Malevolent Darkness

A bike rumbled down the street, causing the heads of many people to turn and stare. The woman who sat on top completely ignored them. She had better and more important things to do. She needed to go see Mama, the Peltier leader. That morning she had been doing her daily patrols when she had come across a woman lying on the ground. Turns out the woman had been drained of all her blood. Coming to a stop in front of Sanctuary, she cut the engine of her motorcycle and jumped off. Tucking her helmet under her arm she went through the front door of the club. It was slow at this time of day, considering it was just after 8 o'clock at night. Glancing around she saw Wren, one of the Were-hunters who worked here. "Ravyn." He smiled and nodded his head gently. She seemed to be the only one he ever talked to. Grinning she blew him and kiss and went through the doors to the kitchen. "Remi, where's Mama?" She asked the youngest of the Peltier clan. Remi's head shot up at the sound of her calm, soothing voice. "Um...Rae, she's in Carson's office talking to him about our newest member." Remi was one of the only people she allowed to call her Rae, him being the baby and all they were all protective of him. "Thanks, kid." Placing her helmet on a hook with the jackets and other helmets she headed through another door into the Peltier House. Heading up a of stairs she heard shouting coming from Carson's office. Since Mama was rarely caught raising her voice, Ravyn decided it was best to wait out in the hall way.

The sound of an engine filled the air and Obsidian stretched and groaned from her place on one of the rooftops. She stood up, leaving her bow laying on the ground as she looked down at Ravyn walking into the club. She yawned and cracked her neck, and then reached up to brush her fingers through her long black hair. She didn't really have a reason to be there, hell she'd only woken up a bit ago, but she was bored and had decided to come see the place and see if maybe there wasn't something about to happen. After all if she got horribly bored she could always just go for a dance, and a meal.

Living in the Peltier house had its disadvantages. Tacia was awake much too early and went to sleep much to late. The young were-hunter made her way down the hall, passing Ravyn without realizing who it was. She paused, turning back around. The raised voices didn't worry her, she had been hearing it for most of the morning. What did catch her attention, though, was Ravyn standing there in the hall. She gave the Dark Hunter a smile and wave, pausing so she could debate the intelligence of stopping to 'chat'.

Ravyn glanced up and smiled at Tacia. Hey kiddo, how you doing? She spoke into the youngsters mind. She couldn't read her mind but she could talk to her through it. It was very helpful in a city where there were many mutes. Where's your brother? Vane could normally be found hanging around working or flirting with anything female that walked by. She couldn't wait to see who the fates mated him with, whoever it was better be able to put him in his place.

Tacia pointed towards Carson's office. Trying to calm down tempers, she responded both in sign language and projecting into the Dark Hunter's mind. Mama is not happy. But Ravyn could easily tell that by the raised voices.

"What's all the fuss about?" Sonia asked, her mild British accent sounding very out of place as she came inside carrying an overflowing paper grocery bag. "I go to pick up a few things and everybody starts screaming."

Ravyn sniffed the air and growled slightly. "I didn't think he'd be able to come in here alive, but Zander's come in for a visit. Appears hurt. Maybe I can help him along the way." As she burst through the door Carson was in the process of trying to explain to Mama Peltier how keeping an injure Daimon here would effect everyone. "Especially Ravyn. You do realize who this is don't you?" Mama slammed her hand against the wall growling deeply. "Of course I realize who it is. Best keep him where we can watch him then someone else trying to control him." Ravyn decided to it was time to make herself noticed. Stepping forward she cleared her throat. Behind her, through the door, Sonia and Tacia could both be seen. "Well, looks like the Daimons out of the bag, Nicoletta(Mama's actual name)."

Sonia rested the bag of groceries on her hip like a small child and leaned against the wall, watching the people in the room with interest.

Tacia actually made a face as the smell of Daimon hit her. She never found it pleasant, but this was something different. She had to play nice. Taking a step forward, she leaned against the wall outside watching the scene.

Narrowing her eyes slightly she growled at the bear. "Your playing a very dangerous game here Nicoletta. Having him here will bring problems for the whole club and most importantly, your family. " Nicoletta Peltier let out a firece growl. "Don't you threaten me, Ravyn Kontis!!!" Carson stepped forward and shoved them both out into the hallway. "I don't know About you ladies but I sure wouldn't want him waking up right now. " Ravyns angered sizzled just below breaking point. "Ravyn he was found with a god bolt in his thigh in our dumpster. By law of Savitar we had to take him in. I'm sorry but his word prevails over Acherons. " Ravyn nodded her head and turned and began striding away. "I have to get home before the sun comes up." she stormed out of the club, after retrieving her helmet, and raced over to her bike. She climbed on and after straddling it for several moments she started it and tore off in the direction of her house. Back at Sanctuary Carson and Nicoletta were arguing about whether keeping Zander their was a good idea. He was the most wanted Daimon in all of America right now, what could go wrong?

Tacia watched as Ravyn stormed out and closed the door quietly to allow Carson and Mama to finish their discussion. She headed towards the stairs and down, looking for anyone of interest for her to talk to.

Sonia pushed herself off the wall when Ravyn stormed by, "I guess that's my que." She hurriedly put the bag where its contents could be put away when someone found time and ran out, heading for Ravyn's home.

Ravyn's House

Gwen transformed back into a human behind Sanctuary as the moon reflected brightly. She had heard about the dead woman and decided to see if her help could be used. They were tight on man power lately and she wanted to do anything she could to lend a helping hand. As she walked in, through the back door of course, she could hear Mama Peltier yelling. Gwen decided it might be best is she waited to talk to anyone so she went to sit at the bar. With a brief not to Wren, who rarely spoke to her, Gwen sat down with a sigh. Some how this seemed like a long night.

Tacia passed Wren and made her way over to where Gwen was sitting. She sat down and smiled at the tiger. Tacia didn't mind the Arcadian Dark Hunter. At least she didn't get annoyed because Tacia had to use sign language or mime what she was trying to say most of the time.

Gwen stiffened when the woman sat next to her, but then soon realized it was just Tacia. "Are they almost done or should I come back at another time?" Gwen respected the woman, she had a way about things that made Gwen smile.

Soon, Tacia signed. They are still discussing it. She didn't need to tell Gwen what they were discussing. Everyone was quickly finding out, and it was just a matter of time before someone told the wrong person.

He sighed "So people are just so persistent" Tiberius brought both hands together. Again the lightning burst forth, cascading in an arcing pattern. The wood blistered from the heat and the air itself seemed to turn to mist. He side stepped again, the bleeding had already stopped. Dias was again stirring. The Daimon was dangerously simple in its' desire: fighting.

Obsidian had moved fast enough that only the part of her was caught in the attack. The jolt sent a rigid shard of pain through her body and the burned scent of flesh filled the air. Part of her left arm was black and burned, the skin cracking to show the red flesh underneath when she moved. She moved again, slashing at his legs in her attack.

He brought his feet up, only to hammer them back towards her and delivering another burst of energy. Tiberius was careful to avoid the claws, and began thinking of his two weapons in the far corner focus imbecile! Not going to lose because you are multitasking! Dias lent his full potential to Tiberius, making the room stink of Ozone.

Obsidian wasn't fazed. She was not a Kathoros daimon for nothing. She spun, planting one hand on the floor and hefting her body into a spinning kick expelling the energy that had been shot into her. Her injured arm lashed out, throwing several of her needles, to many to avoid considering that he had to counter a simultaneous attack both above and from below.

Many of needles found their mark. Tiberius' laughed darkly as the turned to steam as Lightning began coursing around him again. He was fazed, not having fought so hard in so long at this caliber had surprised him "What a pleasant surprise" he looked around at the room i wonder how long this place will last before it catches fire, the would be....a pain in the ass? yes so cool down, i thought we didn't like to much attention! Dias cut him off mid thought.

Obsidian was forced to stay close in order to stay away from the lightening but her attacks had stopped. Each one of her needles was loaded with enough poison to down an elephant; a fact she was sure Dias Ire was probably telling Tiberious now. Although she had not used her deadly poison she hoped putting Tiberious to sleep would help Dias Ire gain control.

Tiberius laughed as he felt the foreign chemicals spread "You really have no idea who or what you're dealing with" he felt his movements become sluggish as the venom wore off "If i where human, i'd be dead. But i am no longer human, whats more Daimon these little things are but a minor inconvenience" lightning sparked back to life in his hands, though this time it had a sickly hue to it. He made his attack, only for the lightning to become out of control Shit!, Tiberius...get a hold of yourself! Dias tried to shake him awake as his body was thrown against an exposed wall stud. The room became charged as the baleful blast coruscated throughout the room.

Obsidian struggled to her feet from where she'd been thrown by the hard blast. Her skin was cracked and raw and her face was dirty and grimy as she stood up. She moved painfully forward close to Tiberious, feeling her body start to heal just a little bit. "On the contrary. I know exactly what I'm dealing with. If I had meant for you to die, you would be dead." She snarled at Tiberious's unconscious body. She knelt down and drew out a dagger, not to stab him but to cut a small scratch into his arm and make him bleed.

He reached out and caught her by the wrist, his grip causing tendons and bones to strain "Poison cannot kill me" he rasped as he began to come to. Tiberius grinned "I wonder how you'd fare if i did that again....at this range" he chuckled darkly.

"I wasn't trying to kill you." Obsidian hissed angrily, and gritted her teeth against the pain, her skin crackled as she lunged forward and buried her teeth into his arm, just as she brought her other hand came up to hold down his other hand. Her tongue lapped at the wound, tasting the blood.

He smiled "I know" he paused, grip tightening "Dias. Release" Lightning arced once again, away from Tiberius, emanating it seemed from his eyes, mouth and open wounds, a horrible popping and hissing sound echoed around the room. Even Tiberius wasn't entirely immune to it as he felt his skin char and could hear more than see what was likely his own sword becoming distorted from the influx.

Obsidian growled with pain, she refused to scream, instead gritting her teeth as she felt her skin crackle but the blood she'd induced was already working. It rushed through her body healing even as she was wounded and she gathered her power around her and tore her arm free from his grasp. She brought back her arm and delivered a crippling blow to the bottom of his jaw that would've have crushed a human's skull. Fueled by the strength of the blood her eyes were black, and her Kathoros tattoos seemed to glow darkly as she delivered blow after blow; driven by the pain of her skin tearing on to have it heal again less than a second later.

He smiled as each blow sent him backwards, then he realized something. Dawn, and it was coming soon. He caught both fists in his own, crushing one just enough to make her bleed "You're not the only one with a blood lust" He twisted both wrists "How long can you as a solitary being sustain yourself?" Another burst of energy, and the two where nearly spent. Once again lightning arced forward, Tiberius had just enough time to look on in disbelief as it sparked along what looked like a gas line.

Somewhere inside the city, a lone Dark Hunter stalked the night. Krez walked a fine line tonight. He had been told to stay inside unless it was an emergency. What counted as an emergency was different for Krez than others. He had run out of metal to make the daggers the Dark Hunters used to stick Daimons. And this was a mission to find something else to use. Acheron was going to be annoyed with him, but even Ash knew that Krez hated to stay inside the big mansion alone.
