Haldir of Lothlorien
fearless into war he went
rays of gold call out to him,
guardian of the Galadhrim.
Haldir, proud he was to fight
Haldir with his noble might.
Onwart into darkning land,
strength in heart and bow in hand.
To Helmsdeep the troops he led,
'in defense of hope', he said.
Elves and Men would stand as one,
from the moment war begun.
Through the night i called his name,
but from his voice no answer came.
Haldir! Haldir! Loud and clear,
Haldir for thy life i fear!
Haldir born of elvenkind,
has thee gone before thy time?
Cold wind blows trough leaf and tree,
Haldir what has become of thee?
Whispering voices speak of fear,
on Golden Mallorn fell a tear.
What has become of Haldir the Fair?
For he comes not and i dispair.
Mournfull is the tale they tell,
in Hornburg by the sword he fell.
There he lays beneath the rain,
a ray of light, darkness has slain.
Silence speaks where once dwelleth song,
grief strikes Caras Calladhon.
Days grow cold like winter's frost
a shining star the sky has lost.
Haldir with his voice so fair,
star-lit eyes and golden hair.
Like the strong Mallorn he stood,
Haldir of the Golden Wood.
What its about? Well isnt it obvious? *smirks*
If this strange obsession of writting poems about Haldir's death...really really scary...
O.O' Linn Scarlett
Of old he was an elvenking
of whom the harpers sadly sing:
his childern choose a mortal life
by orcs was killed his lovely wife.
Fair Celebrian she lost all hope
and left rivendells slope.
Her love had faded away
in Middle-Earth she could not stay.
His hope was fading away
but in his elvenhome he had to stay.
For his childern choose a mortal life
by orcs was killed his lovely wife.
The elvenmaiden Evenstar
rode away with Telcontar.
By becomming Aragorn's loving wife
Arwen had forsaken her immortal life.
His hope had faded away,
but in his elvenhome he had to stay.
For his childern choose a mortal life
by orcs was killed his lovely wife.
Elrohir and Elladan, his young twin sons,
fought for the freedom of middle-earth.
But into darkness fell their star,
they lost their lifes in battle far.
His hope had faded long ago
and to the Undying lands he would go.
For his childern choose a mortal life
by orcs was killed his lovely wife.
A ruin is now
where Imladris once was.
Remembered in stories of old,
the ones bards sadly told.
And in songs harpers sadly sing:
of old he was an elvenking,
his childeren choose a mortal life
by orcs was killed his lovely wife.
He left these shores long ago
but still
we remember Elrond Peredhil.
-rather obvious neh?-
