Ean
Username: [
Artsy]
Name: Ean
Gender: Male
Age: ~15 years old
Race: Bennu (pronounced ben-nu-oh) - a breed of phoenix... sort of
Occupation: Pet
Skills: His feathers can heal and add time onto a person's life if boiled into a tea. His tears can grant insight if drank (more like "spidey sense" as in brief flashes of clarity-up to a year into the future- not really visions as faes have) but he himself can see much further, the knowledge already in his head since conception. He has an over-all vision of the future, nothing nearly as specific as Fox could have, and an overall understanding of the past. If he really concentrated, he might be able to focus in on something but it would be hazy and flicker by too fast to tell anyone anything important, so he usually doesn't bother, except for his master. And of course, he can turn into a heron at will that is sometimes aflame with white fire.
Weapons/Possessions: He has a few electronics that still work from gadgets he's rigged with batteries (no world wide connectivity or anything, but he takes notes on them a lot and pictures). He has no real weapons to speak of unless you count his white hot flames, but that's more of a side effect of his breed than any actual attack.
Appearance: Has a pure whiteness about him and often wears the right size clothes that seem to drape on him as if he should be naked and just doesn't acknowledge he's wearing anything. He has a plain black leather cord around his neck with a kind of large, clear glass marble on the end set in a sterling silver wiring to hold it, like his own little crystal ball for fortune telling.
Personality: Surprisingly calm for his age but that comes from so many eons of information packed into his head. He is not very expressive, but he is warm and kind. Hard not to like.
History: Unlike phoenixes, Bennus are not reincarnated, so he has not actually lived as many lifetimes as he knows. He was born into a volery of others and raised there. His species is actually mistaken for 'the wise man on the mountain' as that is where they nest. He met Rafe when the siren made a brief pilgrimage to his nesting grounds on a journey to try to find peace. When Rafe went to leave, Ean had a deep feeling he was supposed to go with him and, gaining the blessing of the others, he took flight with the red haired man and now stays by his side as a kind of pet which he is quite content to do, waiting to see what he already knows to be coming.
Other: Rafe does not let Ean go on missions as he does others, not that Ean particularly wants to anyway, but not even safe ones. Ean is Rafe's companion creature and the siren is very protective and possessive of him. He only lets Ean go as nothing but a messenger, he is not to be involved in any fighting whatsoever. (Which is good, as Ean's race is not built for fighting.)
