Inath Energy Paths
The basis of the Divine Spark:
Void, Veil, Umbra, & Permea
Energy Paths:
-
Veil = (Ethereal folds, positive energy, Law)
-
Umbra = (Astral strands, neutral/air-li
ke static energy, Thought/dreams)
-Permea = (Permeatic Umbra - Reintegrated Elemental substances, neutral/earth-like morphic energy, Matter/crystallization)
-Void = (Shadow spheres, negative energy, Chaos)
What is an Energy Path?
- An Energy Path is the substance of the universe which composes the energy behind a Divine Spark, the Universal Soul that binds the persona of an individual to its physical incarnation, the body (also called a Temple Incarnum).
- An Energy Path is one of four types, coinciding with a Transitive Plane, as well as a new energy from a previously unknown plane, the Permeatic Umbra, or Permea. The three other types include Void (Shadow), Veil (Ethers), and Umbra (Astral). The only non-Path options are Mixed (2 or more competing energies), and No Sparks. These only occur in certain circumstances, often rare. Those with no Divine Spark Energy Path are inherently mortal with a Destiny that prevents them from achieving immortality (only Non-Player Characters ever are without a Divine Spark). Those with Mixed Divine Spark Paths only have this trait until they achieve an authority over their Path, or Destiny. They achieve a singular Path by the Nekochma Tier of the first Caste, or else they cannot ascend further up the ladder.
- Energy Paths lead mortals down particular venues of learning about Inath methods, known as Path Destiny, or Talent Path. Choosing an Energy Path is only concrete after the individual chooses, and does not allow changing beyond the Nekochma Tier. Once an individual ascends to Byrnah Tier, there is no turning back.
