Valhãlla Sylvène

Birth Name: Mirallestis Raven Sylvène Màhrkōnr
Title: Baroness Mirallestis Sylvène Màhrkōnr of Ravenhēn.
Prefered/acquired Name: Valhãlla Sylvène
Nickname: Lia [pronounced Lie(rhymes with pie)-Ah (soft A)], and Mira [pronounced similarly].
Username: [Mira Ravenheart]
Race: Her mother was a Moon Elf and her father was a Black Vampire.
Age/Gender: 1024/female
Relgion: Agnostic

Physical Appearance: She has long black hair that she usually wears up and bright blue eyes that change red when she is hunting, angered or Thirsty (which happens rarely, but does happen). She is happiest at night, but the light doesn’t hurt her. Her skin is fair, pale but without a blemish. She is youthful, appearing only (as a human would count the years) in her early twenties. She is slim, graceful, lithe and quick. She is a good fighter but she fights with speed more than strength. She prefers light weapons, her twin elvish daggers and she is deadly with a bow. She wears a long, dark, hooded, cloak.

Personality: She is generally perceived as cold for she has a cool disposition. She doesn’t show approval, affection or fear lightly but she has a passionate soul. She has taken only one lover in her life of over a thousand years and fears love almost as fiercely as some fear her. She is dangerous, and not quick to make friends. She locks her emotions inside of herself and cares not to show emotions to those that are not worth her time. She is arrogant, but if you can crack her shell she is warm under the blizzard of her defenses. She knows a lot about the Realms of Nyan and the Magic Words and thus is an important ally to have.

A Brief History: Lady Alleinna Sylvène, a Moon Elf of some political standing in Sylvànēn previous to her marriage, married into the Royal House of Ravenhēn. She became the Baroness Alleinna Sylvène Raven and refused to drop her previous surname of Sylvène. Twelve years later, the Baron Raven (the King's brother) died, leaving the Moon Elf with nearly all of his lands and riches and the title of Baroness.. but no child. Claiming grief and weariness of heart, the Mystic gracefully withdrew from the politics of Ravenhēn and travelled the Realms of Nyan, leaving her lands in what she felt were capable hands.

It later came to pass that the Baroness Alleinna Sylvène chose another royal lover, this time from Sévèrin. His name was Domadred Màhrkōnr, cousin to Nathaniel and Vincent Màhrkōnr, the Princes of Darkness. Neither lover was dissowned officially, but their union was looked down upon by the Mystics, the Vampires, as well as the Humans from Ravenhēn. It was this union that birthed a half-blooded child - a daughter that Alleinna named Mirallestis.

After her birth, Alleinna and Domadred's relationship became strained. They fell into more and more verbal sparring matches, as both were strong-willed and intelligent, and though efforts were made for seperation but the couple had shared too much important political and personal information for their union to end without a death. And so a Death came for Alleinna in the form of an "unfortunate" and "accidental" death when the Thirst had possessed Domadred. Although she had the heart of a lionness and a mind to match, the Moon Elf Baroness did not have the natural predatory instict that did the Vampire Princeling she had invited to her bed those years ago.

After her mother's death, Mira was homeless at only fifteen. After that incident, she took to traveling the world of Nyan. She had nowhere to go, no-one to turn to. Farm families or trades people would take her in for a time, but she could not control the Thirst. Could not understand it. And so she was thrown out again and again until she stopped turning to people for aid or answers. For the longest time she traveled alone in total loathing of what and who she was, but she overcame this self-loathing with the discovery of the power within her - the power to wield the Magic Words. She turned her attention to the Words and to revenge.

Alleinna had had no love for her daughter. She had never coddled her nor given her gifts or praise. In fact, she was horribly ashamed of the half-breed she had given birth to and was very conscious of the life she had condemned the quiet raven-haired girl to lead. While Alleinna avoided the responsibility of her daughter, Domadred did not. He did not coddle Mirallestis, but he taught her many things. Like steel he guided her early years as if he had some use for her in the future. She never could see what use that might be... and after the unnatural death of her mother, Mira no longer cared to find out.

The more she traveled; the more she walked; the more she learned; the more she came to hate her father for what he had made her, for what he was, and for what he had done to the Baroness Alleinna. Mirallestis set herself a very dangerous goal. She would find her Domadred. And kill him. The hunt, and her intence study of the Magic Words, lasted centuries. Along the way she earned a reputation as a Vampire Hunter to be feared and became one of the few Mistresses of the Magic Words. She also met a young Sentarian named Khan with whom she fell in love... and whom Domadred killed. Alone once more and eager for revenge, she searches for the ancient Eye of the Dragon. She had heard its call.

Other: She has a Pendant which she has bourn with her for many years of her life. Her Master had given it to her when it had been she the student. It is of silver and vaguely heart shaped. Snakelike designs of Silver and Iron adorn it. She has never opened it.

On her left hand, she wears a bejeweled and draconically ornate item. It begins as a metallic bracelet, presented as dragon wings wrapping around her wrist. Between the wings is the body of the miniature dragon, decorated with rubies. The tail continues up her arm, spiraling almost to her elbow. The dragon's head stretches up, its jaws gaping to bite the ruby that is the jewel displayed on a ring that encircles her middle finger on that hand. The Dragon's neck is a dark iron chain. The metal is surprisingly lenient. She can bend her arm easily. It is magic, and helps her wield and control the magic of the Ancient Words (see The Magic of an Ancient Tongue)
On her right hand, she wears a gauntlet of the same mysterious metal. It has extendable spikes on the end. She is never unarmed. It is not a heavy battle gauntlet, but of the light metal that is silver in colour. It is well crafted and it's not the first thing you would notice if you looked at her. She has lost the other gauntlet through time and finds that she doesn't really need it.
