About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

This stunning portrait compliment the general green-ness that is Elftown (part of the reason, other than its sheer, unusual beauty, that it was chosen to be the first featured Daily Art), all while striking intrigue in its viewers. I know that I personally wanted to know who she was, and the reasons behind her defiant, well-chisled expression. Her artist, [Charles], wouldn't tell me much, mentioning that she was a character in a novel in the works, leaving me to only want to read it to find out. Based on a picture of a model in a magazine, the colouring was completely improvised in PSP, and he claims that her name is uncertain at the moment, but Arianne seems the most likely possibility.
