENOUGH!" She ties them both with mental binds on opposite sides of the room. "BOTH OF YOU NEED TO STOP THIS FOOLISH FIGHTING IT WILL GET EITHER OF YOU A ONE WAY TICKET TO TWO DIFFERENT ROADS! WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO!" She breathes and looks appolgeticlly to Neneh and her friends.

Trissa woke at the sounds and slowly wiped the sleep from her eyes. "What's going on?"

Sparrow growled thrashing against the bindings.

Drake coughed up more blood and slowly toppled over.

"I've got to tend his injuries." Neneh said firmly, grabbing one of her bags and moving quickly to Drake's side.

Trissa's eyes widened in horror. "D..Drake? Sparrow? What happened?!"

Sparrow conitued to thrash against the bindings.

Drake was unconcious and bleeding badly, it appeared as though Sparrow's weapon dealt more damage than it appeared capable of dealing.

"Oh, this doesn't look good..." Neneh groaned, quickly pulling away Drake's shirt and cleaning the wounds, pressing an old shirt firmly over them to slow the bleeding.

Drake coughed up more blood.

Trissa hurried over looking more pale. "Drake..She quickly pulled on a vile from under her shirt and handed it to Neneh. "T..this should heal him..it's spirit water.."

Neneh nodded, "What do you do with it though- make him drink or pour it directly on the wounds?" She questioned quickly.

"Pour it on the wouds..if he drinks it he will die.." She whispered.

"Okay." Neneh nodded and slowly poured the contents of the vial over Drake's wounds.

His wounds slowly started to mend. His breathing steaded and became regulur.

Trissa looked releived as she headed towards Sparrow. "Sparrow..please..don't be like this..it scares me.."

Neneh stood slowly, standing over Drake.

Sparrow steaded and looked straight into her eyes, his eyes pools of darness. "I don't give a damn about you! I will kill you and all your friends!" He growled.

Trissa reeled back as though struck. Tears trickled down her face as she turned and ran from the cave.

"Get control of yourself Sparrow!" Neneh approached, wrapping an arm about Trissa's shoulders, "It is not he that speaks..." She murmured softly to the girl.

Trissa threw her arms off and ran deeper into the forest, seemingly unable to hear her. she soon dissapeared from sight.

"... Mira, keep those two bound, I'm gonna go after Trissa!" Neneh shouted, running in the direction that Trissa had taken in worry.

Hears what sounds like Trissa scream, and than a howl from a wolf as though inraged.

Neneh quickened her pace and finally caught sight of Trissa, her scythe drawn expecting trouble.

A large group of men surrounded Trissa and a pack of wolves. Two men held her by the arms, all were in Reaper's guard uniforms.

"Release her!" Neneh roared, racing towards them, "You let Trissa go right now!"

"She is a criminal and this is none of your concern." One of the men said as his blade sank into the flesh of one of the wolves.

Trissa struggled to maintain conciousness blood trickled down the left side of her face.

"Dammit!" Neneh lunged forward, cracking them with the blunt side of her scythe and grabbing Trissa, "Get behind me... quick!" She murmured, panting slightly.

Mira keeps focus and can't help but wonder what is going on.

Trissa stumbled and fell to th ground.

Several of the wolves dashed foreword and attacked the men.

"You will leave, or risk being torn to bits by these wolves." Neneh said coldly to the men.

"We have orders to bring the witch to our princess." One of the men protested.

Mira keeps a hold.

"A witch what kind? Who is she?"

"Are you prepared to lose your lives?" Neneh questioned, "Go, you will not be getting Trissa this night, or any hereafter."

"Than we have no choice but to fight you and her hell pack for them, sieze her!" He ordered as the men rushed foreword and attacked.

Mira uses her whips to cut down a small percentenge.Neneh you got a plan?

One of the men darted foreword and grabbed Trissa only to have a wolf jump on him and tear at his throat.

Yeah... Take Trissa, run and hide, I'll hold them off, just tell me when you've got her hidden well! Neneh responded in worry.

Mira created many illusions and gets Trissa and runs with her. Will you be all right?

Trissa didn't respond, she seemed to be in a daze.

Mira keeps her close and makes sure she hides her well. She treats her like a child and comforts her.

She seemed to be suffering froma concosion and she seemed to be in shock.

Mira just does the best she can.

Suddenly she began to sob and she burried her face in Mira's shoulder.

Mira comforts her and hums a luliaby

"W..why..did..he act that way?.."She sobbed.

Neneh fought off the men that had attacked Trissa viciously, "You had no right to attack her!"

2007-10-17 [loonygirl2005]: does that help

2007-10-17 [Ravendust]: yeah, XP, I was sad that the RP seemed to die... e.e

2007-10-17 [loonygirl2005]: yeah no kidding.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: "Who, pray tell, sent you?" Neneh questioned as she deftly dodged his attacks.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: "Reáper?" Neneh questioned as she swung her scythe up heavily to meet his attack.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: "I've suspected it for a while." Neneh replied, catching him across the shoulder with her spearhead

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: (I am so sorry for just leaving last night, but this computer was running incredibly slowly and I just couldn't deal with that...)

Neneh leapt backwards quickly to escape the flames, "Armor won't stop me for very long." She commented, brushing at the smouldering front of her tunic and putting it out.

2007-10-18 [Silver Moon]: that's ok

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: "You will see no such thing." Neneh stuck the spearhead of her scythe into the ground and brought her hands together quickly, roughly. She drew them apart and pointed at the flaming dragon as it approached her, "You will burn forever in a shadowy hell." She said, and the shadows beneath her rippled upwards, slamming into the dragon, wrapping thick tendrils about it and dragging it into the ground.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: Neneh fingered her piece of the pendant before clasping it in her grasp, "You want to play rough, I'll play rough." She said, a dark glow enveloping her form, I'm really going to regret this later on... She thought to herself, "I'll ensnare each of your damn dragons." She yawned but fought back the sleepiness that threatened to envelope her as shadowy tendrils began drawing in the flaming dragons one by one.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: Neneh cursed and immediately threw herself away from the blade, stumbling and falling she reached for the shaft of her scythe, which was just out of her reach, and scrambled to her feet to get it.

2007-10-18 [Silver Moon]: this is fun.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: haha, yeah :P

Neneh ducked his blows and kicked his feet out from under him, "What, gonna fight a defenseless girl? How low can you sink?" She glowered.

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: Neneh stopped midcharge and looked over at her, "Trissa, what are you doing, where is Mira?"

2007-10-18 [Ravendust]: "Sparrow Wing?" Neneh raised an eyebrow, "So, I was right, you definately aren't the same Sparrow that I met."

2007-10-19 [Ravendust]: "Older brother?" Neneh questioned, balancing herself on the shaft of her scythe curiously.

2007-10-31 [Silver Moon]: ummm you are controlling Reaper right? So you get to control when she tries to control Sparrow

2007-11-01 [Ravendust]: I am partially controlling her- but honestly, if you want, you can control her as well^^;;

2007-11-01 [Silver Moon]: ok thnx
