On the south side of the X-Men Grounds sits a chain link fenced in recreational area. Two basketball courts sit within, as well as two tennis courts. The furthest south area holds a peat stoned playground area, complete with swings, jungle gym, and slides. A small wooden shed in the corner holds the various sports equipment.

Sitting on one of the raised platforms that made up the jungle gym, Isabelle leaned back against the low rail and took a drag from a lit cigarette, exhaling the smoke out into the night sky with a sigh. She was dressed in a pair of cut-off jeans shorts and a red tank with a shredded back over the bathing suit she’d bought earlier today, her hair pulled up into a sloppy, lop-sided bun, and the eye make-up she’d put on that morning had smeared a bit, though not quite so much as to make her look like she was wearing a raccoons mask. The screen of her phone lit up her face with a dim glow as she contemplated the name and number listed there. Izzy hadn’t spoken to her father since Frag and company had released her; she told him she was going back to Xavier’s and he just nodded and asked her if she needed any money. She hadn’t called him the entire time she’d been here, nor had he tried to call her, and while she told herself she didn’t give a rat’s ass it didn’t explain why she was out here by herself with her phone in her hand, staring at his number. It was stupid. She didn’t care and why should she? He obviously didn’t care. Besides, what the fuck would she say to him anyway? Hey, thanks for ignoring my very existence, by the way I work for a mutant terrorist group now? A bitter laugh escaped her and she grabbed the warm beer next to her and took a swig of it, wiping the remainder of it from her face with the back of her hand.
