Description
Kelpies are an odd form of Equin spawn of the Hippocampus branch in Equin evolution. Their heightened brain capacity from their aquatic cousins and removal of most of their hair has given them the most unique appearance. Streamlined and smooth bodies ending in a long, blunted, snake-like tail that is used for very specialized purposes.
These Equins are oddly found only on the haunted island of Lith. Even then they will only remain around water, whether fresh or salty. Some speculate this is because of their aquatic ancestry, but others say it has to do with cooling down after a blue flame teleportation.
These blue ponies have unique transportation abilities, that allow them to disappear and reform in blue flames miles away. To add to the second theory of why Kelpies remain around water is because they always seem to de-teleport within the cool waters, where some witnesses say that they often sizzle with steam. It is for this very reason that these creatures are very difficult to capture, and nearly impossible to keep penned up.
