THE UNSEELIE COURT

Everyone is a moon and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody."

-Mark Twain

This will, in time, become the sister-site of the Seelie Court. We have lots of ideas and material, but we have to finish the Light Side first. Sadly. But if you are interested in doing some work on the darker aspects of the fey, message me, [Lankin], and we can talk about it.

So until we have more free time, youll have to settle for the nicer fey. Sorry.

The Unseelie, unlike their Seelie counterparts, do not hold Poetry, Song and Beauty in high regard. They are often ugly, mean brutes, and proud of it. Of course, some of them are even more stunningly beautiful than the Seelies, and those are the most dangerous of them all. That is indeed the word that best describes them: Dangerous. Be they tree-covered trolls who eat humans, or the terrifiying Sidhe out on the Wild Hunt, the Unseelie seldom leave humans unharmed. The darkest period in human existence was the time when the Unseelie Court managed to seize Avalon, and every single, mortal lake suddenly could spout horrors beyond compare.

In a sense, the Seelie and Unseelie are locked in an unending war, but the war is so slow and haphazard that no mortal would call it anything more than a slightly violent disagreement. There are few major battles, and most of the violence consits of young knights who set out to vanquish evil. Yet in the shadows around their queen, the Unseelie plot and connive even worse than their light cousins, and sometimes they manage to agree enough to make a unified move. Then the sun darkens....

For one of the more popular pastimes among the Unseelie nobility, read about The Wild Hunt
