Name:
Vanden Lancia

Gender:
Male

Age:
48 years old

Descended from:
The Titan Iapetus

Hue:
Ember orange, like that of smoldering coals.

Abilities:
He has an uncanny ability to kill anyone, anyhow. Whether it be sniping from an impossible distance with a variation of weapons, having great timing with explosives, or strangling someone with a spoon--if the person can die, and someone wants them dead for a good reason, he's your guy. Additionally, he has the ability to take away immortality, rendering a God mortal, but only once and the process kills him.

Appearance:
See picture above. He stands at 6'2", and is built primarily of well-honed muscle. He looks incredibly good for his age and prides himself on his clean, professional, and healthy appearance.

Personality:
He is the epitome of confidence. He has a lifetime of experience as a man of power and it shows in his every muscle. This doesn't mean he doesn't like to smile or laugh, though. He loves to have fun and be relaxed, even though he never really relaxes.

Distinguishing marks or traits:
A spear tattoo that runs the length of both arms. The point begins at the back of his right forearm, leading into the shaft of the spear that runs over his shoulder and back to his left arm, where it ends at the back of his left forearm. Written in Latin along the shaft of the spear are the words Omnes morimur, which translates to "All men must die."

History:
Vanden is not from Athens, and it is obvious when he speaks. He came to this small town in hiding, under the Witness Protection Program, after a lifetime of very lucrative professional crime. This is not the first time he's been relocated, but he hopes it's the last.

Other:
Being a fan of weapons, he always manages to have at least one on his person, hidden from sight.

Descended from Iapetus, the titan of mortality and craftsmanship.

Iapetus is the titan of mortality and craftsmanship. He was exiled to Tartarus with the other Titans after the Titanomachy battle. Not much is known about him outside of his genealogy. "Iapetus ("the Piercer") is the one Titan mentioned by Homer in the Iliad (8.478–81) as being in Tartarus with Cronus. He is a brother of Cronus, who ruled the world during the Golden Age. His name derives from the word iapto ("wound, pierce") and usually refers to a spear, implying that Iapetus may have been regarded as a god of craftsmanship, though scholars mostly describe him as the god of mortality."

2017-07-20 [ancienteye]: Cool! :D (That "making gods mortal" thing combined with him being titan-descended instead of god-descended makes me question if you intend to keep this character alive until the end, though...)

2017-07-20 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: *giggles maniacally and rubs hands together*

2017-07-20 [ancienteye]: That doesn't help ease my suspicions.

Like.

At all.

2017-07-20 [Synirria]: Lmao
