Name - Leon Marcel

Race - Human

Sub-race - Ravillian

Class - Rogue 0, Shadow Warrior 10

Allegiance - Ravilla

Appearance - Leon is a tall, scrawny folk, standing at 6'2" and weighing about 155 pounds. He wears a large straw hat that covers most of his sandy brown hair that hangs wild about his head, down to his ears. His eyes are a deep, and oddly captivating brown. His skin a ruddy tanned white. He has persistent stubble along his jawline that seems to come back within hours of shaving, no matter what he does. His clothing consists of a simple, green, long-sleeved tunic and a pair of loose black leggings. He wears a long and ratty brown cloak over his clothing that wraps around him, covering his entire body, even with a hood, though since he always wears the hat, he rarely has the hood up. He does have a distinct scar running across his nose, a thin line that goes up across the bridge of his nose and a little on to each of his cheeks. He also normally has a piece of straw hanging from his mouth.

Age - 26

Personality - He has a relaxed type of composure, calm, cool, and collected. He's a jolly character, even with a similar composure in battle, being a wily character with his sword. He likes joking with friends, and those close to him, sometimes, after a few drinks, even those that he doesn't know a lick about. He likes to think he can be a charmer, but in reality, he's just a smooth talker, not so much one that will woo over all the women, but the kind that can convince them he's a charming man. He's likely to taunt his attackers in combat (Which is why he got his scar), especially after dodging an attack, which is generally the only way he'll defend himself, unless he's left no choice but to actually defend against an assault. He doesn't like travelling too much at once, however, he will march on, but when it's become too much for him, you'll know it, because he will fall silent.

History - Leon was brought up on the busy streets of Decima. His parents were workers in the city, merchants selling food products. Leon would run the streets with his friends during his young years, not coming home until fairly late in the day. Not without suprise, Leon had his fair share of mischief during these years, getting his lunches from the local bread carts at a five-fingered discount. Leon did get a bit of a thrill from stealing, the rush of adrenaline, he got lucky and always only found the good from stealing, never getting caught. By the time he turned 15, Leon had spent a lot of time learning different tricks and stealing methods, even learning to pick simple locks. Eventually, he took up some swordplay with a quick and deft sword, namely the epee (that he stole), knowing he may need to know how to fight if he ever did get caught. Over the next several years, he stuck to the shadows, stealing all sorts of trinkets, though most of his fruits weren't for himself, giving a large deal to a local orphanage, to cloth and feed the young children that had been there. Upon his 21st year of life, a fire sprung up in the orphanage that he had supplied for years, leaving Leon sad and feeling displaced, so he decided to leave the city, honing his skills at thievery, becoming a wandering rogue, travelling from city to city, destined one day to return to Decima, and to the place that he had lost what was once his life, the orphanage. Upon his return to the place the orphanage once stood, now roughly 4 years after the fire, a new statue of the Empress had been place where he had hoped a new orphanage would stand. He didn't take this as a sign of disrespect for the Children, but he looked upon the statue as a symbol of the growing life in the city. This sign made a change in Leon's life, devoting his life now to playing the character to takes from those who were too well off, and giving to those in need, in a way, starting his own service similar to what the orphanage had once offered.

Skill Points - 0

Special Skills
Cloaking - When the shadow warrior hides, he is almost invisible. + 5 to hide and move silently.

Lucky Bastard - Rogues are incredibly lucky, and every now and then this may save them from great harm. When an attack would render a rogue unconscious, he is left with 1 hp instead of 0 or lower. This ability doesn't work in obvious conditions such a drowning or falling in a pool of lava. However, when an enemy takes no chances in stabbing down the rogue (such as when he is immobilised) not even this ability can save the rogue. This ability works once per day for every 20 levels. Also grants a + 5 bonus to Tumble, Use Rope, Search, Lockpick, Pick Pocket, Move Silently, Hide and General Knowledge.

Bad Boy Charm: - Although they mostly aren't very reliable and have little care for rules or honour, rogues hold a strange attraction to others. Their charisma and wits often help them bluff out of dangerous situations, get a better bargain at traders, pretend to be very brave indeed, or when taking on a terrifying presence himself. Once per day for every 8 levels, a Rogue may add his raw intelligence to any charisma based skill he has, including skills such as Cause Panic, Bluff, Diplomacy, and even saves versus fear effects.

2008-03-30 [Veltzeh]: Hmm, what's the spell that was used to enchant the epees? Sonic Blast? The descriptions have probably changed a ton since those were decided...

2008-03-30 [Lepellier]: I believe it was a lvl 1 black magic spell...I'll check though...

2008-03-30 [Lepellier]: Oblivion.

2008-03-30 [Veltzeh]: Ah, righty. I wonder how many turns it lasts... d4 should be good.

2008-03-30 [Lepellier]: that's a good question...I'll look into it.

2008-03-30 [Lepellier]: Stunning is until that character takes damage again.

2008-03-30 [Veltzeh]: That's a bit too powerful for a level 1 enchantment, I'm thinking...

2008-03-30 [Lepellier]: Hey, i'm just going by what is says in the description.

2008-03-30 [Veltzeh]: I'm sure it's supposed to have a duration of some kind.

2008-03-31 [Lepellier]: Answer: Ask Dur.

2008-04-13 [Veltzeh]: Let's do it so that the stunned character makes a CON roll every turn to wake up, with a decreasing DC. The DC starts at 20 + your level and decreases by 2 every turn.

2008-04-14 [Lepellier]: sounds good to me.
