2008-11-06 [Hedda]: I still don't have a single clue for any present.

2008-11-06 [Skydancer]: Errrmmmm. An original work by one of our fine Elftown Artists?
A framed, signed portrait of Lilo?
A print from one of our delightful Elftown folk on DA?
A copy of one of the published works by one of our Elftown Authors?

2008-11-06 [Hedda]: Hm, maybe a painting for my parents. (Don't read this, mum!)

I'm quite short on money though.

2008-11-06 [Skydancer]: Here is an idea. Got something lying around that might be nice for present for someone? Short of cash to buy presents? Toss your item in the Elftown Christmas Swap. Once you do, look over the items offered and let it be known what you might be interested in yourself. Then sort it all out so that eventually folks get something they want or can use for presents and you get rid of stuff you have but just don't need. Even if its, I have A, and you have D, but you want C, and I want D and E, so this person will give their E to me, but they want F rather than my A, so it gets complicated but sorts itself out in the end like any fun bit of chaotic shopping. :D Now is that throughly confusing? :)

2008-11-08 [Artsieladie]: I like your idea and I enjoyed your explanation, [Skydancer]. We do this around here in my neck of the woods. Actually, it does work out quite well for the most part. Hmm... I have such a painting that I painted in oils of Lilo. I've been offered $2800.00 for it, but money just isn't everything I guess. :)
