A small room set in the winding tower that leads up to the clocktower, it has a single flat-screen t.v. and several game systems. There's a simple futon set up against the far wall in front of which lay piles of game cases and empty food containers. Elyria tends to come up here when she tires of being alone in such a large place. There are posters resting against the stone walls to give the room some lavish decoration, and a large electrical heater near the futon because the room tends to get cold. There is a door leading out to a balcony that is only partially railed off, and there are two chairs sitting out here.
It has an extravogant view of nearly the entire town and part of the woods.
"It's a bit messy..." Elyria murmured, "But it's comfortable."
"Messiness doesn't bother me" Gabriel said, smiling widely.
"Ah, well, glad to hear that." Elyria smiled, "There's a bunch of games up here for the system," She waved her hand in the direction of the t.v., "And there's a balcony just outside..."
Gabriel looked around at all the places Elyria was mentioning. His gaze rested on the balcony. "Am I able to go out there?"
"Of course," Elyria nodded, "It's plenty safe, especially for someone with wings."
Gabriel grinned and went out onto the balcony and looked around. "Wow"
"It is a nice view." Elyria said, moving out to join him on the balcony, "One of the reasons I'm up here so often..."
Gabriel nodded. He sat in one of the chairs on the blacony and continued staring at the view. "My dad would be proud of this town" he muttered quietly.
Elyria sat on the other chair and looked around, "Proud?"
Gabriel nodded and looked at Elyria. "It's his town... WAS his town... I'm the mayor's son" he smirked slightly, glancing out over the town once more.
"Mayor's son? Wow, I didn't know that..." Elyria blinked in mild surprise, "But why the past tense?"
Gabriel nodded, his smirk fading. "Yea.. he's dead. Assassinated" he sighed deeply. "It's my town now.. but I don't want it.. it's too much pressure" he looked at Elyria. "That's why I asked to live here... it's big enough, I can hide from all those people needing me to do stuff for the town"
"Oh I see," Elyria said with a small nod, "Quite understandable
... why can't you just tell them you don't want it and be done with it though?"
"I don't have anyone wanting to take over place of mayor. I've asked around, held elections... nothing" Gabriel sighed deeply once more. He gazed at the town. "Besides, my dad would hate me if he knew I gave up his town" he looked up at the sky.
"Ah," Elyria said, "Sorry... I'd hate to have something thrust upon me like that..."
"Its ok... I'll just hide out up here, if that's alright" he smiled at Elyria.
"It's fine," Elyria said, "And if anything, there is an escape through the woods..." She grinned and pointed.
Gabriel smiled widely. "Thanks" he answered, looking in the direction she had pointed.
"There's no need for thanks." Elyria shook her head.
"Oh, but you're letting me stay here... I need to thank you for that. If I didn't, that'd be impolite" Gabriel said softly, smiling.
"Yes, but you've said it more than enough," Elyria replied with a soft smile, "and yet you keep saying it more..."
"I'm sorry" Gabriel said, blushing lightly and looking down.
"No need for apologies either," Elyria murmured softly, "It's getting late... Should probably head to school shortly..."
Gabriel sighed. "The dreaded school" he muttered, smirking lightly. "Good idea.."
Elyria nodded, "No point in making a bad impression on the first day."
Gabriel nodded. "True..." he looked at Elyria fast. "Don't tell anyone that I'm the mayor's son.. please.. I don't need that kind of publicity"
Elyria shook her head, "I promise that I won't tell anyone." She said softly.
Gabriel smiled softly, his eyes lginting softly at Elyria. "Thanks"
"There you go thanking me again..." Elyria tsked with a small chuckle.
"Sor... heh" Gabriel started to apologize, then stopped fast, smirking lightly.
"Starting to learn," Elyria laughed softly, turning her gaze towards the woods.
Gabrile grinned, blushing lightly.
"Well, I think I'm gonna head down," Elyria said, stretching as she stood.
"I shall join you" Gabriel said softly, standing and taking one last glance out at the city before standing and looking at Elyria.
Elyria nodded, "Okay then," She smiled and opened the door that lead into the keep.
Gabriel followed close behind but stopped fast. He turned and went back out onto the balcony and looked down and around. He listened intently, then turned to glance at Elyria. "Come here... tell me if you hear something or if I'm going crazy..." he muttered.
Elyria frowned and made her way over, looking over the side of the deck. She listened intently, "Sounds like... someone might be hurt..." She murmured.
Gabriel nodded. "I knew I wasn't going crazy" He looked around. "But where?"
"I'm not sure... somewhere down on the ground..." Elyria frowned, "Maybe closer to the woods..."
Gabriel turned and started to head out the door fast. "We need to get down there... to help!" he said.
Elyria nodded quickly, "Right!" She said, racing in after him.
Gabriel stopped and let Elyria go past him. "Yoiu lead the way, I'll only get lost"
Elyria nodded, "Right!" She said again, moving quickly down the stairs, "Don't get left behind!"
Gabriel ran after Elyria. "I doubt I will!!" he exclaimed.
Elyria chuckled softly and continued moving, wending her way out to the grounds. Elyria's Castle
Elyria tugged the door open and headed over towards the door near the balcony. She slipped outside and looked down over the edge cautiously, trying to catch sight of what the men were doing below.
Gabriel, after a few minutes came up into the keep to join Elyria. "What's going on down there now?" he whispered.
"I'm not sure." Elyria said softly, "I can't really see much from this angle... but it can't be good...."
"We'll just hole up in the castle for a while" Gabriel answered, sitting.
"Yeah... we've got plenty of supplies," Elyria nodded, "And the doors and windows are thick enough that they should withstand a lot of battering..."
"I'm not too worried... you're alright though... right?" Gabriel asked suddenly.
Elyria blinked, cocking her head to the side in mild confusion, "I'm fine, why?"
"I saw what you did to them.. that was amazing.. getting the scythe back from that guy like that..." Gabriel smiled lightly.
"Oh.... that..." Elyria blushed, "They just... made me mad, you know... all of them ganging up on Damion like that..."
Gabriel nodded, still smiling. "Damion likes to think he can handle things like that.. but he knows he can't! I swear, he's gonna kill me one of these days!"
"Not while I'm around!" Elyria proclaimed, thrusting her fist into the air energetically before giving a slight wince, "Ow..."
"What? What's wrong??" Gabriel asked fast.
"My hand...." Elyria said quietly, drawing it closer to herself again.
"What happened to it?" Gabriel asked.
"I think I must have cut it..." Elyria replied.
"Let me see" Gabriel smiled softly, taking Elyria's hand and holding it gently. He put his hand on hers and closed his eyes, chanting quietly under his breath. A light seemed to come from his hand as he attempted to heal Elyria's hand.
"It won't work..." Elyria murmured, "There's an odd sort of barrier that prevents any healing magics from aiding me... I thank you for the effort though..." She turned her gaze to the skies.
Gabriel frowned slightly and removed his hands from her's. "Sorry... I mean.. nothing" he said, smiling sheepishly.
"It's fine," Elyria shook her head, "I'll just wrap it when we get back inside..."
"Ok" Gabriel smiled. "That I can help you with if you need it" he smiled.
"If you want..." Elyria chuckled softly.
Gabriel smirked. "Come on let's go back downstairs"
Elyria nodded agreeably, "Alright, lets go then," She said, standing.
Gabriel went and held the door open for Elyria.
Elyria murmured a soft thanks as she slipped inside, and turned to wait for him, barring and locking the door once he'd passed through it.
Gabriel smiled and headed downstairs.
Elyria followed, "So much for the first day of school..." She sighed.
Gabriel nodded. "That'll have to wait until we don't get killed for leaving home" he smirked lightly.
"Yeah, I guess." Elyria nodded with a laugh, she entered the third floor landing, "I've a medkit in my room." She said.
Gabriel nodded. "I'll be following you"
Elyria nodded, "It's not far." She said, stepping up to a door just down the hallway and pulling a key from her pocket, she unlocked it and slipped inside. Elyria'sbedroom
