Jaded Birthright

[Yuriona]:I had a really cool dream this morning about two brothers trying to get an enchanted emerald that would give them the power to save their world. One brother was righteous while the other meant well, he was just too caught up in the 'its my right' thing. I wish I could have recorded it. The ruins the emerald was in was sooo cool.

I still see it so clearly at the moment. The one brother had short, tousled brown hair and grey eyes while the other had longish blond hair and blue eyes. The blond was wearing blue armor/leathers and the brunette...brown or a burnished gold I think. The temple was white marble with gold accents with the main avenue being filled with blue, blue water. And it was warm and bright, filled with sunlight. All of the imagery from the dream was very bright, vivid and colourful... I could even feel the wind blowing (since I alternately saw the story from behind the eyes of both brothers as it went on.)

They were both Princes too and it was like getting the emerald would cinch their claim to the throne - its hard to explain. I had a strong inclination that their mother the Queen had set them to this task but I have the feeling she was really only biological mother to one of them. The blond was after the emerald for his people though while the dark one was after his birthright. I had the feeling too that there was something up with their father - possibly he died some time ago, their mother reigned in his place until the boys came of age but then a threat to the kingdom came along.

I remember the dark one got to the 'key' first (something one had to injest strangely enough - there were green bubbles around his face then the dreamed zoomed in on his right eye), something one had to have before claiming the emerald and seeing the elation on his face and feeling the disappointment of the blond as I was watching through his eyes. Not disappointment that he hadn't 'won' but more like a dread, as if he knew his brother couldn't lay claim to the emerald if he tried but that he, the blond, couldn't stop him from trying anyways.
