Moonlight in California: The Pack - Moonlight in California: The Pack pt2 - Moonlight in California: The Pack pt3 - Moonlight in California: The Pack pt4 - Moonlight in California: The Pack pt5 - Moonlight in California: The Pack pt6

The next morning Lynn was the last to wake, as Shelia unlocked and opened the door. "So, is your heat driven lust past or should we keep you in here today?" she asked before making any other moves. The males were all back and if she was still heating the would get a whiff and tear the bar and each other apart trying to claim her. Marcus was the only one who could snap them out of that single minded desire to mate. Over her shoulder was a clean shirt and in her hand a clean pair of Lynn's panties and shorts.

Lynn lay on the ground in human form once the sun rose but she was sweating heavily. The shirt was bunched in her hands and held close to her face and the wetness between her thighs was not just sweat. She was sprawled as much as she could be on the floor in the cage trying to cool down. HEr wolven eyes looked at kristy then to Sheila and she moaned wiggling around on the ground. She'd never felt the heat so driving before. So hot and making her feel so empty. IT was not a pleasant feeling needing to feel another body along her own so badly she'd give anything to have it.

Shelia turned and told Kristy to go get some water in a bucket and bring down some rags and a towel. Once the younger girl left she knelt down near Lynn, "I know it can be hard dealing with heat, especially since I bet you and Dallas spent a great deal of time together. But, if you can't learn some control, Marcus will have us keep you locked up until it passes." Smoothing some hair out of her eyes, she did feel sorry that there was nothing else to do. Wondering what Dallas would do if he knew the situation the little vacation away was doing to Lynn.

"Need... hot..." Lynn moaned softly inhaling deeply from the shirt near her face. Her eyes nearly rolled into her head from pleasure and she couldn't focus very well. She knew it was morning. She knew she wasn't right yet either. What she didn't know was why it was so hard to think about anything. All she could think was she needed Dallas and that she was too hot. She ached with need and it was something she had never experienced... at least like this she hadn't. She'd never had a heat before that had stopped her so completely like this one was.

She shook her head and pulled the door shut and relocked it, she would tend to Lynn until the heat passed. "I know it's awful and there is nothing really that can be done, it has to run the course. Alpha's will is no breeding, it is too difficult right now to move like we do and care for an infant." The idea of an infant werewolf was almost laughable, and she even wondered how they would ever be able to allow mating. Not only that, but Marcus used sex as a reward and denied it as a punishment.

Lynn moaned and continued to writhe on the ground. She was too hot. Her loins ached to be filled and she wasn't able to speak like she wanted to to tell Shelia she was okay. She wanted to get out of the cage... get off the floor and clean up. She wanted to rest in her own bed. Besides... she was very thirsty and hungry... in a way she hadn't remembered other then being in wolf form before. Now she was in human form and it was about all she could do to stay that way. Her heat was coursing through her veins.

Kristy returned with the water rags and towels, then left as Shelia told her to get food and water and the blanket off Lynn's bed. She wetted the rag and began wiping down Lynn, she wasn't shy about making sure to get everywhere. "I hope you aren't too upset about this, then again I bet the water feels good." Kristy came down with the food and water as well as the blanket. Shelia took everything and dismissed the irratating younger girl, it would do better if she wasn't making Lynn mad.

Lynn growled softly each time Kristy came close to her. She also growled when Shelia wiped her down in places she didn't like. She still didn't really like Shelia being around or even near her right now but she was aware Shelia was alpha. "Dallas..." Lynn whined until she took a very deep whiff of the man's shirt still clutched in her hands. She still wanted him badly and she wanted him now... but Marcus and Shelia would never let them be together now.

"I'm sure he misses you too, but right now you have no control over yourself and the stability of the pack comes before our desires." Shelia skirted certain areas when Lynn growled, but they needed wiped down as well. She marvelled that having been gone only a little while Lynn came back so worked up over Dallas. There was probably a story behind their little trip, one that Dallas would never talk about and Lynn hopefully would keep away from them as well. Speaking low and looking Lynn in the eyes she said, "For your own good, do not discuss what happened between you and Dallas with anyone."

"Mine!" Lynn growled angrily but put the shirt to her face and close her eyes inhaling deeply to get as much scent as she could. Lynn would never share what happened, this was between her and Dallas. She had never had a man treat her so nicely and care about her before. She would always treasure that time they had together. But truthfully she would be moaning over any male right at the moment. Dallas was just the bait... and the only scent she had of any male. She wanted to feel a male inside of her against her breathing on the back of her neck.

Shelia finished wiping her down and promised to look in on her later. Then covering Lynn with the blanket for modesty's sake then left the food and water close by as well as the washing water. "Try to sleep Lynn hopefully your heat passes quickly and we can let you out." she said before taking the stairs. She would find Dallas and let him know what was going on then tell Marcus. Before she went anywhere else she locked the basement door, no one should get close to Lynn right now, at least any male.

In the morning Lynn felt aweful, She had found Dallas's shirt... the sheets were soaked with sweat and... Well she still felt bad and her mouth was completely dry. She did remember Growling at Shelia... but she didn't really remember anything else. Lynn sat up slowly and resisted the urge to groan. The full moon was almost over... in fact it after that last night it would only get better for Lynn to keep control.

Marcus came down and went first to Shelia's cage, "Good morning my nude lovelies, did you sleep well?" Shelia once free wiped herself down with clean water and dressed, then Marcus let Kristy out to do the same. "How do you feel Lynn? The full moon is over and hopefully your early heat." Slowly he extended his hand into the cage, it would be a test to see how she fared. If she was more interested in him touching or pleasing her then she stay put. It was wierd, did Dallas not only cause this, but could he have inspired a single devoted female.

Lynn was very unhappy about Kristy getting let out before her but she did understand why it was done that way. Her eyes did turn wolven when he put his hand through the bars and she leaned closed inhaling deeply. But she also swallowed down the want of him and crossed her arms over her body partially to hide the erect nipples and the goosebumps, but mostly to help her stay seated and not let any petty feeling like lust get her in any more trouble then she already was. "I am... better now." Lynn says softly after a moment, her voice gruff from the dryness but she stayed where she was looking up at him but not into his eyes challangingly in any way. She did feel more like herself though.

"That is good, but I want you to stay here with Shelia today just for a little extra time to come back. Dallas can go and collect by himself and then return here, you two can see to the bar." Marcus left the key in the cage and went up the stairs leaving Lynn and Shelia behind. Leaning down and opening the door Shelia whispered, "It's good to have you back Lynn." Then she went to get clothes for Lynn to change into, and set them inside within easy reach.

"I'm sorry." Lynn says softly before changing into the clothing and grabbing the bottled water just outside the bars. Checking the seal on the bottle then cracking it open and taking a good drink Lynn sighed softly. She had never reacted like that before when the Heat came over her. However she did have to admit this time was different. She had been stressed and of course her days away with Dallas probably hadn't helped either. Though she did feel much better. In fact she really wanted to bake, more then anything else she wanted to bake.. either bread or a cake or something she just really wanted to be in the kitchen again and working with her hands again.

Once upstairs Shelia went behind the bar and let Lynn have the kitchen. Pouring drinks and setting up beer was more her forte, let Lynn cook and create to her hearts content. Inside the kitchen was several brown paper sacks with various things inside, someone had went to the local market and picked up some supplies. Marcus had gotten a cup of coffee and headed back up to Cubby's office to handle business. The owner of the bar was sitting at a corner table looking usually vexed like when they first took over.

Lynn pulled on an apron washed her arms and hands and went straight to work. Pulling out everything she needed for baking she decided to make some banana nut bread and some scones for the coffee. She was making an extra large batch of both and was soon covered in flour and powdered sugar. Once one thing on was in the oven she began on the next. DEciding on the banana nut bread first, then she could work on the scones and then the scone glaze and perhaps she would make some jam as well. It took several hours and was well into the afternoon by the time she finished everything. But the smell of baked goods was sweet in the air, the apple scones with the blackberry preserve... the banana nut bread baked perfectly. She cut everything out into even proportions and then brought them out of the kitchen and around to the bar. Setting down the serving platters she smiled at Shelia and went back into the kitchen to get some more to bring out. She had arranged a tray for Marcus, specifically for him with a fresh cup of coffee. Other then that she just needed to clean everything up and she would rest and eat until the night.

Dallas had come in and could smell everything & knew Lynn was ok, he got a cup of coffee and a slice of bannana bread and sat down. Shelia looked at him and smiled, "So, you going to go talk to Lynn she is in the kitchen." "None of your business Shelia, I have done my duty for the pack today." he retorted holding her eyes. In the pack Shelia and he stood on the same rung practically, and while the nitpicked at one another they still reported to Marcus. After he finished up with the coffee and bread he went into the kitchen, "Compliments to the chef." he called to her with a slight grin.

Lynn dropped one of the metal mixing bowls right into the sink with a loud clatter before reaching back down with soapy hands to finish cleaning it. "Thank you...I... I figured everyone could use something nice... after this last week being so hectic and everything." Lynn said softly, she was staying near the water, slowly using the wrag to clean the dishes. Not what she wanted... or what she lusted to do but she was determind to stop her own heat from being to heavy. Especially after last night and yesterday with everything that had happened. She did not want a repeat of it happening again.

Marcus pushed Dallas into the kitchen and pushed the doors closed. "Just the man I was looking for, Dallas we will be leaving here soon and we need to discuss the loose ends." Dallas looked at him with a quizzical expression, Cubby had been told if he cooperated they would leave and he could go back to life as normal. Was Marcus going back on his word, would they again leave a burning building and bloody bodies in their wake? It wasn't what he signed on for, and he knew Lynn didn't have it in her to kill the older human and make this look like an accident.

Lynn swallowed and concentrated hard on cleaning the dishes. She didn't want to get involved. She knew they left towns in a hurry and that they did things illegal things. Lynn just hoped Marcus didn't want her to do anything, so far he had been letting her stay out of such things. After all she was no good with violent things or anything violent.

"You told Cubby we would just leave and that would be it. Are you changing that agreement? I mean you haven't even sent out anyone to find the next place, it is a new direction if so." He was trying not to draw attention to Lynn and therefore Marcus's ire. "No, I want you and Lynn to find our next 'home' while I take the rest south into Mexico. You will go to Nevada or Oklahoma, Texas has worn out its welcome."

Lynn was certainly surprised, but she continued washing the dishes and tried not to overhear... or at least pay too much attention. It wasn't her place after all. But it was strange that Marcus wanted then to go so far away from the rest of the pack. Lynn so far hadn't really been trusted like this before and she wondered if it was some kind of trap... or something. Marcus was always putting people in corners somehow. It reminded her of her student loan manager. That woman was referred to as the devil in heals because of her attitude. Marcus was just the big bad wolf... but he really was bad. She wondered why he was leaving the choice up to Dallas and her anyways... it was rather strange to Lynn all these happenings.

"I will leave some instructions to the two of you, firstly, you will have to rent a storage locker or something akin to lock Lynn up during the next moon. If you two decide to 'play' I expect you to use protection as I have always stressed. Third, I expect results not excuses for the time you be away from the pack." Dallas nodded, glad the subject of Cubby and this bar was being moved away from. "So, when does Lynn and I hit the road to find the new 'home'?" he asked looking at her then back to Marcus.

something deffinetly had to be going on Lynn decided. Why would Marcus let them roam so far from the pack if there wasn't. They could not let their gaurd down. Especially after her heat took a turn for the worse last night. Lynn sighed silently and continued scrubbing the baking pans clean of baked on goods. As long as she was allowed to cook and work in a kitchen she was happy enough. She just wanted a place to belong really. She hoped that Dallas would help her find that place. But really she didn't know what to do now. She was not the youngest in the pack but she was the youngest time wise. Though she had more control than Kristy she was by no means a real alpha.

"I will most likely release the two of you before we depart for Mexico, you will need to make sure you have everything you need before we part ways. I will also expect nightly updates on where you are." he explained before leaving them alone. Dallas took a seat not far from Lynn and the sink, "So, Nevada or somplace else first?" He wasn't afraid that Marcus would hear them talk or make plans. The alpha had given them permission to scout for the pack and Dallas would make a plan that worked for him.

Lynn being the obedient person who abided rules like she was continued to wash the dishes. She had used plenty of pots and the baked on peices of bread on the baking pans needed to soak a little before she could really clean it all off. So she would do what the Alpha instructed her to do and if nothing else was expected of her she would do what she always did and cook and clean. those were things she enjoyed anyways which was why she had gone to school for it. Why she had been targeted by Marcus she would probably never know but really it didn't change too much. she was still getting to do what she liked and while the conditions were not ideal and she had been taken from her old life and could only sometimes speak to her parents she had never been really close with them anyways. So this fmily was as good as any really.

Dallas stood behind her and lightly touched her shoulders, "Lynn, did you hear me? I want your opinion on where we begin, someplace in Nevada or head to a different state?" Marcus didn't care if Dallas asked for her opinion, and Dallas liked the idea of Lynn helping to choose. It would make her feel like more of a part of the pack, and charting the family's path. Dallas also would wait until on the road to make sure she was wearing the necklace he bought her, and she was on the back of the bike and happy.

Lynn jumped and dropped the pan she was washing into the sink with a large plop. Suds flying up and water too spotting her face. Turning to look at Dallas Lynn started to laugh. She hadn't thought she was concentrating that hard and it just struck her as funny that she dropped the pan and splashed herself. It was probbly the first time she laughed in front of Marcus... or in any kitchen since he had turned her into a werewolf. "Sorry... um anyplace if fine... I'm not a big geological expert or anything... Nevada sounds fine" Lynn says grabbing a towel and wiping her face. "Of course if you wanted to strt elsewhere I would be fine with that too." Lynn said after dabbing her face dry. Dallas was the second in the pack after all and was higher in hierchy then she was.

Leaning closer he whispered, "Think of somewhere you'd like to visit, even if we don't take up residence there." It was quiet enough that no one but Lynn would hear and he held her eyes while saying it. Dallas wanted her to use her voice and tell him what she thought. Marcus was giving him a little flexibility in this regard and he was going to use it. "Marcus might release us to go by the end of the week, so have some ideas ready for me, ok?"

"Alright... I will try." Lynn said softly, looking down into the water and then reaching in for the pan. She needed to concentrate on something other then the three nights they got to enjoy themselves. Because she was still not the most stable. though she was much better her heat still lingered, in fact if the room didn't smell like the things she had baked and the soapy water she might be having some real problems with her self control. As it was it wasn't too bad however. Just apparently eye contact and low deep rolling voices were. Of course when weren't they really.

Not thinking about the situation Dallas reached down and patted her hip. "You are gonna have to carry a gun, just like the one I taught you to carry. Other than that we'll come up with our plans as we go." Dallas headed out into the bar to pull out his map and start working on a plan. No one ever said there would be a vacation from the pack, and he never thought of it that way when scoutning. Tonight he wondered how long they would have to scout around and come up with a new place.

Lynn's breath caught but she only scrubbed harder on the pan. After he left she calmed herself down, but she hoped things didn't get too bad between them when they were off on the mission to find a new temporary home, because really they never stayed in one place more then a few months. They had yet stayed in one place for the year even and Lynn wondered why they moved so often, other then the drug dealing and probably because of... the problem. Lynn sighed softly and finished washing all the platters and pans and things and sat down in the kitchen. It was probably the best place for her nyways. She was thinking about trying to cook something for dinner, there was plenty she could do but the pack always wanted meat. Not just meat flavored dishes.

Shelia came in behind Lynn while she was finishing up the dishes and watched for a second. "Why not order pizza for dinner tonight for us? You have baked your entire day today and no one would blame you for doing otherwise. I would even be willing to ask Marcus for permission, or perhaps help you if he refuses." In truth Shelia wondered if Lynn, Dallas, and Michael were in the same room again if the males might start fighting again. She picked up a piece of bannana bread and took a bite, Lynn certainly knew how to bake.

"I was thinking about chicken actually... or fish. Probably tilapia. If I can get some fish... Chicken we have though... I could make stuffed chicken... or even just chicken grilled with onions and peppers... baked potatoes and vegetables... That wouldn't bother me too much... besides if I don't cook... everyone might be grouchier." Lynn sighed softly glad Shelia was trying to help her though... She loved to cook and bake and while the dish would be simple... it was probably something she could handle without too much difficulty. Besides grilling would be far from what she usually did. "I could make chicken wings... with some hotsauce if the grilled chicken doesn't sound good." Lynn mused out loud. While she was glad to be in the kitchen again she had quickly settled back into the solitary life of being a cook and staying in the kitchen and not being a real part of the pack.

"Personally I like the idea of the grilled chicken so many of the others love their fried food though. But, Marcus has a more refined sense when appreciating your cooking." She leaned against the counter and regarded Lynn quietly, "So, would you like some ideas about helping select a new home for us?" She had went with Rick and even with Dallas once on these trips and knew somethings that they looked for. And even though Lynn may one day try usurping her, she didn't mind passing along this information.

"I think I will do the grilling then... I can flavor everything since I bought stuff a little while ago. probably some basil leaves would be good with a sweet sauce to put on top of the chicken and fresh steamed vegetables and grilled peppers and onions to go on top... with the baked potatoessome spring onions and garlic salt..." Lynn mused out loud before grabbing the paper and pen she always left in the kitchen. Writing everything down she paused and looked up at Shelia. "I think it would be best to leave it to Dallas... after all he's the one who picks the places we stay at most of the time and there haven't been any problems so far. As long as there is a kitchen I don't mind at all." Lynn said softly with a shrug. She knew most of the details of what they needed after all Marcus took great delight in telling people how they have survived this long as a pack and many other things. He was dangerous but he was also a man which meant he had an ego.

Shelia smiled at Lynn's comment, "Lynn, I have always given my opinion when we move. That is why Marcus in general sends two for scouting you see, Dallas will scout for places to sell and make our den. You can influence things like being near grocery or other types of things. I lovd this little hole in the wall when I saw it, and even more so when Cubby told me there was a local farmers market nearby, not to mention the green spaces to go and enjoy the smell of the grass and trees." Her second was a funny woman, she constantly thought that she needed to be submissive and not express her opinions.

"I'll write that down then... and look for those things once we move around." Lynn said turning to a back page of her notebook and writing everything Shelia was saying down. Lynn herself never minded she rarely left the dens they made when they moved so looking for those other things hadn't actually occured to her. that was starting to change recently and while she liked it on the other hand it had been much simpler tostay in the kitchen. She had only had two friends in cullinary school before anyways and not many close friends before that. She was rather used to being on her own and doing things alone, not on purpose but it just sort of worked out that way for her. "Is there anything else you want me to look for? Or can I start getting things ready for dinner?" Lynn asked softly, she was far more concerned with getting everyone fed then she was the moving situation.

"No that's it, if you want some help just tell me." Shelia told her before walking back out. Once in the bar she observed Dallas looking at several maps and making swome notes. The gypsy life suited him, moving from one place to another following the road. Lynn wasn't the same she needed a kitchen and people to cook for. Why Marcus put them together for this was confusing to her.

From the kitchen came the noises that marked Lynn being in there and cooking. The sound of the grills being turned on and the stove being heated up. She was cleaning the veg and chicken. Then she was getting everything together that she needed while things were heating up. Marcus would love the nights meal everyone else would just have to deal with it. She knew it wasn't going to be everyones favorites but it would taste really good and it would be healthy and give them a boost. As long as Marcus approved Lynn didn't really care about anyone else. Though she wanted to make sure Dallas liked it too.

True to form most of the males grumbled about the meal, the females had no opinion. Marcus did provide her with some praise as did Shelia, Dallas when he brought in his cleaned plate told her it was very good. He took her hand in his and rubbed his thumb over her wrist and smiled. "You should really have had your own restuarant, babe." he whispered to her before heading out the back door. Lynn could smell that he lit a cigarette and was probably going to head to the barn roof.

Lynn smiled lightly at the praise and began to wash the dishes. She'd been fine working in the kitchen with the chicken. It hadn't bothered her at all, so from now on she was probably going to be cooking a lot more... breakfast and lunch were both easily handled dinner and the need for red meat might be a little tougher. She didn't know if she could handle raw red meat. In fact she needed to finish the dishes so she could go downstairs for the night and get locked up for the final night of the moon phase.

The next morning the females were turned loose from the cages and went upstairs for breakfast. Rick looked like he had gotten into a fight with something, but he was healing up. Dallas was back at a table with Marcus discussing several things in low tones. Kristy was dressed for what might be the last time she'd see the professor who arranged for a session by paying three hundred dollars to Marcus. Michael saw her coming and nudged Shelia who looked up from her cup of coffee. "I hope you can whip up a quick breakfast Lynn the men just got back and we need to head out soon."

"Yes... another pair of hands in the kitchen would help it go faster though..." Lynn said walking straight into the kitchen. Grabbing her apron putting it on, she had the pans heating on the stove and had grabbed the cartons of eggs and milk and several other things. Eggs and bacon and sausage and fresh bread. She pulled the bread out of the freezer and turned on the oven. She had three pans on the stove and her hands were washed. They needed a quick breakfast she'd give them a quick breakfast.

Shelia came in and washed hers and waited for Lynn to give her a job to do. It was ok to help out now and then in the kitchen, but it was never her first desire. She was the typical rich kid playing bad girl, and after Marcus she was the Alpha female of the pack. The only complaint she had was the strict hierarchy of the pack, the females were lower then the males even though she ranked almost equal with Dallas. That and Marcus deemed who had sex and when and who joined him in his bed, except when he pimped Kristy for a couple hundred dollars.

Lynn smiled brightly. "Can you go get the bacon... then make the scrambled eggs. I'll take care of the rest." Lynn said with proper humility. she was after all a very obediant and sweet person naturally. Lynn liked being in the kitchen again. She had felt pretty useless when she wasn't in here. She didn't really have any real skills to speak of other then her cooking. she couldn't help the pack when she wasn't cooking either... It made Lynn wonder what Mrcus would do with her later on.

Shelia did as she was asked and flipped on the radio while they worked making breakfast. "I envy you a little Lynn, getting to go and scout with Dallas. He is very good at finding places for us to hang our hats." she commented with a smile. She had went with Dallas once before they acquired Lynn and was genuinely impressed how insightful the rough acting biker could be. She smiled again thinking that Lynn must be something special since Dallas had never taken an opportunity to lay with any of the other females.

"I'm rather surprised myself... Dallas hasn't really spoken to me before... and Marcus wanted me to stay in the kitchen or stay with him..." Lynn says softly, not wanting to get into a fight or get in trouble with CShelia but at the same time also voicing her surprise. Afterall it wasn't like Lynn shut everyone out, it was just that no one came into the kitchen to talk to her so she rarely talked to the whole pack.

Shortly after breakfast was served the members began to break off to their chores. Dallas collected some plates and brought them into Lynn, "Going with me collecting today? I checked with Marcus and he agreed to let us stop by the farmer's market again to pick up dinner." Setting the plates down, he knew she might argue about cleaning up the kitchen. But, he was already prepared for that argument and smiled waiting for her answer.

"I should clean the kitchen... I don't want to have to leave it a mess... if we aren't going to stay here for much longer then I don't think I should get familiar with the market." Lynn said softly smiling at him and then taking the dishes over to the sink, getting ready to do the dishes, she was always very clean using tools and cleaning them, even with her own person she was a very clean person. She paid good attention to detail and especially liked trying out new recipes. As for habits she was the same as always, shy and cautious and obedient. She did like the freedom Dallas always offered though.

"Michael has to clean the kitchen to your specifications to be allowed to leave again. So, you can get anything you want for our last meal here at the farmer's market." He smiled back and placed a hand towel over her shoulder to dry her hands on. "I'm leaving in about an hour or so, so be ready to go out back with your jacket." He then turned to go tell Michael that he needed to start cleaning the kitchen to Miss Lynn's liking.

"Er but I should show micheal how to do things then shouldn't I?" Lynn said drying her hands anyways. She was already in agreement to go with him and she was thinking of changing her pants but, really she needed to wash those jeans they bought. She would be fine in her softer polyester pants, and her nice button up blouse. Her jacket was in her room hanging up. She was afraid to ruin it and she decided she would keep it nice until she always needed it.

"Nope, he should now how to wash dishes and mop a floor, they aren't jobs that take a Masters degree. Oh, and we are gonna make a side trip so you can do some practice with the pistol again." He let the door shut behind him and yelled for Michael, knowing that the giant would be angry for being assigned this job. He explained after Michael began to complain that if he ever wanted to leave the den again he would do as he was told. He went outside to get his bike ready for two and get her pistol out of his backpack, and with a grin took out her necklace too.

Lynn sighed and showed Micheal where everything was before heading upstairs. Her hair was already in a ponytail but she figured she had better braid it and so she did, then she got her jacket and after double checking herself in the mirror she went downstairs to head outside. If Marcus wanted to talk she would stop and talk... but she would like to get out of the kitchen again, she wasn't quite ready for a full time kitchen duty again actually.

Marcus was nowhere to be found, he was in his office as one of the told her. Dallas was out back and sitting on his bike and kicked it over as she exited the door. Looking over his shoulder he smiled and pointed with his thumb behind him. The older Harley was one of the only two things that belonged to him from his old life. The forty-four and most of his other suplies was from either the pack or the hunter he took down six years ago.

"Sorry it took me so long..." Lynn said softly with a small smile. Lynn swung her leg over holding onto Dallas's arm for support so she wouldn't fall over. Once on the bike she scooted forward so she was against Dallas and her arms wrapped around his stomach snuggly. "I'm ready." She said softly backpack on and straps adjusted for her much smaller shoulders. Since he hadn't said much she wondered slightly if she had gotten him in trouble at all over the full moon. She hoped not but really no one had much control... at least no female she had ever heard of.

Once on and settled they set off back to the shooting range, the same one they visited three days ago. Dallas paid for a box of ammo and walked her to the range. "Alright, we have this place for a little while so we'll start by going over basics and then target practice." Smiling he put the gun and ammo into her hands then reached up to take the backpack off. For a second he thought about kissing her, he'd been thinking about it since he offered her to come with him.

"Um... okay but... If I'm still not very good at this don't laugh..." Lynn said blushing slightly. She helped take the backpack off before taking the gun. She knew the safety was still on because... well because Dallas wouldn't hand her a gun that would fire accidently. The bad thing was she forgot where the safety was. Putting on the safety glasses she smiled at Dallas with them on. She needed some kind of confidence booster because the only thing she had confidence in was her cooking.

"I won't laugh, but you'll need to keep working on it, my life very well could depend on your shot." He stood behind her to give her hints and minor corrections to how she handled the gun. Setting one hand on her hip and the other on her shoulder he helped her line up. "Don't forget squeeze don't pull and make sure you don't close your eyes." Getting down a little he eyed her aim and inadvertantly began breathing on her neck.

Lynn shivered very lightly and with his instructions and the warmth of him behind her she squared up and squeezed the trigger, the shot went straight into the red of the target and Lynn turned her head to look at Dallas obviously very excited about it. Though it was more likely a fluke more then anything else. A very lucky shot, she would still need a lot of practice but she was still excited and she didn't know she didn't really have much talent for this sort of thing. "I did it!" She said happily.

"And do it again hotstuff." he replied with a smile and a wink. Lynn was getting the hang of it, she would just have to keep practicing. He thought at some point she would have to shoot a living breathing target. That would be a little harder, and possible be the hardest lesson for him to teach her. "Remember, on us a regular bullet will slow us until we heal, silver will cause a lot of damage that heals slowly.

"Oh... I didn't know that." Lynn said softly before trying to square up again, once she was in the position and sighting along the gun she squeezed the trigger. It was in the third ring... but she tried again, and again, and again. While she seemed to be able to group her shots very well... they were all in the third ring. After she emptied the clip her shoulders sagged a little. "This is hard..." She said softly frowning at the results, though she held the gun gingerly once it was empty.

Dallas put his hands over hers, "No one was perfect the first time they handled a gun. Kinda like the first time you have sex, awkward and scary then it gets easier." He reached over and held up a new clip so she could eject and reload the nine. "And remember it only takes one hit to change someones mind how much they want to get at you." Leaning down he whispered, "Unless they REALLY want you bad enough."

Lynn knocked the clip against the edges a few times before getting it into the gun and in place. Her breath was a little shakey, though unlike most shooters just learning her arms were already strong because of her cooking, so there were no tremors no shaking. She blushed a little at the mention of sex but she was keeping her mind focused on the red dot. She needed to hit that red dot, or get closer to it. With Dallas helping her she still didn't get much closer but her grouping was still very good.

As she began to line up for another shot, Dallas took the forty out and fired past her into the target as she fired. She would need to learn about multiple gunshots if she would ever be of use. He knew she might get cross with him about it, but he was prepared to explain. Just as quick as he took it out he put it away without another thought. They would still have some time after the next thirty minutes before they had to meet with Rick.

Lynn jumped and her shot didn't even hit the target. "D-DALLAS!?" She squeeked looking wide eyed at him, she was not at all ready for that kind of surprise. HEr heart was racing and her eyes wide. She was literally shocked out of her wits by what had happened. She didn't know why he had done that but she certainly was no where near ready for it. Not to mention when would she ever be in a shoot out. Realistically she probably never would be.

"You may someday be shooting as others around you shoot as well. I don't want you to freeze up or miss wildly. It gives them a chance to return fire and if it was a hunter could kill you." He told Caitlin all about them enough that she could protect herself, Lynn was different she wasn't used to this life. Dallas knew that if he declared his desire to protect her above all, Marcus would seperate them. Reaching out he touched her cheek, "I don't want anything happening to you again Lynn."

"I... I don't want any of that to happen. H-has it happened before?" Lynn asked softly, she was a little frightened, everyone told her about hunters. In fact everyone told her about many things like Vampires and such but she had never seen one... and while yes werewolves exsisted Lynn still didn't really beleive Vampires did... that and there ould be more hunters if there were so many werewolves wouldn't there? Lynn nuzzled Dallas's hand, she didn't like any of these things they were discussing.

"Blood suckers you'll smell coming most times, we've dealt with them before both good and bad. Hunters are human and they learn to track and kill us, where do you think I got this and the silvers I keep in my bag. I want you safe period." he said lifting her chin and kissing her lightly. Wrapping his arms about her waist then lifting her up onto the counter. Even the thought of facing Vampires and hunters made him want to enjoy any time he got to spend with her.

Lynn very much so enjoyed the tenderness he always showed her and how gentle he was with her and how fervently he wanted her to learn about this world. "Dallas... what about practicing?" She asked softly, not that she really wanted to stop but she could not go back to the den smelling like him and lust. That was where she was headed and while it was very true she still didn't want to live like this she had no choice in the matter. He kept her safe and she had to keep him safe. They couldn't do anything different. Not one hair out of place or Marcus would come down on them hard.

"I know babe, I know." he said setting his head against her shoulder. Only a couple more days, and Marcus understood with the riding and everything she needed to get used to his bike. Stealing one more kiss he let her go and began policing her brass from the floor. "Reload those mags like I showed you then we'll get the target and throw it away." The man would have to treat her like any other member of the pack until they were alone and away from them.

"Yes..." Lynn said softly doing as she was instructed. She was still very unfamiliar with the feeling of the metal in her hands. It was almost foreign to her. She didn't like it much at all, much used to slimmer handles on cooking utensils. She wished she could do better at what he was trying to teach her, but at the same time she hoped he would always be there so he could take care of her. Him and MArcus. She would never be able to cross Marcus, she was terrifyed of the man... of the beast.

He gave her a spank, like you see ball players do, "Your getting better and soon you'll be backing me up." Dallas wanted her to get more confidence, maybe even be like the woman he saw when they were alone. She truly surprised him a mixture of that girl next door and steamy sex pot. But, part of him wanted that Lynn only around when they were alone. Marcus would see her being an upstart and Shelia possibly a threat, and he wanted her just the way she was.

Lynn blushed harder at the spank and nodded her head. "I hope so." She said softly, and it was true she hoped he would become proud of her skills that he had taught her. Once she was done she stood there holding everything, waiting for him to put it away or take it. She was waiting for them to go on their rounds, she hoped nothing happaned today. Nothing at all, in fact she hoped it was really really really boring and that things went really smoothly, just pick ups and drop offs kind of thing.

Rick had been waiting twenty minutes with one of his better clients when they arrived. "About time, dude!" he called bringing a large roll of cash over and putting it in the backpack and taking out some more product. "Gotta make sure she's ready to hit the road for scouting, Marcus knows what we were doing. If you wanna complain call him." was Dallas' simple remark. Rick shook his head and went back to his client and handed him the bag.

"I'm sorry." Lynn said softly in return staying on the bike. Staying behind Dallas, she could smell the sickness on the man beside Rick and it was... disgusting really really nasty. She didn't want anywhere near the guy. Besides they had other places to go and she wanted to go do them. Away from these creepy people who smelled of sickness. After the moon cycle she always realized how disgusting most humans really were.

Dallas fired up and they rode off to meet Shelia then to get the money from Kristy. Both women had opposite opinions about Lynn going along for the collections. Kristy held her tongue, knowing Dallas could be unpredictable and Marcus would punish her. The next stop was the farmer's market and Dallas found a spot nearby and got off the bike, I'll hold the cash and get a lemonade while you shop ok?" He smiled and pressed money into her hand, it was more than enough to get anything she might want.

Lynn smiled at Dallas. "Thank you." She said softly giving him a soft quick kiss on the lips. She spent a good amount of time in the market before walking back with two bags of supplies, "I have everything!" She says happily holding up the two bags, fresh vegetables pork chops and some fresh spices were in the bags. She hoped it was good enough for everyone. She knew she could make it taste amazing but everyone liked different things. Pork however was a less bloody meat and so she hoped she could handle it best.

They set the food on the bike and rode off for the den, Dallas doubled back once when he thought they were being followed. Pulling up outside they took the food into the kitchen and he then took the bag upstairs. This had been a very successful home while they were here. It was sad they would be leaving it soon, it was the kinda place you could raise kids, or it was before they got there. So many other things the back could do rather than sell and run drugs, considering how many other clubs got busted for dealing they were playing with fire.

Lynn took the food inside and went straight into the kitchen. She would have to soak the meat for a while to get the right taste she was looking for. Besides Marcus probably wanted nothing to do with her now that she had made such a big show during the full moon. He would probably take Shelia again. Which wasn't a real problem for Lynn. Lynn just wanted to sleep in a bed alone for a night or two. Too much had gone on as of late for her liking.

Later as dinner was almost finished Kristy breezed into the kitchen, Lynn there are customers. And she walked right out the back door without even stopping. She didn't like leaving just yet, she had given Marcus the pictures to use against the professor for even more money. The short man would either tell his bitch of a wife about the affair or pay what Marcus wanted. And for her good performance, she felt it was beneath her to serve patrons at this dog rot bar.

Lynn growled, but there wasn't much she could do... so she grabbed some menu's and went out into the bar. She had already served the pack, so now she needed to serve the customers she could eat after she was finished. She often didn't have a lot of time for herself. Kristy's arrogance was often to blame for that as well. Lynn didn't usually mind serving people but these bars were catered to big burly men who liked crap food and watered down beer. Lynn didn't much care for those tpes of men.

The man sitting at the bar was a little older, graying in the temples and dressed in a flannel shirt with a clove cigarette in his mouth. He put a zippo lighter in his mouth and took a drag off the clove and smiled. "A menu, I figured from what I heard you ate what the talented chef here cooked and like it. But, before I look could I get a draft budweiser?" he asked holding her eyes in his hazel eyes. Something told Lynn he wasn't like the regulars from around here.

"I do have the daily special." Lynn said softly beofre filling a mug with the beer he asked for. Setting it in front of him gently she really didn't like the vibe she was getting from this guy. "let me know what you have decided on." Lynn said before checking on everyone else at the bar. The tables was Shelia's area to cover because Lynn needed to cook. She couldn't wait and cook so it only made sense the way it was done though with Kristy running off out the back door and not helping tonight Lyn was gonna have to pull a little extra weight and cover the counter.

"Special will do nicely, except might sound weird, but can I get a coke with it. Something about beer and a meal never set right with me." he asked quietly. "I heard this place turned around in the last couple months and wanted to see what all the hubbub was about." Taking another drag he ashed into the tray and looked at his fellow patrons. "Seems like a real nice place with a very nice bartender/cook."

"Alright I'll be right out with it." Lynn said softly walking into the back she grabbed a plate and loaded it up with the porckchops and special sauce, the vegetables and the spicy rice that goes with it. Walking back out she set the plate down and got him a cup of pop he asked for as well. "I hope you like it." She said with a smile before heading back into the kitchen, she wanted to eat but she needed to take care of the other orders first so she got to work on the other bar goers.

Once everything was taken care of Lynn got a chance to eat as well. After everything the new guy stuck around for a little while and even after flashing a wad of cash opened up a tab. "So, that was some of the best porkchops I ever had. So, you one of those prodigys like Puck or that fella that says "BAM" all the time? Forgive me I don't really know yer name sweetheart, you don't have a name tag or nuthin." He lit another cigarette and took the last swallow of his beer.

"No I just like to cook a lot. My names Lynnette." Lynn said with a smile, she wasn't sure why this man was so curious but it wasn't the first time she had been asked these questions. She was obviously a better chef then those who would usually cook in a bar. besides he had cash to burn and so Lynn felt being nice wouldn't cost a thing to her. She was done cooking for now and all she had to do was take car of the bar. This would be her job until closing and then she would clean the dishes and the kitchen. Of course usually Kristy took care of the bar, but Lynn didn't feel like getting into it over something like this.
