EOD X-MEN MISSIONS

The screens in the X-men War room flicker every morning are the systems go online and they uplink to the Mutant Affairs Office in Washington, downloading data on different tasks the offices, the company and the government at large wish the X-men to undertake. There is a manner of tacit agreement between the government and the X-men that these missions are to be handled with discretion and effectiveness. Lack of compliance with them might bring the ire of the X-men's current sponsors, but the group lacks the operatives to undertake all of them. The company requires that missions are undertaken by groups of 3 whenever this is possible.

MLA Intel

From - Mutant Affairs Office
Ever since the Plank was abandoned (something which our office was vehemently against), the influence of the MLA has grown across what used to be New York city and now it threatens to bleed onto the other side of the bridge. Extremists elements have appeared on the other side and, if they decide to move north and try to escape the quarantine area, the Government must be ready to respond. We need intelligence on their leaders, numbers and combat readiness provided as soon as possible. In exchange for this, the funding for the X-men might be increased. A bonus is available is the mission if undertaken without the extremists being alerted.

Refugees

From - The Company
A group of so called "human" refugees have somehow made it over the Plank, and are heading towards Salem to request exit from the Quarantine area. No one leaves the quarantine area. It is entirely possible that these humans are carriers of the dangerous X gene and might represent a danger to themselves or others outside of quarantine. There is also information about full fedged mutants hiding among the refugees. This group needs to be intercepted and made to disperse, successfully doing so will mean the X-men get clearance to use one of our APCs for the rest of the week. A bonus will be available if any mutants hiding among the refugees are captured and brought in.
This mission will expire in 2 days.

Energy Crisis

From - Salem
Salem needs more power, the increased number of Company men rotating through the city means a new generator needs to be transported from the Quarantine Wall to the town. Raiders and mutant extremists will probably attempt to steal this valuable piece of technology and it needs an escort. The people of Salem need this generator to run hospitals for wounded soldiers and survive in the wasteland. We'll be more than happy to provide some supplies such as water, meat and fresh fruit so you don't have to keep eating military grade rations. A bonus could be offered if the generator arrives entirely unscathed.
This mission will expire in 3 days.

The Hunt

From - Armano Glint
This is a piece of paper ripped off a newspaper article that Armano Glint handed Lire;

--- of Michael Amata, otherwise known as Shriek, member of the infamous mutant terrorist group known as the New Brotherhood. Amata and his two brothers make up the cell known as The Freaks, Reports indicate Amata was spotted on the north end of the bridge the locals in the quarantine area call The Plank as early as two days ago, and authorities have been quick to post a reward for him, dead or alive. "We cannot allow these terr--.

The name Michael Amata and the word dead have been circled, a small note on the bottom reads, 'Make the kill yourself, little snake'.

2012-12-05 [Lepellier]: I am all for going and getting better food!

2012-12-05 [Roma]: They need a vehicle too

2012-12-05 [Lepellier]: So, we break up the refugees, and use the APC to transport the generator! Genius!

2012-12-05 [Duredhel]: Erhm :/ missions happen at the same time.

2012-12-05 [Duredhel]: Unless you do them on different days :>

2012-12-05 [Roma]: But they need intel too... I will mull this over and am open to input but am definitely voting for the mission that will give them a vehicle.

2012-12-05 [Lepellier]: It is a vehicle only for a week, though. If we started out by doing the refugee mission today, I feel like it would be easier to get the generator back unscathed as well. (again, just my input.)

2012-12-05 [Roma]: Ok so the intel mission does not expire but would take the most finesse, at least in my thinking.

2012-12-05 [Roma]: Dude, the whole game only lasts two days anyway. I guess I need to know if the days will be consecutive, otherwise the week will take care of anything team A needs.

2012-12-05 [Lirerial]: How do you pick which mission is done? I think Lire would be best suited for the Refugee one.

2012-12-05 [Roma]: The Past and I decide which ones and how the teams are divided

2012-12-06 [Lirerial]: ahhh ok :)

2012-12-09 [Roma]: But we are all a team. We should talk about this.

What do we know: they have no supplies, they have no vehicle, any mission they go on comes with risk of death. I think they need to improve their funding (mission 1), and a vehicle.

2012-12-09 [ZeoOfFire]: My input is:
Grab the refugees, get a car, grab generator.
But yeah, Cath's kinda good at recon, so yeah.
Just my thoughts.

2012-12-09 [Roma]: The energy crisis gives them better food and offers supplies - Mission 3
Increased funding means they can just buy supplies - Mission 1
A vehicle will act either as a death trap or a godsend, probably both.

And we won't know if Cat is good at recon until you play her that way, so speculation on missions that would be good for your character is secondary to me.

PROS
1: get money, get MLA intel to help use against them in the final battle, no expiration
2: get vehicle for rest of game/as long as it lasts,
3: help the town, demonstrate that mutants are not all like MLA, supplies from town instead of military rations

CONS
1: working for the government agency that is charged with identifying mutants, very dangerous, must not be caught, furthest away
2: might have to kill innocent people as well as detain any mutants with them
3: the energy crisis does not affect the mansion, humans hate mutants until they need help, they don't NEED food. They need supplies

2012-12-10 [Roma]: ...guys... *I* am not Vlad. Vlad is in charge but I am just a player, like the rest of you.

And we are severely behind. Let's get a dialogue running or else I am going to make a decision and will accept no criticism!

AND POST FFS? :3

2012-12-10 [Lepellier]: I had the last posts. But yeah, I'm kind of up in the air. Personally, I like the idea of running the mission 2-3 idea, for simplicity sake, but at the same time, I feel like the increased funding may be more beneficial than trying to just get the better food.

2012-12-10 [Roma]: Food is one thing, but lets not forget that they already HAVE food. They need armor and weapons and ammunition, etc, which you can get with money.

I am putting in my call for missions 1 (money and it seems like LOTS OF FUN) and 2, which would lead to being able to do mission 3 (assuming it goes well).

2012-12-10 [ZeoOfFire]: and 1 would also makes us less likely to be surprised in 2 or 3 by sudden arrivals as well.

2012-12-10 [Lepellier]: Sounds solid to me.

2012-12-24 [XxTsomexX]: Hrrrrmmm... which one would Ende be good for....
