2004-10-23 [iippo]: I did this RiverStar already, ok? saying that it is running.
2004-11-08 [RiverStar]: alright thanks. iippo (happy b-day), anyway, can you do my a huge favor and start up a new contest...i'm swamped, but i'm trying to appear again. I give you the reins to start up a new one.
2004-11-08 [iippo]: ok, i will.... erm, who desides what it will be? shall i? or can we have a vote?
2004-11-11 [RiverStar]: go ahead iippo, you pick, it's my gift to you as a loyal follower of what if
2004-11-12 [iippo]: ok, the suggeston in the main page really intrigues me... mostly to see what sort of drawings we'll get!
2004-11-17 [RiverStar]: I'm good with it. I see no problems. Do you want to set it up, change start-up on the pages and set deadline and such. I am trying to get the submitted stuff updated.
2004-11-17 [iippo]: ok, I'll do that.
2004-11-17 [RiverStar]: Are you my only judge left alive? Anyway I need some help coming up with the criteria for judging...can you three message me with ideas for what you would look for in both art and stories....eve
2005-06-04 [Skydancer]: Suggestions: Story coherency. How well it holds together. Continuity. Does it jump around or does it keep you in the mood and feel of the story. Plot lines. Do the threads of the plot make sense and not wander off into loose ends. Descriptive language. Is the story painted in terms and expressions that move the story forward yet provide a rich sense of being in the tale? Readability. How easy is it to follow the story, and what grade level does it meet? Using a lot of very long paragraphs, or language that needs a higher level education to follow will affect the audience. Obviously a childrens story would not be written in college level language and so on. Hope that helps a bit.
2005-06-04 [RiverStar]: *raises an eyebrow* are you applying to be a judge?....well if you were first off would be me telling you to read instructions..
2005-06-04 [Skydancer]: No, no applications.. just suggestions as you requested.
2005-06-04 [Skydancer]: I have more than enough to keep my hands full with my own contests. :) But I do set a very specific criteria for the judges each time. As always, it is just suggestions and my own opinion or from my own experience as a writer, and you are free to use or discard it as you please.
2005-06-04 [RiverStar]: *smiles* well in that case thank you very much.
2005-06-08 [iippo]: Skydancer has good suggestions.
2005-06-11 [RiverStar]: go ahead...you guys are judges...you are allowed to edited pages.
2005-11-28 [iippo]: For round 9, I suggest we start a similar entry page for writing, something like Text 9 where people can put the wiki-link to their written entries.
2006-01-03 [Lady Edana-Arianrhod Rós]: eeeeeeek
