On the streets of a small, forsaken city was a bar selling illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, and the recently banned tobacco. Despite its location and size, the tavern was crowded, as there were not many in the area, as in, the country.
After a man had challenged another in an arm-wrestling match to settle a debt (feeling generous, as he put it), a small competition had been unofficially started, However, one figure in the corner of the bar who sat smoking a cigarette, did not bother to join in the commotion.
"Hey, you, what are you doing sitting all alone, afraid you'll lose your arm? Or all the money you own?" the so far unbeaten champion called. Easily over six feet and with enough muscle to spare for six men, he taunted the stranger.
Instead of backing off as he had expected, the stranger stood up, and sat at the table across from him without a word, features concealed under a hood.
"Feeling lucky? You better be..." he continued, pleased with the challenge. Money was passed around as bets were made.
The two locked arms, hands clasped. The strangers hand half the size of the competitors. At first there seemed to be a struggle, much to the surprise of the champion. After nearly half a minute of the deadlock passed, the stranger, as if they had apparently became bored of the match, snapped the others hand down as easily as if there was no pressure. The man's arm came down hard, with the snap of breaking bone.
The audience had suddenly hit dead silence, as the stranger walked back to their table, but for their benefit, pulled down their hood. A girl. No more than nineteen if their guess was correct.
"Any one else?" she challenged. Seeing no volunteers, she leaned back once more into the shadows, pulling on her hood.

Outside of the bar, a`creature walked the streets and sniffed around for a scrap of food that might have been dropped. It looked up when it got to the window and looked into the bar to see why it was so quiet in the bar.

A young man walked through the streets alone. Wearing a black shortsleave button down collered shirt, the buttons opened to reveal a red and black yin yang t-shirt, and black pants, he wandered on his day off. Not many people pasted him on the dingy road, a thin cresent moon lighting his way. As he turned the corner of a building he heard an uproar, then it became quiet. It was a run down looking bar set in between the other buildings of the city. He ran his hands through his black hair, pulling through any tangles. There must've been a fight. He sighed deeply. I guess I'll go break it up. Damn, gotta work on my day off. As he approched the bar he thought he saw a large shadow outside the window.

Crystal Nova sat back in her chair, enjoying her cigarette. She found no pleasure in the stunned and angry faces of the men, she had seen too much in her time to be amused by such pitful things. Far too much. There had been a time when she had been the leader of such men. Looked down upon for her gender and age, yet revered all the same. She had once maintained such moralles and honor. Honor, a word she had long forgotten and left behind, with her past of glory. Now she had to remain contented with the life of illegal smuggling, and life with those, as some would put it, "underworlders". But someday that would change. She had felt a pull of something of the old. Something she had not known since before the Apocalypse.
Recently she had been having dreams, no, visions, of something, calling her as if pulling her back to the past. The laws of ageing that she had cheated. She guessed that the reason for he short life-span of humans in comparison to the elves was to ensure that they valued it more. She had long since lost the purpose and meanig in life. Yet why did she live on?
A sudden feeling swept over her, a sense of once great power, the power that she now only ever felt in the necklace, the thing keeping her powerful and unageing. Magic. Or at least something similar to it. Turning to the window, she glanced out, and caught the silhouette of...
The cigarette fell from her hand. Standing up, she strode to the door and paused, ignoring the eyes on her. Pulling out a weapon, one that she had created with the help of a colleague, and had never patented due to the chance of it being dismissed and outlawed as a threat to humanity. A sniper rifle, loaded with not bullets, but the power of gamma. If would pass through other objects without harming them, however kill the unfortunate being on the other side. Otherwise it provided as a deadly weapon. Holding the weapon pointing upwards close to her for a moment, she took a breath and turned to the direction of the large figure she had seen outside of the window, gun pointed at its chest.

I knew this would be a bad day. He walked calmly over to the figure who had just steped out of the bar, a gun pointed at some unfortunate animal. He couldn't tell what it was in the dim shadow, but he couldn't let people roam the streets, shoting animals as they pleased. Pulling the emblem of his rank out and holding it in front of him he called out. "You there. Pedestrian, as an offical of the Earth Elites, I order you, lower your weapon."

Instead of lowering her weapon, she pulled out another gun from under her cloak, and trained it at his head without taking her eyes off the beast. "I don't think you'll be wanting me to do that. Have a flashlight on you, since you apparently seem to be blinder then my dead mother?" she said caustically, yet in a calm manner.

He placed his hand on his belt unbuckling the hilt of Eroe, his blade. "Your a real brave one, I've never been talken to like that by someone from around here. Or, are you not from around here." He shook his head not concerned in the least by the gun pointing at his head. "No matter, I still need you to lower your weapon, cause I just happen not to have a flashlight on me." His eyes flickered with their slight golden hue around the edges, a fiery grin spreading across his face. "And I've just been itching for a fight with a scumbag guy like you."

"What, you live on this dump you pass for a planet? You must live a pampered life if I pass for a scumbag, and this is considered a challenge." She waved her hand with the gun in a bored manner. "Besides, I have nothing against you, at least personally. If you had decided to take a different job like your mother told you, I wouldn't be pointing this thing at you, and I wouldn't have had to hurt you. Besides? What law stated by someone other than the drunk who manages this sector from the Elites says you can't wield a weapon? If you haven't known, he's probably gone against more laws than all those thugs in the bar put together. And what unfortunate thing did you do to get yourself landed patolling in a rathole like this?

He chewed on his lower lip, right hand twitching slightly with anger. "If you must know, I do live here. And I consider any man who goes around killing inocent animals a scumbag. For your own saftey I advise you not to talk of my mother, for I am easily offended. Besides I am a lacky to no man." He griped the hilt of a non exestant sword in his hand harder, the torso and shoulder plates of a battle suit appering on his body. He growled, "Obviously, you know nothing of the hardships, and work I had to go through to gain my rank in the army, from living in a place like this."

Nova laughed silently to herself as she remembered how she she climbed from a page to the commander of the unforgiving Dark Knights - the first woman commander and the youngest in the history of the Dark Knights, not broken to the end of their Legion centuries ago, before the Apocalypse. "You bet you have to work in places like these to get a rank at all. Congratulations, you have made the army. Don't get cocky with me now, I am not your average man, what ever you deem one."

The creature that was sitting by the window took a step back and whined. She hated when people fought for no reason. She hated when people automatically attacked her because of her size and what she was. Why did people have to fight so much?

Lowering the gun pointed at the man, she reached into her cloak and pulled out a powerful flashlight, smaller than her thumnail, and shined it on the creature. She sensed dark magic about the beast. Nova waited for the man's reaction.

Nagin stumbled back, seeing the dragonoid creature. He sensed something strange about it, but he pushed the feeling aside. "I..is that a dragon, it cant be, there not real." A steel blade wound itself out of the hilt in his hand, forming a strong katana instantaniously out of fear. He looked to the man, the light now illuminating around the area arond him. He gasped in confusion. The man was a woman. "Your a woman." he stuttered.

The creature took another step back at the sight of the sword. She crouched, ready to run, but when the man figured out that the other person was a woman, she tilted her head to the side in curiousity.

A high school looking kid turned around the corner to go home and stopped at the strange sight he saw. He was behind the dragonoid and didn't notice it. He was admitedly a bit scared because it look like the gun was pointing in his direction.

"What you thought girls can't play dirty? Hey kid! this is none of your buisiness. Get out of the way, tell no one, and I'll let you go alive," she called out.

"Excuse me but I'm not the one pointing a gun at an innocent person!" He protested with the gun still pointing in his general direction, "and I don't neccisarily like being threatened!"

"Kid, she said get out of here. That thing could be dangerous. I order you to get out of here!

The creature turned her head towards the kid, sniffing the air. A rumbling sound echoes form deep inside of her. Using the sound waves, she 'sees' the kid and whines softly, hoping that the other two dont hurt him.

"Don't turn around, just walk away." A second after the words were out of her lips, she realized her mistake.

"It's attacking him" he yelled, dashing toward the boy, grabbing him, and rolling away from pup.

In his mad rush, Nagin had pushed Nova to the side just as she fired at the beast. The laser missed, shooting instead uselessly at the sky. Regaining control, she glared at him, feeling almost sorry for the kid who probably assumed he was being tackled and arrested.

"Whats going on here!" The kid said getting up and walking over to the dragonoid. "I admit it's a strange looking creature but why are your trying to kill it? I mean its not the deadliest looking thing around, this planet anyway." He said kneeling down to it his senses on tune now that he knew it was dangerous around.

Nagin cliped the hilt of the sword back on his belt. "He's right you know, now that I look at it it does seem kinda frightened" He turned to the young man. "Whats your name boy?"

"Isn't it common courtesy to give your name first. You may be an elite but we're in a dark alley and I'm still a little on edge." he said patting the dragonoid on the head and standing up. Knowing that his crystal would protect him if the creature tried to attack, or the women tried to shoot, it would protect him and the creature.

There was something strange about the kid. Refusing to give out his name? Although a milenium had passed, she did not give out her full name. Also, the crystal of his... "Hey, kid, what is that around your neck?" Walking closer, she demanded, eyes wide, "Where'd you get the gem?"

"It's an ancient family heirloom and a sort of good luck charm, why?" He said wondering if she knew it's secret.

She thought about the crystal nova hanging around her own neck, and its amazing powers. She had been named after the necklace that she had been deemed to inherit since her birth. Feeling the power coming from the boy's gem, she wondered what powers it could hold. "A family heirloom, you say? Might I ask your family name?"

"You shoot at me then ask my name!?" He squeezed his temple saying something in an old language he learned from his grandpa under hs breath. "Look unless you put down the gun I'm not telling you squat. Heck even if you do put down the gun I'm not giving you or anyone my last name."

She smiled. Yes, a descendant of the old indeed. At last. "Dont be touchy kid, and I didnt shoot at you, I shot at the creature who happened to be behind you. And what's with this big secret of your last name." Turning to Nagin, she asked "and why are you working with me? You were about to kill me ten minutes ago!"

Good, it's calm. The kid thought. "Well as for me you shot in the direction I was in which is where the umm... creature was and as for my last name, that information can be used against a person easily these days and especially in town and on this planet. Not one of the safest places." He said shrugging.

"Wait, whats with all the secret names, and intresting necklaces." Nagin turned to the woman. "Sorry milady" he said bowing to her. "I did not realise you where not one of those unruly men from the bar, though you are strange indeed. My name is Nagin, from the Atenkho clan. It is a plesure to meet you both. Now lets all stop fighting." Crazy, their all crazy. But hey, I guess thats how I like the people around me to be. Makes life more interesting.

Pup looked around the kid at the other two and sniffed the kids necklace. She sneezed from the smell and rubbed her nose on the ground to itch it. She then went up and sniffed Nova and then Nagin and wagged her tail slightly.

Nova recoiled as Pup sniffed at her, giving her a distrustful glance. Backing away to safe distance, she addressed Nagin, with a slight nod of her head and a quirk of her lip, "Call me Nova." She extended a hand.

Stifling a laugh as she steped away, he took her hand. "Nova, peculiar, but a decidedly nice name. Nice to meet you."

Pup tilted her head at Nova and said "N-n-nova-a." She hummed to herself in satisfaction that she still remembered how to talk for the most part.

"You...can speak?" Nova asked, taken aback for a moment. "Tell me, what happened to your race after Maradore, the so-called Dragonqueen led you to the "new world"? You are an evil race, and you have returned to the world. Mutated." She threatened to Pup, rifle pointed once more at the creature, a look of death in her eyes. She ignored any reaction from the others.

"When we went to the new world, everything was perfect, or so we thought. Then we were.....hit with a plague, a sickness, in the new world. It.....changed us, made us more......violent, or at least most of us. Some of us escaped from the worst of it, but our Queen got infected the most. She turned into a most vile monster....." Pup looked down in sadness and guilt, her body shivering slightly from the memories of what happened. "We had to leave there. Some wanted to stay, the ones that enjoyed the violent and evil feeling that ran through them, but the Queen wanted to come back and conquer. She wanted so many things....."

"What are you?" Nagin shook his head in confusion. "No, this cant be. Your an animal, It must be this air. Its finally getting to me." At Nova's statement he gaped at her. "What do you mean "new world", what is Maradore, and whats going on here." His eyes narrowed with suspition, his hand going to his blade without thought. "And how do you know so much about it. What are you hiding?"

"Nothing, everything... Ask no questions and receive no lies..." she replied, keeping her focus on pup. "Do you know anything of what the queen's motives are? Anything? This may save the lives of countless."

Nagin interupted her question, steping between her and pup. "Ask nothing. Ask nothing! You expect me to just sit here and know nothing while this conversation could determine countless lives. No, I think not. Tell me what you know!"

Eyes glinting mischieviously, she faced the boy. "I won't, but the kid probably can..."

Turning, he looked at the boy. "Is this true?"

Pup looked at all three of them and stated "I am not sure of the Queen's full plan. All I know is that she plans on gathering an army and infecting them with the illness."

"I only know the story passed down along with this necklace. I never really thought it was true until now." The boy said walking closer to everyone feeling a bit safer. "My name is Theo by the way." Now that everyone had said their names he felt a little better about giving his own. "So the stuff about dragons and the apocolypse are all real?" He asked Nova smiling mostly at the fact that something exiting was happening in his life for once.

"The apocolypse, that sounds familiar" he looked to the boy. "You mean when the world was to end, thats real? Dragons too, wow this day is turning out beter than I thought." He turned back to Nova. "Wait, do any of you know if any of the good ancient dragons survived, I would love to meet one of them. It was said that they were masters of knowlage, and wisdom. I would love to learn from one of them. Just think of all they knew.

"For all I know, the Plague were the ancient dragons of good. And I doubt they would be willing to share their wisdom with a highschool kid who I believe is dead late for dinner." Nova smiled humorlessly.

Nagin gazed darkly at Nova, looking her up and down. "From what I can tell Im at least 4 years older than you. And if I decided to learn from a dragon than that is exactly what I'll do! When I want something I get it." He looked around at the assembled group. Sirens began to sound in the distance. "Now follow me."

"When I want something I get it," Nova mimicked under her breath. Now it sounds like grade school. She followed reluctantly, still not bothering to put away her weapon.

Nagin turned into a dark alley. At the end of the alley was a high fence with barbed wire at the top. To his left was a door the same color of the rough stone. Pushing on a spot near the top and to the right, revealed a electronic pad, on which he placed his hand. This activated another pad at waist level where he placed his crest. This made a floting keypad appear before him in which he entered a code. With a bell like chime the door opened. He steped to the side letting the others past first.

After watching intently as Nagin went through the sercurity pass procedures, Nova entered through the fence first, rifle loaded and ready.

Pup followed them past the fence and looked over Nova's sholder to see what was going on. "Is this place going to be dangerous for me?"

Theo followed along anyway There wasn't much to do anyway because his parents only hsee him half the day ever since he graduated. "I'm here." He said to the pup as he walked next to Nova. "So what is this place?"

He looked at the dragon-like creature with a new respect. "No, you will find no danger here." He looked to Theo. "You'll see." Then he politely stepped past them. The door led to a tunnel, which led to another door. After bypassing security systems, similar to the first door, they entered a room with high ceiling. It was lavishly decorated with a 12 by 12 foot T.V on one wall, a long leather couch in front of it. On the wall to the left of the T.V were expensive paintings. A few feet in, the floor rose, two steps leading to a wall-door that was open wide. This room was gigantic, at least 500 feet in any direction from its center, with a ceiling that rose at least as high. Beautiful chandeliers lit the entire room brightly. The floor of this room was of shiny wood, a rare white tiger pelt, with a single plump recliner on it, at the end of the room. A high stone fireplace sat in front of it. The walls all the way up to the ceiling, except for the one spot where the door slid open, and where the fireplace was, were lined with shelves that held books of all shapes, sizes, and colors. In a spot here and there on the shelves, lay a trinket or bobble, which he had acquired in his trips around the world. In the corner of the room a few feet from the wall sat a large wooden desk, new and ancient scrolls clasped in claw-like contraptions that protruded from it. Though, some older, or more rare ones sat open, underneath clear protective cases. A holographic globe bigger than their bodies floated weightlessly in the air high above their heads, giving off a slight glow. In the other corner sat a long mahogany table, with many comfortable chairs, a few books scattered on its surface. As he stepped through the first door into his home he addressed the group, "Welcome to my home." Then he led them to the library-room.

"Nice place you have here," Nova remarked, seeing only the ancient artifacts and scrolls. "You can't get this kind of cash following my trade..." Not to mention spoiled and ignorant of exactly what you have in your hands, and do nothing better with. She reached out gently to pick up a certian book that caught her eye.

Pup stepped in and sniffed around, sneexing when she smelt the tiger fur. Finishing her inspection, she simply stated. "Nice."

He went to a keypad near the door, typing in a code. The globe lowered itself, growing slowly larger. Nagin walked up to it and pointed to to a spot on it, the globe turning into a three dimensional map of the city they were in. "This is where we are now." He clicked the air off to the side, the picture turning back to a globe. He looked to pup. "Now where are the plague."

Pup stepped forward and inspected the globe while humming. "I cannot see this map you are talking about very well, but I believe that this is where they were last." with that she touched a part of the globe with her nose.

Nagin inspected the place that had enlarged. With a start he sighed. "I do not know the place." He looked hopefully at Nova and Theo. "Do you happen to know this place."

"It matters not where they are on this planet, but the very fact that they have come close to this planet itself. Thankfully, they don't seem to have come across the solar system, or Earth yet." She went to the keypad that Nagin had used to lower the globe, and after a close inspection, typed in a code. The map of the globe zoomed out into one of the galaxy of the Milky Way. "Is the Dragonqueen's main lair with in this galaxy? If so, where?"

Pup frowned at this. "I know not where the queens lair is, but where ever it is, it would have to be near a city so she could infect many people without having to move too much. If she moved around too much, she would attract a lot of attention because of her size..."

Nagin pulled his hand softly through his hair, a habit he had developed whenever he was thinking hard. "Sounds plausible. So what should we do?"

"Of what we have to do is uncertain, however that we must act is key. Call everyone, we are on a dragonhunt." Nova smiled roguishly.

"We will need back up. I can provide a platoon of 100 men, no more, and wepons for those who need them." Nagin anounced.

Nova whistled loudly. "Quite a bit of reinforments you have there. I can however provide only one man. However... If you remember from WWIII, he was known as the man who hacked the world."

Thousands of light-years away, NY City, USA, Earth, 12:30 am...

James Cameron walked down an empty street. There had been a time when it was crowded and loud, bustling with hundreds of people. However after the bomb hit, even though a rather small one, the once famed city had been entirely devastated.

He remembered the last time he had been down this alley. To his right used to be a bank, when the fateful day came as a girl, no more than nineteen, had caught him hacking into the bank files to gain some cash, and claimed to know that thos was the least of his crimes. At first he laughed it off, but in the end, he ended up having to take a favor for her in exchange for her silence. If she hadn't had a weapon at the side of his head, he would have shot her there and then.

He later had researched and developed a weapon of pure concentrated gamma power with her, and came to give her his grudging respect. When she offered to open a small private smuggling buisiness, he had accepted, finding no other place in the world in which he belonged.

And then the war hit.

Following the rush of events in which he held a life-debt towards the girl, and following her guidance, he had used his skills strategically and played a major role in WWIII. He had also gained his reputation as the man who hacked the world.

When the war ended with the making of the peace treaty, the girl's ship used for smuggling loads had been destroyed, and they had parted, although her last words to him had been to remember his debt to her.

He sat back against the remaints of a brick wall, checking to see whether his shotgun of the gamma power was still in place.

The question was not whether she came back, but when.

Nagin circled the group. "And so a plan is formed." A loud rumbling sounded from his stomach. He laughed heartly. "Anyone hungry?"

"I live off cigars," Nova responded.

Nagin walked over to a low shelf, and lifted a thin wooden box from it. Eyebrow raised and an impish smile on his face, he walked back to Nova and opened the box. "I have a few of those as well."

"I'm not that hungery." Theo said looking at the globe. He pressed where the pup said the plague were and looked closely. "I could do with a soda though." He said pulling out something from his rucksack.

Pup looked at Nova and Nagin. "So, am I to help you with your dragon hunting. I suppose I could lure a few out for you, since the plague dragons are always looking for a fight with another dragon."

Nagin pushed a button on the keypad. "Command 24." he spoke loudly into it. A little robot, about a foot high, zoomed in from the other room, a can of soda in its hand. It stopped in front of Nagin and he plucked the soda from it. Turning he handed it to Theo, and then he addressed Pups question. "It is your choice. This mission will be dangerous, I'm sure, but it would be nice to have someone who knows the Plague's religions and customs.

Pup nodded. "I would like to help, but I cant garentee that I can fight other plague dragons. Many of them have grown rather.......enormous, especially the second-in-command dragon Skeith. He wont go down very easily....."

Nova gladly accpeted a cigar, lighting it from a lighter in a hidden pocket within her cloak. "Say, smoking was banned not long ago. How is it that you came by these? Back on topic, I will do what I can to call my old comrade." Sitting cross-legged on the floor, she closed her eyes, eyebrows furrowed as if in deep concentration. A slight frown on her face, moments passed without response. Ten minutes later, she re-emerged from her trance, smiling.

Earth, 12:45 pm...

Cameron was arising from his brief rest when a sudden, sharp pain filled his mind. He fell onto his knees, his hands grasping his forehead.

Remember me? a voice asked in his head.

He took a moment to clear his mind of the pain and focus his thoughts. Nova, he stated simply.

Yes, I have come to ask you a small favor.

Not again! Get out of my head Nova, and leave me alone! He responded angrily.

I know that you have always wondered...

About?

Everything. My extraodrinary powers and capabilities at such a "young" age. How I knew who and where to find you. How I knew what to do during that war. How I remain unchanging, unlike yu, through these years...

When there was no response, Nova knew she had captured his attention.

This is the chance to learn all of it. The secrets I have buried away from you. All I ask is that...

"Not to far from where we are now. Almost right outside the city in fact" Theo said unknowingly inturuppting Nova's conversation. He was holding a smaller looking orb in his hand although it wasn't complete. It was a map he made himself. "Although the place was just a giant empty crater last time I was there. I seems to have changed quite a bit." He said after taking a drink.

Nagin smiled and scratched Pup behind her horn. "Skeith, sounds bad, but we will worry about that when we have to. For now enjoy the peace, because battle is sure to come." He turned and watched Nova with interest for a while, then he began cleaning up around the room. Hearing Theo speak, he faced him. "A crater huh, that’s strange, but there are many of those around now." As he finished speaking a shuffling behind him signaled that Nova was out of her trance. "So is your comrade coming with us? If so I think we should leave soon to collect him, I have a craft that we can take if you don’t mind, and we can rest while we travel. Were is he anyhow?" He said while gathering some tomes.

"He willl meet us there, and if you do not mind, I will take my own ship. I unlike you do not live in this pit, and have a means to get myself around." She faced him, a smirk on her face.

"So where is there anyways." he yelled over his shoulder, oblivious to her smirk.

"When I messaged my comrade, I accidentally caught the signal of an unknown sound, something akin to a raged roar. I managed to trace it to the location. Think you can follow my ship if I lead?" she asked.

"I'm sure I could." he said placing books in tube that led to his ship. "I've driven more than one ship in my time."

"Count me in too. Although I'd rather go in a ship than on foot. It's quite a ways away." Theo said with a smirk of anticipation. He didn't know why but it felt like he's fought plague before and the necklace let off an almost unnoticable glow.

"If you think youcan come on my ship kid, forget it. You're likely to touch something and blow up the Nagin's." Nova gave him an irritated glance.

"Who said I wanted to go on your ship? Chances are I'll get my guns pointed at me!" He retorted with a bit of harshness and sarcasm. He turned to Nagin. "You on the other hand I'd like to ride along with you, if not however than I'll have to take the only other way I know and not only is it against the law but also I might beat you two there but I want to be there at the same time so we're on the same page, you know." He said smiling. "Either way I'm going to be there so what's the harm of me coming along rather than breaking the law, right."

"Whatever kid, so long as you don't touch my ship. If you will tell me where your ship is, I will gladly escort you there. I have no intentions of letting you see where my ship is landed anyhow." Nova started towards the exit.

"Sure you can ride in my ship, just dont break anything." Nagin placed a few more books and scrolls in the tube and walked after Nova yelling for her to go out the back door.

Pup looked down, slightly embarassed. "Umn, could I by any chance ride with one of you guys......I don't exactly have wings anymore......" She looked up hopefully.

"Um... I'm sure Nagin will let you on, and if not you can come with me the other way." Theo said smiling at the pup. "Lets catch up before the leave us behind." He said going after Nagin.

"Hurry up you two, or were leaving." Nagin's voice sounded from the other room. Then a loud bang and shouts sounded from the other room.

Pup ran out and hurried to keep up with Nova and Nagin. "Hurry up theo, or they'll probably leave you behind!"

Turning back, Nova readied her rifle. She pulled a pair of heat-detecting goggles over her eyes, and aimed her weapon - through the wall. Catching the figure of a man shorter and stockier than Nagin, she fired. Kill first, ask questions second unless you want to be the one shot.

She stepped into the room, searching for the result of her shot, and any other threats. Spotting Nagin, she mouthed "What the heck is going on?"

Nagin pulled the hilt of his sword off his belt as steel wove itself out of it into a blade, a suit of battle armor covering his body. A diagonal slash cut a man who ran at Nagin in half. Three more fell as he made his way toward Nova. His helmet disapeared into his suit. "It's my rival. Run to the keypad over there, and put in the code 336." He mouthed back, pointing to a keypad a few feet away.

Stepping backwards, Nova entered the key, never turning her head. She fired once more at a man who attempted to stop her. Despite her curiousity, Nova remained silent. Her elders had long since beaten into her not to question an order unless with guaranteed reason.

She checked on those she had shot. The first of the two was dead. However, the second was alive. Terribly mutated and in great pain, but living all the same. She couldn't help but wonder if she could question him...

Pup looked over Nova's shoulder and snarled at the injured man. "He smells like plague, I despise that smell." Her nortrils flared at the smell.

A spiral staircase circled down from the cieling, crushing three men underneath it. Slicing another man while he walked he yelled. "Run up them the lead to the roof." He walked up to the half mutated man and lifted him on his shoulder. He began up the stairs, decapitating a man who ran up to him.

Nova followed behind him, shooting down more men. She hissed in pain as a bullet fired from one of them caught her on her right forearm, however continued onwards.

Nagin reached the roof and dropped the man he was carrying roughly, turning he walked back down the stairs and gaurded the stairs to let the others pass.

"Now what?" Nova grunted, looking around.

Suddenly men began to fly through the air, as a mountain of a man walked towards the group. "Hantaro!" Nagin said through gritted teeth. He stood 9 feet tall, and was as wide as two men. His dark brown hair fell over a chisled face, and his sharp blue eyes cut through Nagin. He carried a large war hammer in his hands, the size of a man, its butt end glinting sharply in the light. Nagin growled at him, his breath becoming heavy "I will kill you this time." The steel of his sword melted away and became a blade of crackling power. He ran at the man slicing at his body, though he hit only once before the hammer came down with the force of snaping stones. His blow missed Nagin, but the vibrations shook him to his core.

Leaving Nagin to fight this "Hantaro", Nova ducked behind a low platform on the roof, protected from any bullets that might happen to be aimed at her direction. Peering over the corner, she shot at the men, aiming to bring down as many as she could with the least firepower.

Theo ducked behind something bullet proof without anyone noticing and looked for something to fight with and without even knowing what he was doing he saw a long metal rod that had been shot apart by bullets and fell off diagonally to make a sharp end and grabbed it then he was sneaking from shadow to shadow quickly and quietly to get behind the enemies.

An annoyed expression crossed Nova's face. With Theo behind the line of troops, she could not risk having the splash effect of her weapon harm him. Normally she would have fired anyway(too bad for him), however she needed his help. Drawing a small handgun from her belt, used it instead.

Pup smashed trough a group of men like a stampede, crushing whoever she ended up stepping on. She grabbed a man with her teeth by the arm and flung him at some more men, making a few of them fall over. She snarled and tore at the men in front of her with vigor, ignoring the bullets that simply bounced of her armored hide.

Nagin jumped over Hantaro stabing at his head, though he sidesteped the blade. Rolling to the side he slashed at his knee. Hantaro bellowed with pain as a deep gash appered on his leg. "Fall back, their too strong." he yelled out to his men. The few still alive retreated grugingly, fireing off a few more shots before they ran out the hole in the wall. Nagin, holding back his desire to chase them, turned to see if everyone was alright.

Pup looked up from her victim as the rest of the enemy retreated, or at least most of them. She noticed quite a few men were injured and trying to escape, so she went around and ended their miserable lives. "Well, that was rather fun.....for me at least...." She looked at the others to see if they were okay.

"and people say fighting with fake weapons in the park won't have real world implications." Theo said coming out of the shadows on the other end of the field with the sharp metal rod covered in blood. "Heh, only us four and we scared them away. Not bad."

Pup, stepped on a dead man's head, crushing it instantly like a watermelon. "Don't get cocky kid. We may have won this fight, but not all fights will be so......easy." She moved her foot out of the brain and blood of the crushed skull and went over to Nagin. "How dangerous is this Hantaro guy?"

Nagin wiped sweat from his face, suffling through the piles of bodys. He sighed at Pups question. "He is very dangerous. Hantaro is the second in comand of the Six Serpents, a major criminal orginazation in the books of the elites. Their men are stationed on every populated planet, though this is one of their hotspots. They rule the streets here, though I've lived here for seven years trying to take them down they never had found me until now. They underestimated us once, they wont do it again." Picking up a rifle at his feet he began to disasemble it. "This is advanced for them. They must be geting weapons from off planet." Throwing it to the ground he began to walk up the stairs. "Come on, lets get out of here."

Theo shrugged, picked up a rifle and an energy sword. The rifle had a strap so it could be carried behind his back he put the energy sword and metal pole in leather loops on his belt that he fastened so they wouldn't fall out. "Okay ready." He said folowing Nagin.

Nova stepped up from her place of hiding, grasping at her injured arm with the other. She had torn a piece of cloth from her cloak to make a makeshift bandage to slow the flow of blood. Despite her exhuberant physical health, and her countless previous wounds, she couldn't help but feel light-headed and weak. How was it that she could smoke for over a century without any visible difference, yet bullets still affected her this way? Strangely, as she always did, she knew she would heal without a scratch, although with unexpendable amounts of time.

Waving her free arm at them, she called out, "Where is your ship? We have to get out of here. This was too easy. They'll undoubtedly come back with reinforcments. Once you are on, I'll find my way back to my ship, and meet you near the landing area east of here." Closing her eyes, she added, "I think I've recognized them."

"My ship is up on the roof, it's a simple cruiser, but it does what I need it to." Nagin said still walking up the stairs. He stopped and cast Nova a worried glance, her face seemed pained. "Are you ok?"

Expression hardening, she replied, "I'm fine. If you can get to your ship, I will be off." With those words, she leapt from the roof, landing in a three-point stance of the ground below, and broke into a sprint towards her concealed ship.

Pup looked over at Nagin as she wiped off the liquids that where on her feet. "I suppose that I'm going with you then?"

Nagin tapped a button on his wrist, his ship appearing in a shimmer of light. "Yeah, lets go. We will meet Nova at the landing site." he said walking up the ramp onto the ship.

Nova walked down a dark, abandoned alley, stopping at a rat-infested garbage dump. Pushing aside the foul-smelling box with some effort, she walked into an underground passageway beneath it. She pushed the concealing box over the entrance once more, and proceded to her ship, small but fast close by. Climbing up the ramp, she got aboard the one-man ship and fired up the engine, her fingers crossed. Thankfully, the ship bursts its way through the surface, not without some difficulty. Setting the ship on auto-pilot to the designated meeting area, she reached over to the first-aid kit, seeing what she could do for her arm.

trotting up the ramp after Nagin, Pup looked around the inside of the ship. "well, I'm glad that I'm not a very big dragon or else I believe I would find this uncomfortable." She went over to an empty corner and sat down.

"Then it's a good thing that your the perfect size." Nagin said to Pup while walking around making sure everything on the ship was in working order. Seeing everything to be functioning corectly he began to start up the ship, while leaving the ramp down for Theo.

Theo walked on board and sat next to the pup. "Whenever you're ready." He said to Nagin.

Thousands of light-years away, aboard the Darthian...

"Captain Terrandis."
"Yes, commander?"
"Have you the report on your scouting mission?"
"Yes Sir."
"Any irregualrities?"
"No Sir. However..."
"Continue."
"I have sensed that there are more out there who know..."
"Please clarify that statement."
"There are others, humans, that know of the past, the great truth."
"How many? Do they pose a threat?"
"One, I sense, has been listening in on our conversations. They can hear our thoughts as we do. They are like one of us, yet not at the same time. This one may be a valuable ally. However the other has less knowledge on the subject, yet poses a threat. But he is young."
"Our greatet ally may turn out to be our deadliest foe. Captain, I want you to contact this potential ally, and see to it that they are with us. As for the other... Young or not, he must be terminated."
"Affirmative."

Surviving US Base, Earth, 6:45 am...

"Damn this! What do you mean the flight has been cancelled?" Cameron shouted in frustation, whispering a stream of curses under his breath.
"I am sorry for the inconvenience sir, but the flight conditions-"
"To hell with the flight conditions! How the heck does the weather matter anyways when you're in space at light speed?"
"Please calm down sir. If it is extremely urgent, I am sure we can arrange a third-class flight for you. We cannot promise anything, and there may be delays-"
"Good enough, just get me a freaken flight there!"

Aboard passanger shuttle, 10:30 am...

Aboard the Phoenix, near Eastern Landing Station...

Nova waited impatiently for Nagin above the landing station. Looking down below her, she spotted a group of armed men pointing in the direction of her ship. Swearing under her breath, she picked up her intercom, and cued in Nagin.

"Can you be any slower? We've got company. A small group of men six points north of my ship, if you have my location."

Pup lifted her head, interested at the news. " Are they enemy Nova? Or are they allies?"
