X-Men Danger Room

You do know the Danger Room... don't you?

X-Men - Time

Monday, September 20th

Kaider entered the large, empty-looking room and started using the interface near the entrance.

Vlad sauntered in casually, looking around the impressive room. He knew better than to underestimate the demure surface of the room that Korvka had told him about more than once. He noticed Kaider and walked over to em. "Vot are you doing?" he asked curiously.

"I'm more wondering what the hell I'm doing down here, and where along the line did we lose everyone else." Flame called out as she strolled in behind them both. "This is not my choice of spare time."

"Just setting the room to gym mode with an extra safety setting", replied Kaider to Vlad. Ey also locked it for em, since ey could well see Flame changing the room's settings to prove the newbies how dangerous it was. "And if ye're going to be the epitome of negativity an' prejudice, Miss Vagina, maybe ye should just leave", ey added, not that seriously, but rather irritated. "This room isn't goin' to do anything to us now."

Vlad was beginning to stretch himself out, pulling his arms across his chest and rolling his shoulders a bit. He noticed the exchange between Flame and Kaider and let it go. It wasn't his business to be dealing with the way other people felt about each other. Then his mind flickered to the hypocrisy of his logic, as he recalled his nudge to Devin earlier. Well, he figured, anything was better than Myetel. He continued stretching and agreed with Flame. "Yeah, where are they?" he asked. "We're in here!" he shouted loud enough for anyone to hear him who was still by the elevator.

Flame just made a talking motion with her hand, mocking Kaider. "Meh meh meh meh meh." Adding a whine to her voice in mimicing it. "I'm just going to stay down here now, just to annoy you." She paused and gave Vlad a once over. "That and for the view."

With a grin, Vlad continued stretching. He wasn't a glutton for attention, but when he found a woman that struck his fancy he loved it when she made no qualms about fancying him in return. "Try not to distract me too much, I vill be hit vith a ball and haff to sit out the rest of the game," he replied with a wink.

Shana pranced into the room, humming a song, and ran up to the others. "Sorry we took so long!" she said. "Soo..." she said, looking around. "Dodgeball?"

Danielis slowly walked into the room slowly and looked around with a slightly bemused expression.

Kaider pressed a button and a small cage full of foam balls rose from the floor. Having done that, ey pressed one more button and the console was sealed in the wall. "There." Ey picked a ball from the cage and threw it casually at Vlad. "Wait, ye're new, aren't ye? I didn't see ye before", said Kaider after seeing Danielis. "What's yer name?"

Catching the ball with one hand, Vlad gaged what kind of grip he'd need in order to not just smush the foam in his hand. "These ball are so damn light," he said as he looked up in time to see Danielis. "Hullo," he greeted before resuming his little study. With what looked like minimal force Vlad lofted the ball towards the wall. It soared quickly but the way it hit the wall appeared to be completely safe had it been a human. He chuckled. He was definitely going to lose this game if he had to casually loft the balls, giving their targets time to move. Oh well.

Danielis slowly surveyed the scene and quickly replied after promted by Kaider, "Hello, I am Danielis, and ya...Err uh(clears throat) You are?" Towards Vlad and Kaider in a calm, soft, and almost clear, accent-less tone.

"Oh, my apologies, I vas trying to see how to manage this vithout hurting anyvone," Vlad said to Danielis, grabbing another foam ball and tossing it idly up and down. "I am Vlad. It's nice to meet you, Danielis," he said with a smile.

Danielis looked at Vlad with a slightly confused look and said, "err.. Its dodgeball, pain and hurt is usually involved, otherwise those sadistic P.E. Teachers wouldn't enjoy it so much." With a light smile and grabs a ball out of the bin.

With a little grin at the new kid's cheek, Vlad shrugged. "True," he said casually. Then, he chucked the foam ball he'd been tossing. He was not exerting himself much at all and by the looks of his form he looked to be completely relaxed. The ball, however, zoomed to the far wall where it burst upon impact into innumerable floating particles. "But ve aren't in PE, and I'm not playing against the valls."

The smile on Danielis' face got slightly wider as he lightly tossed the ball up and an odd crackling sound was being made and the ball as it fell seemed to lose momentum and fall slower until it landed in his hand again and he said, "No. No we aren't, are we?" As he looked around him to make sure no one was near him.

Daniela walked in from the X-Men Hall Complex and held the door open for White and maybe Virgil, depending on how mean she felt and how long he took. The other girl looked so frail and tiny she did it almost unconsciouly. "Uh... it doesn't look TOO dangerous." she muttered to herself as she looked around the room. Then, she noticed Danielis. "Huh... you're new." she said, more like as statement to herself than anything else. "Uhm.. hi?" added the girl with a slight, swift smile.

Danielis didn't hear anyone while he was concentrating, which his eyes have turned a vibrant yellow, and with a light grunt he pushed the ball, that as soon as it left his hands zoomed over to the wall with loud crackles and left a trail of light yellow tendrils of lighting and the ball hit the wall with a light sploosh and humming as it instantaneously melted upon contact with the wall, "Awww... It melted." In a slightly dejected tone.

"Thank you" said White to Daniela as she held the door, entering the room right after her. She turned to Danielis, since the girl she had just met was addressing him, and watched how he destroyed the ball he had been playing with. "Uh, what kind of game are you playing?" she asked, having missed the discussion the group had had before. She wasn't sure she wanted to join the game if it involved melting balls or things of that sort.

As the other kids entered the room Flame just stood back from them with brows raised, particularity once the powers began to come out. You never did know what to expect here at Xavier's. She didn't care about being left out of any introductions, it's not like she made an effort to do so, and no doubt will run into them during classes and so on during their time here.

"I'm Kaider", replied Kaider to Danielis and followed as he played with the ball. "O-kayyy", ey said when the foam ball hit the wall and melted. "Are ye able to control that? Because if not, maybe ye should sit this one out..."

"Yeah, hate to have someones face melted off." Clearly, Flame was not helping the matter.

Danielis turned around and clarify, "I can control it... for the most part, you might get some static shock" and he chuckled a little too evil-y.

Daniela simply shrugged when she got no answer from Danielis, instead, she just let go of the door, she figured Virgil would come in eventually. "I'm Daniela." she said to White, answering to what she had asked in the hall complex. "People call me.. uhm.. Daniella." she added, mimicking White's own response, then she just raised her shoulders a bit and smirked. "I think most of us are here? We're just missing ADD kid who seems to be walking around in circles out there." she said to Kaider, pointing to the door behind her with her thumb. "Maybe we should pick teams or something?"

Vlad waved to White with a grin. "Hi, I'm Vlad, I didn't catch your name," he said as he walked casually over to Flame and bumped her as gently as possible with his hip in a friendly gesture. He made sure not to overdo it and knock her over.

"I'm White - er, I mean, Josephine", White said once again. Introducing herself over and over again was getting her confused, and she laughed a bit nervous. Mentally, she repeated the names she knew now in order to remember them later. "So, teams... for what, exactly?"

"Dodgeball apparently, but considering where we happen to live, safe to assume it will turn into Mutant Dodgeball." Flame answered for White. Really, you throw 'Mutant' in front of any sport and it was a normal thing at Xavier's, for those who actually had powers that gave them an advantage.

Shana chuckled at Daniela's comment about Virgil, and turned to White when she introduced herself. "Yeah, better be careful, like I said before. It's about to get wild in here," she said with a wink. She walked over to the dodgeballs and picked on up. "Well, should we make some rules after we pick teams?" She threw the ball into the air and caught it on the tip of her fingertip as she fused with the foam sphere.

Kaider looked suspiciously at Danielis and discreetly read his mind to find out if he was being serious. Ey couldn't let the newbie play if he was going to hurt the others. Ey then smiled at White and said: "Hi, I think I saw ye upstairs but didn't get a chance to say hi." Kaider then picked another ball and bounced it around as much as it would. "Yeah, rules would be good. One is obviously not to hurt anyone, so no megafast balls, Vlad."

Grinning at this Flame spoke up. "Yeah, and I would say no powers as part of the rules, but I know better than that. Sucks to have a passive power sometimes I tell ya."

Virgil slowly walked into the room while pulling his dreads back and using the little black rubberband hair thingy(OOC:sorry i forgot the name) with his head down.

Vlad grinned as he rolled his eyes to Kaider's comment. "I know, I haff to lob them vay up in the air though," he finished as he continued to throw the ball up and catch it, gaging what was hard enough and what was too much.

White observed the people in the room with interest. She had never been in front of other mutants before today - none she knew, at least - and she decided she liked the variety. Her eyes focused on Flame a little longer than they should, just because she looked so different, but then she stared at Vlad throwing the ball and catching it again. From Kaider's comment, she could only guess his powers had something to do with strength. Noticing she had been staring, she coughed and commented, "who will be picking the teams?" She was about to suggest 'eeny, meeny, miny moe' to pick captains, but she felt that would be like going back to kindergarten and refrained.

As Kaider tried to read Danielis' mind, Kaider 'heard' a wild flurry of thoughts, all with a hollow and reverberating hum/buzz in the background. The few parts that Kaider could pick out were 'crap crap crap crap', 'I hope... look bad in front... white', and 'seems like I'm gonna have to wear those...' and this all was in a Texan drawl.

Shana shrugged at mutliple things, including Flame's comment and White's question. "Well, I vote Kaider as one team captain. He's definitely an authority-like figure around here." She waited for the second nomination while she tossed the ball into the air, catching it on her fingertip repeatedly.

Daniela walked towards the center of the court and stood near Shana. "I second that, I figure Kaider will make a good captain, and make sure things stay balance. Maybe Vlad could be the other captain? since the rest of us are new and might not know how to control our powers appropriately." she said, placing her hands on her hips and then moving her left hand to illustrate who she meant by "new", which was pretty much everyone but Vlad and Kaider. "Kind of a "rank by seniority" deal, you know?"

With a grin, Vlad accepted Daniela's suggestion. "Ok, you ready Kaider? I pick Flame," he said, waiting for Kaider to make eir first choice.

"Oh?" Both of Flame's brows went up with being picked first, before a slow, and rather vicious grin took over her face. "Sure, sounds like fun." Maybe for her, not for Kaider with it being on the opposing team to her.

Kaider looked slightly irritatedly at Danielis, mostly mentally rolling eir eyes. However, when ey spoke to him again, ey didn't sound irritated, but mostly just concerned. "Listen, yer powers are dangerous an' I need to know that ye won't hurt anyone or we can't let ye play. What's it gonna be?" Kaider then turned to the others, who had already picked em and Vlad as captains. After Vlad had picked Flame to his team, ey said: "Well, okay. Hmm... Daniela?" Ey then took a little longer look at White and said: "Wait, I don't think I heard what yer power was. Would ye like to tell us?"

White stared at Danielis as Kaider said he was dangerous. There was certainly something strange about the boy, beyond him being a mutant. Just an attitude that was odd. This whole game would be interesting though, she thought. She turned to Kaider when it adressed her directly. "Oh. Well it's nothing dangerous, if that's what worries you. Not usually at least. I, um, I can play with light" she said. To explain what she was saying, she stretched a hand and after a few seconds a ball of foam appeared on it. If looked closely, though, one could notice there was something weird about it. "It's not really there", she said and giggled, moving her hand and causing the image to disappear.

"Gotcha" replied Daniela leisurely walking towards Kaider and standing behind it. She still had't expected to get picked so soon, and hoped she wasn't totally useless in the game, her team seemed to be at a disadvantage so far.

"Nice!" Flame responded to White's power display. "You'll be perfect for help in pranks." That evil little grin sticking with her during this.

"White," Vlad chose, pointing to her.

Kaider made eir next choice: "And... Shana."

"I vont dreads," Vlad said, gesturing to Virgil. "Sorry, I didn't get your name," he said to the young boy with an apologetic shrug.

Shana made a small fist-pump into the air, crying, "Woot!" using her own vocabulary. She made her own jolly way over to Kaider and Daniela, mentally preparing herself for the game.

Kaider looked at Danielis, who was the last one left and would be on eir team – if he could control his abilities enough. Kaider looked at him questioningly.

Vlad too looked to Danielis, arching a brow. "You vill be able to control yourself, right?" he asked, knowing the question on Kaider's mind even without telepathic abilities.

"Oh. I hadn't thought about that", said White to Flame's observation. She smiled when Vlad picked her and walked to stand next to him and Flame and the guy with the dreadlocks.

"Yeah, don't worry I can control it." Danielis said towards Kaider.

Virgil looked at Vlad and said, "Meh name is Virgil and it is nice to meet you."

Though ey still eyed Danielis a little suspiciously, Kaider said: "I think we're done then. We'll be over here so ye go that way." There were lines on the floor indicating the areas where the teams should stand. Kaider grabbed a ball and went to eir side, waiting for everyone else to be ready.

Nodding to Kaider, Vlad walked to his side and grabbed balls from the racks, rolling an even amount of balls to both sides until the racks were empty.

White caught the ball Vlad gave her and walked over to the side of her team. "Will there be a referee? Or something to tell us when to start?" she asked. She had played this game when she was younger in school and there was always the teacher to break up the discussions that eventually formed. No matter what they were playing there always seemed to be some issue of disagreement - maybe it was just her class, but she didn't think so.

"Don't worry," Flame started as she kicked up a ball off the floor to catch it in her hands. "Kaider is so Mr-Miss-It-Rules you think it was a clone of Cyclops or something, minus a few body parts. It'll keep us all in order," Throwing a smirk towards Kaider's direction. "Even if we don't want it to."

White understood half of what Flame answered (missing body parts? who was Cyclops? Mr-Miss-It?). She raised an eyebrow in confusion, but didn't inquire further. It didn't look like the right time to ask strange questions, but she did look at Kaider, wondering what was that all about. "Alright, shall we start then?", she said and positioned herself, ready to run away in case a foam ball approached her.

Shana nodded and moved to one side of the court and crouched, bouncing lightly from side to side on the balls of her feet. She pulled her arm back, ready to make a first strike when the game started. "Let's do it!" she said, smirking.

"Ya know what, I think I'll pass after all, don't feel like it right now," said Virgil and headed for the exit. With a "So long!" he went back to X-Men Hall Complex.

Danielis came to the same conclusion as Virgil on his own after staring at the floor for a while. "I got other places to be." With that, he was off to X-Men Hall Complex too.

As Danielis and Virgil left, Daniela could not help but follow the pair out with her eyes, it seemed like they had something bothering them or keeping them distracted, but at least for now I had nothing to do with her. "So I guess it's three on three, right?" she said with a smile, standing between Kaider and Shana, she crouched and grabbed one of the balls rather awkwardly, standing up again with it in both hands.

"Going to be one short game then." Flame said as she checked the strap on her thigh sheath, making sure there was no way her knife would fall out of it during the game. An accidental stabbing was no problem for her, but not something she wanted to inflict on the other students.

"Well, besides Miss Vagina's unwavering faith in me", said Kaider and glared somewhat annoyedly at Flame, "...the Danger Room records data an' we can easily see from there what happened if there's doubt. And... Danger Room, beep after 20 to 30 seconds." Kaider smiled and continued: "The beep marks the start of the game, so be ready."

After 28 second, the room beeped.

Even though Kaider had warned them, the beep still caught Daniela somewhat unprepared, she was a bit startled. "Uh? ah.. right!" she said as she crouched down a bit, ready to dodge whatever balls came her way before throwing her own foam ball, she wouldn't feel well if she was "unarmed" this early into the game.

Flame just stuck her tongue out at Kaider, it was a lot nicer and more polite than what signal she could of done, ignoring the glare. Their friendship was constantly up and down so it didn't phase her one moment, it would smooth out later on when emotions weren't so high. "Ok, who's first to go down?" She shot a wink at Vlad, sure the double meaning would get through as she threw her ball toward Kaider. It wasn't at full speed, but maybe a bit harder than the throw needed to be.

Grinning at Flame's kink, Vlad held his ball in front of him like a shield, prepared to deflect any that were thrown in his direction. He hopped sideways towards where a large number of balls were lying along the wall, making sure to put himself in a position to block, throw, and re-up his ammunition. He watched keenly as Flame's ball was thrown to Kaider, then taking aim and lobbing a ball to Daniela as gently as he could. It flew pretty quickly but not so fast as to be a concern.

As soon as the beep sounded, White threw her ball, aiming at Shana's legs. She started running around even before any foam balls were thrown her direction, keeping an eye on the opponents in case she had to jump or run the other way.

Kaider anticipated Flame's throw fairly well and threw eir ball at her just after she had thrown hers. Ey intended it to be a very low one, but the ball hit the ground before reaching Flame and then slid on it and rolled to her feet. Kaider thus left the dodging to the last millisecond, but managed nevertheless. Ey then grabbed another ball and waited for the next member of the other team to throw and lose some footing.

Shana caught White out of the corner of her eye, chucking the ball at her, and she swiftly moved to the side. However, she tripped over her own feet dooing so, and rolled onto the ground, throwing the ball with complete inaccuracy as the fell.

Daniela looked around quickly, unaware that Vlad's ball was headed towards her, snickering at the sheer patheticness of her own team, then she turned to face back at their opponents and saw a foam ball heading straight for her face. She barely managed to lift her own foam ball to her face, covering herself almost instinctively. "Eek!" she said as Vlad's ball hit her own foam ball and bounced off to the right. However, Daniela's own foam ball was knocked out of her hands and hit her lightly on the face, she stood there as her ball fell down to the floor like a dead weight, her hair was a bit messed up. "Wait... does that count?" she asked.

Already having squatted to pick up another ball to use as a shield, Vlad watched as his ball was headed towards Daniela. With a little grin, he saw her deflect it quickly and then be hit softly in the face with her own ball. "There's no vay that counts, Daniela!" he called over to her, keeping his eyes on the rest of her team in case he needed to block. "You've got to be hit with someone else's ball!" Seeing Shana on the floor, her ball actually managed to roll towards his feet and he stopped it like a soccer ball, though managed to stomp it all the way to the floor. "Whoops on both of us!" he called through a laugh.

"Ok then!" smirked Daniela crouching to retrieve her own ball, then, she skipped forward a bit to gain some momentum and tried to throw the ball as hard as she could at Vlad as a counterattack, making an arching movement with her left hand. The ball flew relatively fast in Vlad's general direction, but had no semblance of precision whatsoever.

Shana winced as she stood, rubbing her rear, and smirking a little. "I, uh, meant to do that," she said, laughing at Vlad squishing her ball. She looked around for another ball, and spotting one, she shook off the pain and swiftly moved the pick it up. Grabbing the ball, she reversed her direction, crouching as she ran and throwing the ball in Flame's direction with some force.

White didn't even acknowledge Shana had thrown a ball at her, as it landed on Vlad's feet. She kept running around and approached the ball Kaider had thrown, that landed near Flame. She picked it up while the other team seemed busy aiming at Vlad and Flame. Since she was near the scaled woman, the ball Shana threw approached her dangerously and she barely managed to get away from it with a "whaa!" exclamation. As soon as she recovered, she threw her ball towards Kaider.

When Daniela's counterattack came flying quickly at Vlad he managed to deflect it from him by using the ball in his hand, that was getting smaller and smaller every time he thought to look at it. His grip was beginning to get away with him again, just like when he'd smooshed Shana's wayward throw. However, being accustomed to catching baseballs coming much faster and considerably smaller in size, Vlad had no problem keeping his eye on the balls as they flew. "Good throw!" he said to White as he kept a fleeting eye on the game, hoping that her throw would hit its mark.

Flame jumped to the side to avoid the ball aimed at her, as well as any possible deflection there could of been off White if she had not gotten out of the way in time, kicking it up into her hands once it hit the ground. All those hours of Danger Room (forced) training, as well as being quite a fighter helped within the realm of sports, even if it wasn't in her first choice of extra curriculum activities. Throwing it between her hands she eyed those on the other team, waiting for a chance to catch one of them out.

Kaider didn't interfere with Vlad and Daniela's exchange and instead kept eir eye on the opponents. This time ey saw White's ball coming and sidestepped just before throwing eir own ball at her in return.

Daniela scurried around, though not particularly fast or skillfully, she just figured if she moved in a zig-zag she might be a harder target to hit. She took a quick glance at her team mates, listing their powers in her mind, without stopping her motion, she focused on her own thoughts. "Ahhm... Kaider! whas it? If you can hear me, I have an idea." she said in her mind as she looked at Vlad, who she figured was the toughest rival at the moment. "My aim sucks, but you seem to be more athletic, when you get a ball, throw it over Vlad's head, miss on purpose." she added as she saw Vlad deflect her own throw. "I'll make a shield behind him and bounce the ball back before it hits the ground. I won't be able to move while casting the shield, but even if I get hit, it'll be like trading a Pawn for a Rook.

Kaider was actually focused enough on the opponents that ey might have missed Daniela's thoughts, had they been less focused on em. Ey smiled at her and replied: "I got that. Ye could move shield to cover yerself right after the ball ricochets though, right?" Ey quickly picked up the ball White had thrown at em and aimed at Vlad, being seemingly predictable. "Ready? I'll throw now!" With that, Kaider threw the ball at Vlad, but it seemed to be a little lower than intended, even if it was going to go over his head if he didn't move.

White watched how Kaider dodged her ball and frowned. She had thought this game would end in 3 minutes, but the players were better than expected (or very lucky). She saw Kaider throwing the ball towards her and sidestepped quickly, letting it bounce softly on the floor behind her. She thought she better aimed at someone else, and as soon as she reached the ball on the floor (trying not to expose her back to possible attacks) she threw it towards Daniela. It was a pretty low ball and she feared it would land on the floor before hitting her, though.

Unaware of the plot against him, Vlad saw the ball coming at him from Kaider and lifted his arm to swat at it with the ball in his hand. He hit it away from over his head and back toward Kaider in what he hoped to be a nice volley.

Seeing as good a chance at any Flame threw her ball at Kaider at the same time Vlad tried to rebound his one back towards em. Double attack meant double chance of hitting em, right?

Daniela heard Kaider's answer in her mind and concentrated on a reply. "Uhm.. right.. I can only do one at a time.." she admitted, slightly embarassed at her limitations. As soon as Kaider threw the ball at Vlad, she lifted up her hand towards Vlad, knowing him focused on Kaider because of the way the hulking man was looking. When he bounced the ball back with his own, Daniela materialized a quick shield, about twice as large as the foam ball itself, about three feet directly in front of Vlad and one feet above his head. Kaider's ball bounced on the lower part of the shield and headed straight towards the Russian's stomach, the shield then quickly dissipated. Too late did Daniela notice White's low ball, she barely had time to lower her hand from the shield, but had nothing to cover with, short of a miracle, she was gonna get hit in the next second or two.

His own volley came rocketing back at Vlad so quickly that, as it hit his stomach, his hair was ruffled from its downward descent. Having not seen the shield at all, Vlad looked dumbstruck and scratched his head a little, looking around with a slight grin. "Vot vos that?" he asked as he moved clearly to the edge of the room to indicate that he was out.

Daniela managed to point to Vlad and exclamate a single "HA!" before being hit herself by White's ball, a little below the left knee, the ball then bounced and rolled off harmlessly. "Ah crap..." said Daniela looking down, then shrugged and walked off to the edge of the room. Sitting with her back to the wall and her legs crossed, she cheered the others "Do your best guys!"

Seeing Daniela's reaction, Vlad put two and two together. Suddenly, he was reminded of the bubble sort of thing that she'd accidentally made when he'd tried to sit down to be closer to her while they were waiting for the elevator. The sting was still there but he wasn't much bothered outwardly. Instead, he called over to her, "That vos you, huh?"

"Crap," Shana muttered when Daniela was hit. She nodded at Daniela's request and looked around for another ball. She found two more behind her and picked them both up, guarding herself in case any ball were to be aimed at her. Glancing at the two opponents left on the opposing team, she made an impulse decision. Dashing to the center of the court, and stopping abruptly at the dividing line, she threw one ball at White's legs with as much force as she could, then immediately threw the other at White's upper torso, hoping to confuse the girl, but also leaving herself extremely vulnerable to close-range attacks.

Kaider could anticipate Vlad's throw and almost dived to evade it just when Flame too sent another ball at em. Nearly midair, ey didn't quite know how to evade the ball without falling face down on the floor, but ey saw another chance and took it. Ey turned to face Flame's ball and with eir arms free, ey tried to catch it, though it meant ey'd fall shoulder first to the floor and probably get it a little hurt.

"Ah, damn." Flame stuck her bottom lip out as Kaider somehow twisted around so they caught it. "Damn you and your agility mind invader." But still, she didn't think ey would have been able to make the catch, guess she was wrong.

Daniela jumped a bit, noticing she'd been caught, then she relaxed a bit. "Sorry" she said simply, her playfully sticking her tongue out. "We all just gotta make due with what we got, right?" she chuckled. "It was just a rook for a pawn." she added as she crossed her arms behind her head and leaned back against the wall.

White saw how the bubble suddenly appeared in front of Vlad and how he got hit. "Hey! That's like cheating" she said. She remembered they hadn't excluded powers from the game, but it still felt like cheating. She was too distracted by this when Shana threw two foam balls at her. She ducked for the first one and tripped over the second one, falling flat on her stomach. "Ow", she said, realizing Kaider had caught Flame's ball and her team was out.

Vlad grinned at Daniela's cheek. She had a good mind for sports, he could tell. Sometimes sacrifice was the best alternative. He was pretty sure she'd made a chess reference but he wasn't much of a chess player... "Oy, you can come stand next to me Flame," he said as he watched Kaider catch Flame's ball. "GO VITE! Those guys don't stand a chance!" He called encouragingly to the only remaining player on his team.

"Thanks big guy, but," Heading over, Flame took up Vlad's offer, grabbing a spot next to him. "But looks like we're all out, unless Shana and Kaider want to duke it out against each other now."

"Damn, von by von like dominoes," Vlad said, having missed White's expulsion from the game as he was watching Flame. "Vot now?"

"No idea" shrugged Daniela "It was fun tho, it went the exact opposite of how I had anticipated." she added as she stood up and dusted the back of her pants very lightly. Then she looked up at the clean metallic ceiling of the room, squinting at the high powered lights shining down on the group. "What time is it anyways?" she asked, she'd forgotten they couldn't see the sun down in the military complex style basement.

"YES!" Shana cried when her ball hit White. She celebrated for a split second, then headed over to the rest of the players that were sitting out. Holding her hand out for a high-five, she smiled at each of the players, saying "Good game," as she walked by them. She stopped at Daniela's question. "Umm... I have no clue." She looked around for any sign.

"Bah" said White standing up. She didn't like losing, but she had to admit it had been fun anyway. She approached the group, seeing how they were discussing what to do next. "What else is there do see here? I would never had thought the house had this huge basement when I first saw it!"

Kaider got up quickly after catching Flame's ball, ready to defend emself against more balls, but then noticed that White hadn't managed to evade and eir team had won. Ey smiled quite widely and threw Flame's ball away, accidentally using eir hurt shoulder. A surge of pain shot from it and Kaider grabbed it with eir other hand. "Ow... Maybe I shouldn't have done that." Ey rolled the shoulder carefully around a bit. "I suppose it's okay enough." Answering White's question, ey continued: "Well, there's an infirmary an' a hangar. I don't think we should go there though." Ey then turned to the Danger Room console by the door. "Danger Room, what's the time? Then stand by."

A computer voice somewhat resembling Xavier's came through the speakers: "18:03." The room then gathered all the balls using a sticky probe, took them inside the floor and changed the room back to its normal, sterile self.

"Afternoon then," Vlad said to himself as she watched the room go back to the docile, unassuming blank canvas it usually was. Part of him said that he should check in on Korvka but he was pretty sure that she was doing fine now that she had someone to talk to. With a shrug he started walking towards the door. "A tour for the new arrivals voodn't be a poor idea," he said casually, leaning against the doorway and casting a glance towards Flame.

"Yeah, maybe." Flame gave a shrug of her shoulders at the suggestion. "This place it far to easy to get lost in. May as well have it so they think they know where they're going when they do get lost." She threw a glance back at Kaider and the fact ey were in pain. "Shouldn't of tried to catch that last ball, you ok?"

"Whoa" said White as the room answered Kaider's question and everything around them changed. "That's amazing!" she commented, really surprised. She agreed an infirmary and hangar weren't places they should be visiting, but she couldn't wait to see all the stuff that was in this house.

Vlad chuckled as he watched White's reaction. "So you'd like a tour then?" he asked. "No doubt Kaider knows the most but any of us could show you around if you vonted."

White nodded in answer to Vlad's question. "Sure thing. You guys dont have maps for the newbies, do you?", she asked and grinned. She didn't think she would get lost that easily in here but you never knew.

"I'm all up for a tour." shrugged Daniela though it was honestly hard to imagine a more outrageous place than the Danger room being within the Mansion. "We're also supposed to have classes and stuff right? Will there be a sign-up or orientation meeting at any point?" she asked, then leaned back against the wall with her hands in the back pockets of her jeans, waiting for the group to decide on a course of action.

"Tour? Ye sure ye can't get enough of looking at a bunch of classrooms?" said Kaider with a grin, still trying to roll eir shoulder so that it wouldn't hurt, but not really succeeding. "Didn't Xavier give ye a mental imprint of the mansion? That doesn't really compare to actually seeing the places but ye should know where to go and it should keep ye from getting lost. Well, except here, but people aren't supposed to come here alone anyway." Kaider glanced at Flame and said privately: "Oh, suddenly ye care? All forgotten about the missing ones now, are we?" After a very short pause, ey added, looking more relieved: "Not that I mind, y're better this way." Ey turned to White, smiling: "Yeah, despite what Flame says, I think this room is pretty nifty. I don't feel like doing a tour though, so... Vlad an' Shana, could ye do that?" As Daniela asked her question, Kaider looked a little contemplative. "Well, usually there's been ...something, if a lot of people have come in at the same time, like at the start of semester... but it really depends at a place like this because situations can change so much. I suppose we'll get to know by morning at the latest but probably a bit later." Ey shrugged.

Both of Flame's brows shot up at the private talk, before dropping again into a glare, any good mood she had from the game was well gone. "You're such an asshole." Not waiting for a, response she stalked out of the room, flipping Kaider the bird as she exited into X-Men Hall Complex.

Vlad's eyebrows shot up as he watched Flame stalk from the room. He'd had his fair share of dealings with angry girls, having lived with Korvka most of his life. "Hang on a minute," he said, casually walking after Flame into X-Men Hall Complex.

Leaning against the doorway after having spoken to Flame for a moment, Vlad leaned against the door frame, filling it entirely so that he had to duck a little. "So have you guys made a decision? Shana, you up for touring the place vith me and the new vons?"

Shana looked at Vlad, smiling. "Hell yeah, if you're up for it! It will at least keep me busy for a while." She walked over to the doorway.

White looked at Flame as she stomped out of the room apparently without motivation. "What was that about?" she asked, disconcerted about her attitude. Truth be told, Flame scared her a bit. She shrugged and would have left the room if it wasn't for Vlad, who was blocking the exit. "Where are we heading first?" she asked looking up at him.

As White looked up at him, Vlad realized that he was monopolizing the only exit and leisurely ducked out of the doorway so that only his head poked into the danger room. "I'll get an elevator then. There's not much else to see down here." Then he disappeared back into X-Men Hall Complex.

Kaider felt some kind of annoying triumph over having made Flame feel bad for a change, since it was her who kept hurting em most often. Ey really didn't want to talk about it, so ey ignored White's question for now. "Let's head to the hall then." With that, ey walked to X-Men Hall Complex.

White followed Kaider and Vlad out of the room to the X-Men Hall Complex.

Shana also followed behind Vlad, Kaider, and White into X-Men Hall Complex.

Daniela figured this all meant the tour was officially starting, so she followed after the others, into the X-Men Hall Complex.
