Scout - Amethyst
Good Bond
Scout leaned over to cup the cool water into his hands. He stood ankle deep in the gentle lake with his pants rolled up to his knees. His shoes, discarded long ago were lying by the bank sprinkled with sand. The blue-haired young man splashed the water in his hands onto his face and let out a happy sigh and then straightened fully. He grinned broadly up at the blue sky above, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his skin and the cool breeze that tickled his wet face and neck.
Sometimes it was annoying living outside of the main city—their manor was several miles out in the forest, secluded, rather, off-limits—for
bidden. King Ankei had made it very clear that no one is to disturb his little brother and his family without good reason. Yami wasn’t very well-liked as it was, so Kaelin and he had decided it was best to move the family away… Away from all the stares, the hateful words and the hostile environment.
It was a hassle sometimes going to the city for things like school, groceries or anything in general… But, Scout wouldn’t change that for anything in the world. There was something so comforting all snuggled up in some cozy forest, away from all the noise. Here birds nested right outside the manors window, wildlife was often venturing right through the garden, and the fishing—it was the best. The lake was probably one of his favorite places in the world.
The young man turned back towards the bank, but suddenly jumped—visibly started. “Whoa! Amethyst! I didn’t even see you there. When did you get there?”
Amethyst was sitting quietly on a smooth boulder on a slightly elevated part of land that was flourishing with long wavering green grass. The white-haired man was sitting quietly, his hands folded in his lap. His white robes were flowing and his long wavy hair was fluttering gently with the wind. The sun was hitting him so powerfully that all the white seemed to be glowing in a heavenly matter. A smile slowly crept onto his lips , “I’ve been here the entire time, Scout. You’re the one that trampled over here, scaring away the family of swans I was so enjoying the company of.”
Scout grinned back slowly, itching the back of his head. “Oh yeah? Sorry ‘bout that… I would have been more quiet had I known you were here.” Not trying to muffle his approach, Scout sloshed his way over to his little brother and then climbed up the ledge. “This is kind of my little sanctuary. As your big brother I have to fight you out of my territory.”
Amethyst raised an eyebrow at the other man as he approached him. “You wouldn’t dare touch me.”
“You may be taller than me, Amethyst… but it wouldn’t stop me from throwing your pretty-boy ass into that there lake.” Scout clapped his hands together, leaning forward. ”I surely hope you can swim, Ammy.”
It was probably one of the strangest scenes to behold. With a few quick jerks and using Amethysts’ weight and height to his advantage, Scout had launched his little brother right into the lake below.
Lucky for Amethyst, Scout knew the lake well and tossed him into a deep area where the current had brushed the soil down deeply. Unfortunately for Scout, Amethyst had a grip on him that was like an alligators teeth on its prey. Both brothers toppled into the water.
Scout surfaced laughing hard, flicking his head back and forth to shoo his bangs from his eyes. His laughter became a roar of pure obnoxiousness when Amethyst came clawing to the surface—his white bangs plastered to his face as he came gasping up to the surface.
“Y-You…You…” Amethyst angrily brushed the hair from his eyes, looking absolutely beyond himself with shock. “Why would you do that!?”
Scout snorted and reached over to muss his brothers hair. Amethyst angrily swatted the others hand away, “You just looked too damn godly over there. It made me jealous.”
“So you threw me into the lake?” Amethyst asked, exasperated.
Scout snorted, “Yeah, so now you just look all wet and miserable. Had to bring you down a few notches.”
However, Scout found it incredibly amusing how Amethyst now just looked wet, annoyed and godly.
Funny how that worked.

A/N: Story Bond 13/81 of a project I'm working on.
I've noticed that when I write at my house I'm really easily distracted by family, animals and the TV. I'm trying to focus when I'm writing these things, but man... it's freaking hard compared to the dorms D:
Scout is playful and really mischievous.. I think I've mentioned that before. He would throw a fully-dressed, relaxing, rather innocent Amethyst into a lake just so he could see him get a little ticked off. Scout can be playfully mean like that.
Amethyst, being a fallen angel, still sometimes gets a 'heavenly' glow about him when he's at peace with himself. Occasionally his chakra will let out a little of his powers and it looks like he has a silhouette of wings, or sometimes he'll just be levitating a little off the ground without noticing. He's interesting. I like 'em
