Dead End Street

<img500*0:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11358122/Winter%20of%20Wolves/deadendstreet.jpg>

Warning: Dead End Street is what we call a Dangerous Area, always ask for GM clearance before you move your characters into or out of this area, as something might happen to them in the process.

The lower city, where the Majai inhabit, is a sprawling mess of streets and cheap constructions of all sizes, types and manners. The fact the city grew organically, without any planning means that many areas have little in ways of access, or become alleyways that lead to nowhere in particular. Another particularity of the lower city is that the Majai are left, for the most part, to police themselves, and while many areas manage to get organized and keep safe, many others transform into dangerous no man's lands, where everything is allowed if one is strong enough to get away with it. Dead End Street is one of the most infamous, a den of murderers and criminals right off the incredibly popular Red Ribbon Road. It's denizens make a living off surprising the hapless tourists that make their way to the Red Ribbon, or come back, drunk and vulnerable in the dead of night. Going into Dead End Street is an invitation to danger in it of itself, as there are no laws or powers in place that would protect the visitors. The entrance of the street is a small, darkened alleyway, a mud road leads further in, with small dilapidated houses, filled with squatters on either side. The buildings on either side of the street are rather tall, blocking much of the artificial lighting in the city. At the very end of the street there lies a small plaza, a dead tree haunting the very middle of it while some less than reputable businesses and dive bars surround it.

Rill walked in from WoW - Stonebend, the trying to spot either the perpetrator himself or any person who might have looked knowledgeable and not immediately hostile. (Search)

Ferah followed the ranger by a couple of paces, her hands away from her body, ready to fend off or strike. Despite the dimness of their surroundings, she still tried to keep her eyes and ears open for any immediate threats (Notice).

Rill and Ferah passed into the darkness of Dead End Street and could almost feel the air around them immediately go heavy. There was something almost supernaturally threatening around the place, as if color had been drawn away from the surrounding area. It was not completely outlandish that there, in a place with no laws and away from prying eyes, horrible magical experiments might have taken place. Right now though, Rill and Ferah noticed a group of men sitting on the porch of one of the dilapidated houses, they were all wearing tattered clothes and looked gaunt, haunted and thin, their eyes somewhat glazed over as they stared out into the street, focusing on nothing in particular. On the far end of the street was a small figure, bundled up in old rotten robes, curled up on the steps of the plaza. Across the street from the group of men stood two large men, one Majai and a Shah, both of them sporting blades around their wastes and leather armor.

Ferah pointed out each group in turn. "These glass-eyed people seem to be in a different world. I doubt they would be any help." Her eyes narrowed when her eyes fell on the armed men. "They're going to be trouble, I think. Especially if we want to reach them," she added, pointing at the huddled character. "We can try to talk our way past them, but I don't think they'll respond to anything other than force."

Rill agreed with Ferah. He didn't look happy that the two big Majai men seemed to be the ones with most of their wits about them. At least now he had a companion of an appropriate race so they might not just decide to have their way with him, or so he believed. "I'll try them first," he said to Ferah. Rill then walked closer to the two men but didn't go close enough to be right within their reach. "Hey. I'm looking for a man, have you seen him?" If the men didn't stop him right away, he then described the blond bearded man to them.

Before Rill could get as even get as far as 'man', he'd already been interrupted by one of the large Majai men, who turned to the Shah, "Oi, Xi, I'm beein' talk'd at by an 'nginier here." he said simply, as if Rill was a curiosity. "Ranger dressed too." replied the more articulate Xi, "Methinks the little ranger is lost, Jav" added the Shah man, taking a swig of a greenish hued bottle he had between his index and thumb. Upon closer inspection, the two men were clearly drunk, or close to it. "Whe'ever yer lookin' for, rainger boya, it's not here. This heer is more dang'rous than the wastes. Now you jus' gonna leave yer purse here for inconveniencing us' with. uh.. with..-" "Your presence-" interjected Xi before Jav continued "That! Yer presnce, and ye'll be on yer merry."

The thuggish responses from the two men made Ferah grind her teeth. She stepped forward from Rill so that she was nearly between him and them, making sure her tesla gauntlet was on display for them to see. "I doubt a couple of drunken shits with 3 brain cells and one testicle between them is much of a challenge compared to the monsters we've encountered. Answer the man before we beat it out of you." (Intimidate) The challenge was strong, but she seriously doubted that these men were going to be coerced through anything other than violence.

For a brief moment, Rill pondered what to do, and the option on top of his mind was to just walk away since the thugs probably wouldn't notice him leave or even reemmber him due to their state. Still, Ferah's way worked too, even if because she did it and not Rill because he didn't have such skills. Nonetheless, he could assist her, so he grabbed his bow and seemed ready with it, though he didn't point it at them yet – the thugs would be the ones to take the final step if they were up to it. (Aid on intimidate?)

The thugs grinned as Ferah and Rill drew their weapons, as if they had been waiting for an excuse to get into a fight. It was obvious the two were not intimidated by the old amiri warrior and her daguerrian companion, but the quickness with which they drew their weapons and lunged at them was surprising. Only Ferah was able to react before the two men were upon them!

Combat!

Turns are as following!;
1. Ferah Azzal (Endurance: 4/7, Stamina: 5/9)(Injured)
2. Accalia (Endurance: 6/6, Stamina: 7/7)
3. Nadira (Endurance: 6/6, Stamina: 6/6)
4. Majai Knave (2 Damage)
5. Shah Knave (Disarmed!)
6. Rill Taskinger (Endurance: 4/8, Stamina: 9/10)(Wounded)

Ferah's turn! -

With a quick bark of laughter, Ferah activated her gauntlet and sprang at the Shah opponent, he being the closest. Fist clenched and with electricity crackling around it, she threw her fist round at the scoundrel (Strike).

Stepping forward, Ferah lunged at the Shah man, punching him squarely in the side of the face and making him stumble back. A coupled of the man's teeth flew into the floor, followed by a trail of bloody spit, and Ferah could feel the gauntlet discharge a blast of electricity into the scoundrel's body. Unfortunately for Ferah, the shock didn't seem to slow down the massive thug, and though she managed to punch him in the chest as he regained his balance, the padding of his leather armor repelled the punch and the electric shock.

The Majai knave seemed unconcerned by his friend's lost teeth, and immediately went for Rill before he could fire his bow, slashing wildly at the air as he charged the ranger!

Lifting his bow, Rill managed to stop the man's short sword before it could gain momentum and cut him. With a powerful push, the ranger deflected the sharp blade of the sword to the side before stumbling a couple of steps backwards!

In the meantime, the Shah had taken a hand to his mouth, blood and spit bubbling and seeping down in between his fingers and onto the floor. It was growing darker by the minute in the city, but Ferah could still see embers in the man's eyes as he grabbed his own short sword and used it to thrust directly at her stomach!

With the blade incoming, Ferah attempted to deflect it with her gauntlet (Block).

Unfortunately for Ferah, she couldn't bring the gauntlet around to block the strike and the blade of the man's short sword stabbed cleanly into her side. Luckily for her, her padded armor took the brunt of the damage, but she could still feel the cold metal bite into her skin and then warm, slippery blood running down her side from sight below her rib cage.

Rill's turn! -

Rill was disappointed more than anything. He took a step back, lifted his bow and aimed an arrow at the thug Ferah had just punched.

Rill had an extremely difficult shot, trying to loose an arrow at the Shah man while he stood behind the Majai. Not to mention the Majai was still attacking Rill at the time. Still, the ranger managed to find a small opening and time his shot just right to strike the man on the back. Unfortunately for Rill, the arrow pierced the leather armor the thug was wearing, but did no other damage, simply hanging from the back of the man's clothes as he continued to attack Ferah!

Ferah's turn! -

With a curse that would shame most warriors, Ferah felt the attacker's blade pierce her skin. Another scar for another story. Gritting her teeth against the pain, she made a move to twist the Shah's sword out of his grip (Dexterity disarm - Boosted with Stamina (3)!).

Gritting her teeth Ferah managed to grab the blade of the man's sword. Protected by her gauntlet, she twister her wrist and forced the Shah to let go of the weapon before tossing it aside!

In the meantime, the Majai thug still had his own blade and this time he pulled back before lunging at Rill in a stabbing motion!

Since Rill was't keen on doing close combat anyway, he tried to dodge.

Rill tried to pull back, but the man was already too close, lunging forward, he thrust his short sword straight into the Daguerrian's chest. Rill could feel an incredibly sharp wave of pain radiate from the point where the blade had pierced into his body. Suddenly Rill was out of breath as one of his lungs was pierced and collapsed, and as the man pulled the sword out, the ranger felt blood gushing out of the wound as he fell to his knees!

In the meantime, the Shah knave, not knowing Ferah's ally had received a critical wound, lifted both hands over his head and brought them down onto Ferah's, trying to club her into submission!

Ferah raised her own arms, crossed, above her head in an attempt to block the Shah's unarmed attack (Block).

Ferah's arms managed to stop most of the blow, but the knave put all his weight behind the strike and still brought down both his fists over the woman's head. She felt a loud thud atop her head and everything started spinning for a second, he ears ringing and eyes watery. Ferah stumbled back as she tried to regain her balance, but the blow to her head had left her considerably addled.

Rill's turn! -

Rill coughed up some blood and figured amongst the pain that using the bow would be pretty useless, even if only because drawing it would surely hurt like hell. Therefore, he went for his dagger, trying to dig it unnoticed and then go for a surprise strike, plunging toward the shah's throat.

Rill surprised the man he was fighting, suddenly switching to a dagger and thrusting it up towards his neck. Hitting a bit low, Rill managed to push the dagger up against the man's leather armor, right along his collarbone. Weak from the blood loss an injuries, however, the ranger lacked the strength to pierce the armor!

Ferah's turn! -

Staggered with the force of the Shah's blow, Ferah vaguely felt the dread of her and Rill's imminent demise. However, her bull-headedness pushed her to keep going. She looked round for the sword she'd pulled from the thug's grasp, spotted it, and went to pick it up in her gauntleted hand before the Shah could smash more of her brains out.

Ferah noticed the sword lying on the other side of the road, resting against one of the dilapidated houses that lined the Dead End Street and quickly managed to find her balance as he head continued to ring. Rushing over, she managed to pick the blade up as the knaves began to move!

Once she entered the dark, rank alley that constituted Dead End street Accalia became noticeably more alert. She paused to allow time for her eyes to adjust and scan the area, more apprehensive than nervous, or perhaps wary would have been a more apt description. Situational awareness was at the forefront of her mind, that her new companion might appear too much a tourist for either of them not to draw the local's attention, as she herself had insinuated in order to insult the woman, was a close second. Despite, or perhaps because of, this notion, she was head up, shoulders back, and eyes narrowed and cold as they swept across the street, doing her best to make certain that those who saw her would know that she wouldn't be one to catch off guard and, if she could appear intimidating enough, not one to be trifled with. It wasn't altogether an act, Cali was confident in her ability to hold her own, even if she found Nadira's suspect.

Having only, for the most part, experienced second-hand information regarding the lower city, Nadira cautiously entered the dim, ramshackle area on Accalia's heels, her eyes wide and her ears alert (Notice). By now, a hand rested on her sword in the case that she needed to use it, even against Cali, if her decision to follow the Ranger had been a foolhardy one.

It wasn't hard for the two women to see the gruesome scene unfolding before them. There were two Majai in light clothing fighting two other people, one of which was bleeding profusely and seemed badly wounded. The women could ignore the situation and turn back, or attempt to run through the fighting, or maybe even try to help one of the two sides.

Accalia's turn! -

Cali didn't normally involve herself in the affairs of others, foolhardy though she was, but once she had taken stock of the fight in front of her, her mind registered the fact that the badly injured man on the ground was none other than Rill. A low growl escaped her when she pulled out her bow and notched an arrow without a second thought. She might still be angry with the bastard, but she wasn't about to stand by and watch as some low life Majai murdered him like a dog in the street. As she took aim for the head of the man attacking her former companion, she briefly remembered the one she was currently with. Now's as good a time as any to see what she's worth. "Be ready." Accalia snapped to Nadira before letting the arrow fly.

The majai who was about to take Rill out had not noticed the two women had entered into the dangerous alleyway. As he raised his knife to bring it down on the ranger's head when he was suddenly struck by an arrow right below his left shoulder. The arrow went clean through his leather armor and bit into his shoulder as he stumbled back a few steps and cried out "Damnit!".

Nadira's turn!

Plainly seeing that the fight was dwindling to something one-sided, Nadira stood tensely at Cali's side, jaw set tight and eyes locked on the quartet of fighters before them. Perhaps she misheard Cali's Be ready for Attack!, or maybe she was just ready to show her grit to her doubtful companion, for as soon as the arrow safely landed in the Majai Knave, Nadira appeared to throw caution to the wind and charged the injured man, aiming to thrust her sword into the man's right shoulder area, hoping in the least to disarm the man, and at the most to render his right arm useless (Strike).

With the man having taken an arrow, he was unable to raise his wounded shoulder quickly enough to block Nadira's stab. The woman got past his defense but when she attempted to sink her sword into his arm, she found herself lacking the strength to push through the leather protecting the knave, after all, it was the first time Nadira had gone into combat.

Immediately afterwards "Fucking bitches! Where did you come from?!" let out the Majai knave as he moved away from Nadira's sword and pulled up his own blade, slashing at the woman. Fortunately for her, he telegraphed his blow and she was able to deflect it with her sword.

The Shah man, disarmed and looking at a two to one disadvantage, quickly lifted up his arms and called out to everyone. "H-hey! How about we call it a day, uh?! You got to take your man to a doctor and we ain't dying for some coppers. Whatcha say?!"

Trying to not get into a worse coughing fit because of all the blood in his lung, Rill looked up to see Cali and some odd woman he didn't know. As the thugs finally seemed intimidated enough, he was just glad that they had stopped. He tried to crawl upright and away from the thugs, toward his allies. He didn't have anything to say about calling it a draw since he didn't think he was in any good condition to fight, so he waited for the others to say something. He did stare at the half-breed woman longer than was comfortable but didn't say anything to her either.

"Leave your own purses behind to pay for the wounds you've inflicted and we'll call it even," Ferah said gruffly to the Shah as she removed her gauntlet and gripped the sword she'd taken. "I'm keeping your sword and the teeth I knocked out." She tried to look the man in the eyes but her vision wouldn't focus with the blow she'd taken to the head. She swung her head towards the newcomers. "Unless you're out for blood, I say let them run with their piss-stained pants intact."

"I don't think you're understandin' yer own position, retch." said simply the Shah, blood from his mouth seeping between his fingers as he held his hand up to his face. "We's lettin' ya go because it's not worth the trouble. We can all keep going if you want!" he said as he spat some blood on the floor, turning to Nadira and Cali now. "We're willing, but then it's on you if your man there doesn't make it." he added as he pointed to Rill, who was still losing blood from the wound on his chest. "Though yer welcome to the fuckin' knife if you want!"

Rill, wounded though he was, couldn't really believe what the thugs were saying. "Are they really blaming you for them stabbing me?" he complained, focusing on the irrelevant and shaking his head. He held the wound he'd received and wondered what he should do about it and whether he could do it by himself.

Accalia was pleased to see her arrow find its home lodged into the man’s shoulder, but wasted no time as she quickly drew again. She didn’t let the arrow fly just yet, choosing to watch as her new companion threw herself into the fray with an eagerness that Cali found herself approving of. She smiled grimly and stepped closer as the Shah offered up a truce and Rill’s companion responded with a demand for his coin, shifting so that she was aiming the notched arrow at his head instead. “And you’re over estimating yours.” She called out to the man, and then let her eyes scan the area for a brief moment in case he had friends on the way before focusing on him with a steely glare. “Drop your purses or they won’t be the only things you lose this day.”

Having little time to critique her unsuccessful strike at the Knave injured by Accalia's arrow, Nadira retreated a couple of steps after she more ably parried his subsequent attack. She stood with her sword at the ready, but didn't want to be at the wrong end of one of her new companion's sharp projectiles. The heiress most certainly did not want to keep going, as the man put it, but she was afraid she had little say in the matter as the markswoman notched another arrow.

Rill's breathing was getting harder and harder by the second, as his one good lung worked overtime and thin, warm squirts of blood slipped rhythmically through his fingers. The men were quiet, looking around as if assessing the situation before the still armed one put away his knife, eyeing the head of Nadira's arrow for a second before finally calling it quits. "Fuck it, it's not worth a few coppers." he said as he grabbed a small cloth bag from the inside of his sash and threw it at the floor in front of Rill. The bag fell on the small pool of sticky blood that had formed right under the wounded ranger, probably not by accident. "There." he said, snapping the arrow off his shoulder and then throwing the shaft down on the floor. "And you, I'm gonna remember YOU, bitch." hissed the Majai at Accalia before he stormed off, pushing whoever tried to stand in his way, meekly followed by the Shah who was still trying to keep his teeth inside his mouth by holding a bloody hand up to it.

Victory!
Everyone is awarded 5 XP

Ferah relaxed as the knaves withdrew. She attempted to slide her blade under her belt but only succeeded in tumbling to her side on the street. Her eyes went to Rill and she crawled on her hands and knees to him, the crud-covered cobbles swimming beneath her. "Ranger, hold it together. We'll get you to a healer, just keep going."

Rill just eyed the thugs meanly. He didn't pretend to be fine, but neither did he pretend he couldn't move about. "Can you walk?" he asked quietly while trying to calm down to ease his breathing. "If we're going to a doctor..." he started and looked at Cali. "Can you tie the wound... to stop the blood? Bandages in the kit..."

As quick to be insulted as ever, even if by lowly majai scum already turning tail to flee, Accalia did not immediately lower her weapon. Her jaw tightening, she let her notched arrow follow him as he went, seriously contemplating shooting him in the back before letting out a low growl from the back of her throat and pulling back. "The good it'll do you." She muttered under her breath. The fight was over now, but it wasn't nearly as satisfying as putting those dogs down for good would have been. Now though, she turned her attention to Rill. "You damned fool, letting yourself get jumped." Cali grumbled as she knelt beside him. She eyed his wound uncertainly, having never been particularly apt at the healing arts, and then shot a look to Nadira. "Are you any better with medicine than you are with a sword?" She asked, though if she were forced to be honest the girl had actually impressed her with her eagerness for battle, if not for her prowess with a sword.

For a tense moment, Nadira eyed Accalia, hoping to high heavens that she'd drop her bow and let the two thugs leave without further adieu, while maintaining as neutral an expression as possible. With the two antagonists taking their leave, the heiress sheathed her sword and turned her attention to the poor, injured fellow on the ground. Nadira probably had about as much experience in first aid as she did in sword fighting, but, unwilling to allow anyone to even think such a thing, the woman finally found her voice. 'I will do what I can,' she said in lowly, as to keep her irritation at Cali's jibe in check. 'Could you please give me some room,' she added to both Ferah and Cali, who were both in close vicinity to the man. After hiking her skirts slightly and squatting to avoid getting herself too muddy, she looked for the kit to which Rill referred (Search).

Luckily for Rill, his time as a ranger seemed to be paying off. His body was tough as nails and able to take a lot of punishment, so while he certainly wasn't getting any better, he didn't seem to be getting any worse right now. He still needed medical attention though, and soon. Luckily, Nadira had not problems finding some bandages, a couple of ointments and needle and thread in Rill's medical kit.

Ferah tested getting up and was glad to feel her legs hold her up. She gave Nadira she requested by leaning against the alley wall. She gave Rill's fellow ranger a grimace. "We don't get jumped. We pick our fights." Her head was starting to pound - it wasn't just Rill needing a doctor. "We could have handled the situation better," she conceded. "But what's done is done, may the Gods have mercy." She didn't feel up to bowing just yet but still felt she owed the two women something. "My services are yours, ladies, as long as they may last." Not long if Paki or herself couldn't find proof of the creatures they'd faced.

Rill didn't object or in fact say anything. He just concentrated on keeping as much blood inside him as possible, which mostly included not moving. Since Cali and the other woman knelt down, he did too, but he didn't want to make it any harder for himself to get up again, so he just sat on his legs. He again tried to recall what should be done in a case like this. (Knowledge (Heal))

Accalia gave Nadira the space she asked for, more or less placated by the young woman’s agreement and lack of snarky reply. Ferah’s reply to her brought a derisive snort from the young ranger as she folded her arms across her chest. “Not very well.” She said simply, if a bit snidely as well. Cali watched as Nadira found the supplies from Rill’s kit and turned to the older woman, eying her critically. While she normally would have dismissed Ferah’s offer, due just as much to her lone wolf tendencies as to the fact that she doubted this woman’s ability to be of much assistance, she had been on her way to buy company for her excursion and a free sword was better than paid one. “How injured are you?” She asked suddenly, breaking the long, silent pause of her thoughts.

Flashing her grey eyes in Ferah's direction when the older woman offered her and her partner's services to she and Cali, Nadira looked very much like she didn't know how to respond to that offer, as she'd never received one quite like it. For her, this entire situation was surreal to begin with. 'Try to stay still, sir, ' she murmured, not sure what to say to the stranger, although she obviously thought she needed to say something. 'You may call me...' and she paused, taking the moment to extract a couple of bandages from the kit, 'Nadi,' she continued, putting the emphasis on the second syllable. It wasn't precisely a lie, and it's not what she preferred, but it would do for the time-being. Did she even know the woman's name with whom she was traveling? Shaking her head slightly at the thought, Nadira offered Rill a prim smile and set about doing the best she could to dress the wound (Heal).

With the help of Rill's supplies, Nadira managed to bandage up the wound the best she could and staunch the blood floor. Luckily the blade seemed to have missed Rill's bone and most vital organs, but his ragged and elaborate breathing meant it had probably nicked one of his lungs, where a lot of the blood was probably coming from. Nadira cleaned the blood off the wound the best she could, applied a compress and wrapped it up tightly in a bandage around Rill's chest. This would probably buy him a few hours, he could even walk around for an hour or two, but he needed a surgeon nonetheless.

Ferah gingerly held a hand to her side at the mention of her own wounds. "Took his blade here, not deep but enough to make my blood flow. He also knocked seven hells out of my head." She almost shook her head but decided that she didn't want to mess up what was left of her brains. "I'll be fine." She went to the grimy cobbles and picked up a few white, small objects - the thug's teeth she had knocked out. "Souvenir," she muttered. "Get a few more of these and I can make a necklace from them."

"Thanks, Nadi," muttered Rill. He followed the bandaging and started to finally realise that this wouldn't just heal on its own. But did he have enough money for a doctor? He didn't really think so, but he thought of himself so honest that he could take a debt, or then sell something. "Do you know any doctors?" he whispered to the others while trying to recall any friendly ones he knew, even better if he had once helped them through the snow. (Memory or Knowledge)

Watching as the young woman began bandaging up her fellow ranger, Accalia took note of the girl’s ability to dress a wound as well as the name she’d neglected to get thus far. It seemed Rill would survive, though Cali had no use of him in this state. The other woman though- a grim smirk briefly graced her lips as Ferah spoke of making jewelry from the teeth she knocked out of her assailant. At the very least this woman had grit and spite enough and was in a well enough shape to accompany her and Nadi on their journey. “It happens that I was looking for a hired sword to assist me.” She said to Ferah, “If you are serious in your offer, I accept.” First though, they needed to take care of Rill. Turning a cold gaze to him she cocked a brow. “Can you walk or will we have to drag you?” She asked even as tried to remember the location of the closest surgeon (Memory).

"Hmh," muttered Rill as an answer to whether he could walk. At the very least he thought he did and he didn't feel too light-headed while being up. "I know this doctor close by," he whispered. "Rasul von Hobbes. He's in Dev Rahal. Let's go there."

Simply nodding to say You're Welcome to Rill, Nadira neatly put the unused items away in the first aid kit, then tucked the kit away where she had originally found it. Her gaze only flitted over toward Cali and then Ferah when Rill inquired about a doctor, but the man seemed to answer the question for himself a moment later. 'Dev Ral it is, then,' the heiress commented quietly before situating herself with her crooked arm held-out for Rill to take if he decided that he wanted to try to stand. She tried to recall whether or not she knew anything about Dev Ral, if her father or Kiraz, her cousin, had maybe mentioned it at some point (Memory). 'If you think you can rise to your feet, sir, you may brace yourself against me to stand,' Nadira added.

Rill appreciated Nadi's actions even if he didn't say anything for now. He was then somewhat surprised by her next offer and honestly wasn't quite sure what to respond. Of course he thought of taking her hand, but just thinking about it made him and his hurting side twitch. "Um, thanks, but, uh..." he whispered. After all, his legs were just fine. With this injury, it would probably be more difficult and painful to lean on someone – unless he was about to faint, that is. He then stood up on his own and stayed still for a moment to see whether he still felt like not fainting.

The name suggested an upper city doctor, but Rill had said he was close by. No matter whether he was in another city and even further from Ferah's possible remaining family, she owed the ranger. And now there was his female friend... "As soon as your fellow ranger Rill has released me from my life debt, and the City Guard no longer want my head on a pike, I will gladly offer you my services as a sellsword," she directed at Accalia.

Close was good, as Accalia was already feeling the itch to get on her way. She waited for Rill to rise, slow as it was, before stepping ahead of the group, and then pausing when Ferah elaborated on further constraints to this life-debt she claimed to owe to the young ranger. Of course. No longer amused by the woman, Cali sighed silently, irritated by the knowledge that she did not, in fact, just obtain a new companion for as little a cost as a well-placed arrow and a threat. The temptation to ask how often Ferah found herself owing a life debt, but refrained, and said gruffly instead: “Then you’re of no use to me currently, our journey begins as soon as we’re done seeing Rill to Rasul Von Hobbes.” The first stop would then be the rangers guild to buy assistance for the job. Another inconvenience, but money was less of a concern to Accalia than the information she needed to find her father. She glanced at Rill and considered informing him of the disappearance, as he and her father had worked together in the past, but again held her tongue. Turning she back down the path that had lead her here, back to WoW - Stonebend.

Content that he wasn't about to faint, Rill followed Cali to WoW - Stonebend, walking carefully.

With a small bow of her head at Cali's terse words, ones that she might just shove back down the arrogant young ranger's throat, Ferah began following her and Rill out to WoW - Stonebend. Before she left the alleyway, she looked back over her shoulder at the hooded figures that Rill and her had hoped to question regarding the missing trinket, and wondered about the information they might be walking away from.

Despite the fact that she could have probably used the drink that she and Accalia had been heading to procure, Nadira slipped away from the ramshackle cul-de-sac and followed the others out into WoW - Stonebend.

2015-03-03 [Veltzeh]: Can I get something on my Knowledge (heal)? :P

2015-03-03 [Figgy]: Take him to Rasuuuuuul.

2015-03-05 [The Black Goat]: will post today!

2015-03-05 [The Black Goat]: Wait... did Rill really ask the person with THE lowest healing skill score to try to bandage up his wound?

XDXDXD

2015-03-06 [The Black Goat]: As quick to be insulted as ever, even if by lowly majai scum already turning
tail to flee, Accalia did not immediately lower her weapon. Her jaw
tightening, she let her notched arrow follow him as he went, seriously
contemplating shooting him in the back before letting out a low growl from
the back of her throat and pulling back. "The good it'll do you." She
muttered under her breath. The fight was over now, but it wasn't nearly as
satisfying as putting those dogs down for good would have been. Now though,
she turned her attention to Rill. "You damned fool, letting yourself get
jumped." Cali grumbled as she knelt beside him. She eyed his wound
uncertainly, having never been particularly apt at the healing arts, and
then shot a look to Nadira. "Are you any better with medicine than you are
with a sword?" She asked, though if she were forced to be honest the girl
had actually impressed her with her eagerness for battle, if not for her
prowess with a sword.

2015-03-06 [Veltzeh]: Of course he did, because Cali's the only person he knows. :P Of course I'm still waiting for Dur to say something to whether Rill can do something to it himself. Because if he can, he will!

2015-03-09 [Ms. Steel]: pokle

2015-03-10 [Veltzeh]: I think I wrote it clearly enough now...

2015-03-12 [Ms. Steel]: I'll post as soon.... ish.

2015-03-14 [Ms. Steel]: Does Nadira need to do a knowledge on first aid, or can she just try heal?

2015-03-14 [Ms. Steel]: I can change it to whatever. :-)

2015-04-03 [Duredhel]: There. Sorry guys :<

2015-04-03 [Ms. Steel]: :-D

2015-05-22 [Duredhel]: I don't think a post from me is needed, right? :O

2015-05-22 [Veltzeh]: Right.

However, moving around like this is really slow... Could we designate one player who moves all the characters to the destination?
