Cash Wicker

Speech Patterns: Very informal and flirty outside of work and serious discussions about relationships (with a tendency to drop entire words at the beginning of a sentence such as "did" and "you"). Frequent usage of "Eh". Says "yes, yes" in a dismissive manner (a Wicker family trait). Less flirty when caught off-guard.

Body Language/Tics: Prone to humming in thought or scratching his arm when something bothers him. Always very noticeable when he blushes.

Alcohol Preferences/Opinion on Use: Mostly beer, but he figures if Nathan's using it, it must be delicious. Stress-drinker, but only gets actually drunk when completely alone.

Dietary Restrictions/Preferences: Free food. Takes his coffee with cream, but no sugar.

Favorite Movie/Show/Book/Genre: Loves the chaotic drama of competition shows. Aside from a love triangle in an early season, completely lost interest in Face Off very quickly.

Weather/Climate/Environmental Preferences: Cool, but not cold. Doesn't mind a drizzle so long as he doesn't get soaked (and doesn't have any important papers out where they can get wet).

Attitude Towards Strangers/Children/Animals: Polite towards strangers. Bratty Uncle/Brother figure towards kids. Not a huge fan of anything that doesn't use the toilet for it's designed purpose.

Additional Quirks: Prone to ripping clothes in amorous situations. Ticklish under the chin. Steals food from Nathan's house whenever convenient. Gossips. Not patient enough to wait for Dorian to show up for coffee. Often gets kissed by misinformed, overeager female clients at the end of a successful case. Knows some baking trivia from overhearing Nathan and his mom swap recipes and tips. Drives a Dodge Hellcat. Drools in his sleep.

Hroda Neander

Speech Patterns: Extravagant and melodramatic with a tendency to ramble and flatter. When speaking frankly and sincerely, he is prone to over-explaining out of nerves. Loves parallels, repetition and alliteration.

Body Language/Tics: Dramatic gesturing to go with his rantings. Nervous and slightly desperate when ignored or after offending someone.

Alcohol Preferences/Opinion on Use: Underage and not interested. Has an undiscovered naturally high alcohol tolerance.

Dietary Restrictions/Preferences: Not a fan of pastas, breads, crackers, chips, rice, potatoes, beans, cereal, etc (mixed feelings about corn, but can't stand popcorn). It's not that he won't eat grain products (or potatoes and beans) at all, he just doesn't like how they tend to be proportionately dominate over other ingredients, so he won't eat anything on a bread that is thick enough to put in a toaster (or thicker). Eats tortilla sandwiches fairly often because they are affordable and easy to make/take to school. Loves gummy candy and spicy food and really wants to try those foods where a leaf of some kind is used to hold other ingredients as though the leaf is a chip/wrap. Hasn't tried tofu but would probably hate it.
(At one point his mom tried to sober up and went on a health kick, resulting in a bag of spinach rotting in the fridge. He managed to pick some unwilted pieces out and made a cream cheese, spinach and salsa tortilla sandwich. It was delicious.)

Favorite Movie/Show/Book/Genre: Pretty much anything that isn't unpleasant news, but he prefers to interact with people.

Weather/Climate/Environmental Preferences: Nice enough to spend time at the beach, even if too cold to swim.

Attitude Towards Strangers/Children/Animals: Loves an audience. Not very good at saying "no" or establishing boundaries, though.

Never Grew Out of: trying to distract himself and others from how dull or difficult real life can be.

Never Bothered to: talk about his mom's problems with anyone (including her).

Attracted to:

Enjoys: interacting with people during working hours and telling his mother over-dramatized, barely-true stories about his day when she gets home.

Despises: betrayal; cruelty; insults; underhandedness; being criticized (although he's not very aware of how huffy he gets about it...).

Fears: being ignored for long periods of time (more of a "dread" then a "fear", really). He bounces back quickly if the experience is short enough.

Sense of Humor: Almost anything is funny until someone gets hurt.

Emotionally Significant Relationships: Mother and Jace Carter. Mrs. Keefe is practically his sitcom nemesis.

Additional Quirks: Spends a lot of the daytime out of the house after school because there's only one spare key and his mother keeps forgetting her own key at work and taking the spare (or vice-versa, either way there's almost always one key at work and one key in her possession), so he usually can't get in until his mother gets home from work. A legendary disruption in every class. Always a bit late to the first class of the day, although purposely dramatic since he tends to arrive right before roll call.

Nathan Kerr

Speech Patterns: Very formal with anyone outside the Wicker family (aside from Risk) with a tendency to refer to his clients by their last names. Asks a lot of prying questions when panicking. Says "yes, yes" in a dismissive manner (picked up from the Wicker family). Often overly-blunt to the point of being rude, despite his formal tone. Will say "listen to the words coming out of my mouth" when trying to keep an argument from going too far. His formal greeting on the phone is "Nathan Kerr speaking". Voice breaks and stutters when he blames himself for something that happened to a client, friend or family member.

Body Language/Tics: Nostrils noticeably flare when he takes deep breaths to calm himself. Readjusts glasses reflexively when he's about to try to be intimidating or authoritative (rubs the bridge of his nose when the glasses are absent). Rocks on his feet when thinking deeply about something. Sighs when he is thinking about something that worries him but he is resigned to, or backing off of a topic to avoid being too controlling or rude.

Alcohol Preferences/Opinion on Use: Never drinks on an empty stomach, but uses alcohol in cooking/baking/food prep.

Dietary Restrictions/Preferences: Allergic to blueberries. Will eat pretty much anything else, though.

Favorite Movie/Show/Book/Genre:

Weather/Climate/Environmental Preferences: Loves dry, temperate weather. And sunshine in the summer. And fireplaces in the winter. And rain in the spring. And every family holiday.

Attitude Towards Strangers/Children/Animals: Can be suspicious and wary towards strangers if he thinks they may be a threat to his clients/friends/family. Otherwise, he's rather formal. Warm with children and animals. Would totally spoil his own if he had any.

Attitude Towards Self: Surprisingly low, actually... he holds himself in a confident posture to be an intimidating figure for his clients' sake more than anything.

Self-Aware Enough to Know:

Never Grew Out of: instigating fights against those he feels deserves it.

Never Bothered to: change his locks after Cash started breaking into his apartment (about a week after he moved into it). Keeps threatening to, though.

Attracted to:

Enjoys: seeing his clients, friends and family safe, healthy and happy. And baking.

Despises: when he succumbs to the temptation of punching someone that has aggravated him or snaps at someone he's doing business with. It makes him feel like he has no self-control.

Fears: for his clients, friends and family. He's a worrier at heart.

Sense of Humor:

Emotionally Significant Relationships: The Wicker parents (who he practically considers his own parents and vice-versa); The Wicker siblings (especially the youngest brother, who has been his best friend since high school); Risk DeLorme (a business associate who has become a close enough friend to refer to informally); Overly-invested in his past, present and future clients (so a good chunk of the town is technically on this list).

Additional Quirks: Listens to a lot of Frank Sinatra... Calls Mrs. Wicker "Ruthie" (they're recipe-buddies). Has "Ruthie" on speed-dial. Has the contact information of every Wicker sibling (including the oldest sister's email). Doesn't have a glasses carrier and just hangs them off the front of his shirt if he has to take them off in public. Will not call Sabastion Panas "Dr. Panas" until he is certain that his relationship with Emily Cornary is a healthy one. Drives a dark gray Prius. Snores (mostly lightly, but every once in a while he'll snore loud enough to wake himself up).

Tilly Gelson

Speech Patterns: Minimal. Blunt. Has a drawling, monotonous voice unless conveying a deeper emotion.

Body Language/Tics: Reflexively combs her fingers through her hair to make sure it covers her face when in public. Ties her hair back when working. Very tense around people she's not used to when they try to interact with her. Her gaze usually comes in two flavors: intense and disinterested. Smooth, graceful movements and careful observation.

Alcohol Preferences/Opinion on Use: Bourbon. Sometimes beer, but she's picky about it.

Dietary Restrictions/Preferences: Avoids caffeine. Eats healthy and unhealthy foods alike. Loves green onions.

Favorite Movie/Show/Book/Genre: Doesn't like sitting idle for too long. Which is not to say that she doesn't read books or watch movies, but they are frequently abandoned midway to pursue a project that a certain scene, character or prop inspires.

Weather/Climate/Environmental Preferences: Whatever doesn't interfere with her current projects. On a personal level, while she's not a huge fan of sunlight, she definitely prefers heat over cold.

Attitude Towards Strangers/Children/Animals: Disinterested in anyone who demands attention, regardless of species. Awkward with kids.

Attitude Towards Self: Considers herself to be more of a "practical person" than an "artist", despite her many hobbies.

Self-Aware Enough to Know:

Never Grew Out of: being distrustful towards others (most notably in matters of safety or quality).

Never Bothered to: ask herself if she is angrier about Cash disregarding health and safety procedures or the fact that he only got a hideable scar on his arm despite being the idiot that caused the accident.

Attracted to: emotional independence; professional integrity; attention to detail.

Enjoys: constructive criticism. She believes that there is always room for improvement and finds it more genuine than praise.

Despises: when a usable object clearly designed with a distinct purpose in mind is put up for decorative purposes without ever being used (antiques get a pass on the stipulation that they've been used at least once in their history); when health and safety procedures are blatantly ignored; crowds.

Fears: being treated like a pet, ornament or exhibit.

Sense of Humor: Dry, in practice.

Emotionally Significant Relationships: Mother (annoying); Father (distant); Jace Carter (friend and crush); Dorian Kasen (friend and neighbor).

Additional Quirks: Cooks but doesn't bake due to the amount of time spent waiting. Too long to sit there, but too short for her to start another project. Not greedy, but won't say "no" to being paid for her work so she can afford more supplies. Deeply embarrassed when she has to ask advice on a project. Puts things in her jacket pockets because if she uses her pants pockets she'll forget things and they'll fall out when she's working on something. Known as "Ice Queen" by high school classmates. Moved to Athens Harbor during the last year of Junior High and considered moving out after high school and after she became a welder (she has stopped considering it since her parents moved elsewhere). Drives a beat-up 1998 Cadillac.
