2009-05-27 [Cillamoon]: LOL well I'm just hoping that the colors show up right. Reason being is that I showed my mom these on myspace last night (btw Marion, I got your request on myspace ^_^!!!) and she thought the colors were all gold, funny thing is only the arms and hands are gold, they eyes are pink! I've got silver, gold, blue and pink and am hoping that they even show the difference.....

2009-05-27 [Skydancer]: indirect light to get the color, when there is a lot of flash the refection over washes the color, your going to need natural light or some of those bulbs that are full spectrum to get the color to come out I think.

2009-05-29 [jacen81]: So funny story... One of my friends, he is a 27 year old guy. Very masculine, but also very cave-mannish kind of person.

Anyways, so his parents adopted an 11 yr old girl. So long story short, she had been working with glitter and he was over at his parents house and he took a shower.

He used the towel to dry off and then had left that day and got to work not realizing that he was covered in glitter.

His towel that he used had also been used by his sister in her "glitter project".

I tell you, few things in my life have been as funny as seeing a grown man covered in glitter. It was awesome.

It was definitely not as aesthetically appealing as this though.

2009-05-29 [jacen81]: by the way, the lower pictures work better with the yellowish light giving more of a sepia town, it brings out the gold more and contrasts less.

2009-05-29 [Cillamoon]: Your story is hilarious! I did use a really big towl as a drop cloth during most of these pictures, as we have (as you can see) a hard wood floor and I was deathly afraid of getting glitter anywhere to make a mess other than on my body (lol). So that was useful. I also used warm water to wash the glitter off of my arms, neck and chest, which was great with no further mess (except in the sink but that was easily dealt with). And I used a warm wet washcloth to get the glitter off of my face, which came off a lot easier than I had expected. However now I have glitter in my hair, which was what I was most worried about and thought I had avoided it my having my hair up....but it didn't work. Now I have glitter in my hairline and everyone at work is giving me this crazy look (which I find quite funny).
